In order to improve the efficiency of film cooling, numerical investigation was carried out to study the effects of different film-cooled plates on surface heat transfer. Both grooved and non-grooved surfaces were concerned. The modeling was per- formed using Fluent software with the adoption of Shear-Stress Transport （SST） k-ωmodel as the turbulence closure. The coolant was supplied by a single film cooling hole with an inclination angle of 30°. The Mach numbers for the coolant flow and the mainstream flow were fixed at 0 and 0.6, respectively. At three blowing ratios of 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5, the aerodynamic behaviour of the mixing process as well as the heat transfer performance of the film cooling were presented. The numerical results were validated using experimental data extracted from a benchmark test. Good agreements between numerical results and the ex- perimental data were observed. For the film cooling efficiency, it shows that both local and laterally averaged cooling effectiveness can be improved by the non-smooth surface at different blowing ratios. Using the grooved surface, the turbulence intensity upon the plate can be reduced notably, and the mixing between the two flows is weakened due to the reduced turbu lence level. The results indicate that the cooling effectiveness of film cooling can be enhanced by applying the grooved surface.

患儿，女，2月6日龄，以“皮肤黄染10 d”入院。家系全外显组测序结果提示FOCAD基因存在NM_001375567.1：c.4203C>G（***1401*）和c.2303dupC（***769Phefs*54）复合杂合变异。诊断为FOCAD基因变异致儿童重型先天性肝病。以保肝降酶对症支持治疗为主，经治疗16 d，好转出院，出院后继续口服药物治疗。19 d后因凝血功能异常再次入院，治疗4 d，基因结果回报异常，家属放弃治疗，2个月后死亡。

Ti-23Nb-0.7Ta-2zr-O gum metal(GM)is an attractive candidate material for applications that require superior mechanical *** our earlier investigation of the GM[1],geometrical softening and the generation of adiabatic shear bands(ASBs)were proposed as primary reasons for the documented anisotropic impact *** the present study,electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD)analysis reveals two different deformed microstructures,i.e.,deformed ultrafine grains(UFGs)and dynamically recrystallized UFGs,formed in the ASBs of GM samples processed by extrusion equal channel angular pressing(ECAP),*** calculation of temperature rise during dynamic compression suggests that the above microstructure differences in the ASBs was originated from their different maximum ASB temperatures(608 K for extruded GM and 1159 K for ECAP-processed GM).Moreover,our calculation on the temperature at the onset of ASBs indicates that microstructural softening is the primary cause for the development of ASBs in both extruded GM(321 K)and ECAP-processed GM(331 K).

Enhanced pitting corrosion resistance of a zr-based metallic glass by ultraviolet light irradiation

The influence of ultraviolet light irradiation on the pitting corrosion performance of a zr_(2)Ni metallic glass was examined using electrochemical methods and immersion test in 0.05 mol/L NaCl *** the results of potentiostatic polarization,the pitting potential of the ultraviolet light-irradiated sample shifted positively with a value of~300 mV,revealing the enhanced pitting corrosion resistance of the *** corrosion morphology after the immersion test also demonstrated lower degree of corrosion damage and improved pitting resistance of the sample with ultraviolet light irradiation.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis revealed more zirconium enrichment in the passive film and no chloride ions adsorption for the samples with ultraviolet irradiation,accounting for the suppression of the pit generation and *** findings indicate that ultraviolet light irradiation improves the pitting corrosion resistance of the zr-based metallic glasses,which are promising structural materials to be used in corrosion environments with high ultraviolet irradiation.

The effects of pulse frequency f and duty cycle r on the deposition rate, composition, morphology, and hardness of pulse electrodeposited RE （rare earth）-Ni-W-P-SiC composite coatings have been studied. The results indicate that pulse current can improve the deposition rate of RE-Ni-W-P-SiC composite coatings; W, P, and SiC contents in the coating decrease with the increase of pulse frequency and reach the lowest value at f = 33Hz, whereas the RE content in the composite coatings increases with the increase of pulse frequency. SiC content decreases with the increase of duty cycle, W content reaches the lowest value, and P content reaches the highest value at r = 0.4; pulse current and RE can lead to smaller size of the crystalline grains; however, the effects of different pulse frequency and duty cycle on the morphologies of RE-Ni-W-P-SiC composite coatings are not obvious. The hardness of RE-Ni-W-P-SiC composite coatings is the highest when the duty cycle is at 0.6 and 0.8 and pulse frequency is at 50Hz. At the same pulse frequency, the hardness of RE-Ni-W-P-SiC composite coatings at r= 0.8 is higher than that at r= 0.6.

Rational design of AgGaS/znS/znS quantum dots with a near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield via double shelling scheme

In this study,a two-step method was used to synthesize highly luminescent AgGaS/znS/znS quantum dots(QDs).In the first step,an inner znS shell was formed via a one-pot method,which resulted in a smaller lattice mismatch between the AgGaS core and the outer znS shell,thereby facilitating the formation of a thick outer *** the two-step shelling process,the synthesized AgGaS/znS/znS QDs showed an excellent photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQy)of 96.4%with a peak wavelength of 508 nm,repre-senting the highest PLQy reported thus far for AgGaS ***,the effect of halogen ions in zn precursors on the shelling process was *** was proposed that the capacity of halogen ions to coordinate with the QDs influenced the balance between zn cation diffusion and znS shelling ***,the znS shelling reaction was dominant when znCl_(2)was employed,while zn cation diffusion was the dominant process under the I^(−)-rich *** work provides insights into the interfacial restructuring during the znS shelling and offers a clear map for the tailored synthesis of core/shell QDs.

Full understanding of the thermomechanical behaviors of materials at high strain rates and high temperatures are of great importance from not only scientific meaning but also practical value in engineering structure design and safety *** efforts have been made for abilities of operation the split Hopkinson bars,the most popular technique for experimental determination of mechanical behaviors of materials over the strain rates from 10^2 to 10^4 s^−1 over the past 70 years,at high temperatures since 1960s.A review of experiment work is presented in this paper to give an overview of the development of experimental techniques at high temperatures based on Hopkinson bar *** principles of the split Hopkinson bar requires the loading bars avoiding temperature gradient or keeping relatively low temperature when performing high temperature *** such as performing temperature gradient corrections,rapid heating or using special designed automatically assembled systems were proposed by researchers to enable the operation of the split Hopkinson bars at temperature as high as ***,to the application of high speed photographic technique for capturing the dynamic deformation process of the specimen in high temperature Hopkinson bar testing,some key issues of eliminating the strong thermal radiation induced lights oversaturation and de-blurring of images due to insufficient exposure at high temperature and high strain rate condition,as well as fabrication of high contrast speckle pattern for high temperature digital image correlation measurement were also *** technique can now enable the split Hopkinson bar testing to be performed at high temperature up to 1873 K under the loading conditions of compression or tension with the in situ observation and full field measurement of deformation as *** paper concludes with summaries of the most important achievements and highlighting of the prospects,trends and remaining challenge
