An experiment was conducted to test the efficacy of a mechanical barrier around the tree trunk with one spray of Cypermethrin @ 1 ml/l and turmeric powder extract @ 15 g/500ml of water applied in integrated approaches against mango mealybug on mango tree. There were 7 treatments including a control. The treatments were Mechanical barrier, Cypermethrin spray @ 1 ml/l, Turmeric powder spray @ 15 g/500ml of water, Cypermethrin spray + Turmeric spray, Cypermethrin spray + Mechanical barrier, Turmeric + Mechanical barrier and untreated control. Three-year-old mango plants grafted from a 5-year-old mango tree (Variety Amropali) and planted in pots were used in the experiment. The treatment, Cypermethrin spray + Mechanical barrier gave the highest reduction of mango mealybug population 87.06% to 93.90% followed by Turmeric spray + Mechanical barrier and showed 81.13% to 86.04% and Mechanical barrier alone showed 81.13% to 84.59% population reduction. Turmeric powder extract showed only (8.42% to 23.77%) population reduction of mango mealybug which was lowest compared to other treatments.

Angiotensin II (Ang II) is the main mediator of the Renin-Angiotensin-System acting on AT1 and other AT receptors. It is regarded as a pleiotropic agent that induces many actions, including functioning as a growth factor, and as a contractile hormone, among others. The aim of this work was to examine the impact of Ang II on the expression and function of α1-adrenergic receptors (α1-ARs) in cultured rat aorta, and aorta-derived smooth muscle cells. Isolated Wistar rat aorta was incubated for 24 h in DMEM at 37˚C, then subjected to isometric tension and to the action of added norepinephrine, in concentration-response curves. Ang II was added (1 × 10−5 M), and in some experiments, 5-Methylurapidil (α1A-AR antagonist), AH11110A (α1B-AR antagonist), or BMY-7378 (α1D-AR antagonist), were used to identify the α1-AR involved in the response. Desensitization of the contractile response to norepinephrine was observed due to incubation time, and by the Ang II action. α1D-AR was protected from desensitization by BMY-7378;while RS-100329 and prazosin partially mitigated desensitization. In another set of experiments, isolated aorta-derived smooth muscle cells were exposed to Ang II and α1-ARs proteins were evaluated. α1D-AR increased at 30 and 60 min post Ang II exposure, the α1A-AR diminished from 1 to 4 h, while α1B-AR remained unchanged over 24 h of Ang II exposure. Ang II induced an increase of α1D-AR at short times, and BMY-7378 protected α1D-AR from desensitization.

In this paper,we analyze thin-shell wormholes from two identical copies of charged static cylindrically symmetric spacetimes using Visser’s‘cut and paste’approach under the influence of f(R,T)gravity Harko,Lobo,Nojiri,and Odintsov(2011,***.D 84,024020).In this scenario,the modified Chaplygin gas supports the exotic matter in the shell which allows,one to examine the dynamics of constructed *** utilize the junction condition to connect the interior and exterior geometries across the hypersurface and calculate different components of the Lanczos equation recently computed by Roza in Rosa(2021,***.D 103,104069).We analyze the stability of the thin-shell wormhole models under linear perturbations while keeping the cylindrical symmetry and also examine the influence of charge on their *** positive quantity of the second derivative of potential at the throat radius might be interpreted as the stability *** find both unstable and stable wormhole solutions for different parameters included in the equation of state and specific forms of considered gravity and illustrate them theoretically as well as *** examine the impact of electric charge on the stability region of a constructed wormhole,which suggests that a wormhole model with a charge may exhibit more stable behavior compared to an uncharged system.

Goals: The aim of this study was to determine the antibiotic resistance profile of serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae strains circulating in Bangui. Methodology: A prospective and analytical analysis was carried out at the National Laboratory of Clinical Biology and Public Health from 2017 to 2022. The strains came from our study on the contribution to the study of antibiotic sensitivity of Streptococcus pneumoniae strains. The multiplex PCR test was used for its cost-effectiveness in terms of amplifiers which can be purified in order to be sequenced. It also makes it possible to detect several germs as well as their serotypes. For a PCR reaction, several elements are involved in the reaction medium or Master Mix. These are the desoxyribonucleotides (dNTPs), the magnesium ions (MgCl2) and the primers. A set of 14 primers divided into 3 classes were used. Class 1 primers served as an internal control by targeting the cpsA gene. It is a highly conserved gene found in capsular loci characterized to date. The primers of the second class were used to target specific serotypes by specific reactions (out of six possibilities). The group reaction was carried out using the primers of the third class in order to carry out an initial screening of the samples and to classify the pneumococcal isolates. Related serotypes were grouped based on the amplification of common genes. Using the technique of electrophoresis on agarose gel and an ultraviolet radiation device, the migration bands are then visualized and analyzed. The data collected had been entered into Excel 2010 and analyzed with Epi info 7. The exact Fischer chi2 test at the 5% threshold, the relative risk and its 95% confidence interval were used to compare the proportions and determine the associations. Results: 187 antibiotic-resistant strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae were collected. The thermal properties of pure graphene and graphene-impurity （impurity = Fe, Co, Si, and Ge） sheets have been investigated at various pressures （0-7 GPa） and temperatures （0-900 K）. Some basic thermodynamic quantities such as bulk modulus, coefficient of volume thermal expansion, heat capacities at constant pressure and constant volume of these sheets as a function of temperature and pressure are discussed. Furthermore, the effect of the impurity density and tensile strain on the thermodynamic properties of these sheets are investigated. All of these calculations are performed based on the density functional theory and full quasi harmonic approximation.

Directed x-rays produced in the interaction of sub-picosecond laser pulses of moderate relativistic intensity with plasma of near-critical density are investigated. Synchrotron-like (betatron) radiation occurs in the process of direct laser acceleration (DLA) of electrons in a relativisticlaser channel when the electrons undergo transverse betatron oscillations in self-generated quasi-static electric and magnetic fields. In anexperiment at the PHELIX laser system, high-current directed beams of DLA electrons with a mean energy ten times higher than the ponderomotive potential and maximum energy up to 100 MeV were measured at 10^(19) W/cm^(2)laser intensity. The spectrum of directed x-raysin the range of 5–60 keV was evaluated using two sets of Ross filters placed at 0°and 10°to the laser pulse propagation axis. The differential x-ray absorption method allowed for absolute measurements of the angular-dependent photon fluence. We report 10^(13) photons/sr withenergies >5 keV measured at 0°to the laser axis and a brilliance of 10^(21) photons s^(−1) mm^(−2) mrad−2(0.1%BW)−1. The angular distributionof the emission has an FWHM of 14°–16°. Thanks to the ultra-high photon fluence, point-like radiation source, and ultra-short emissiontime, DLA-based keV backlighters are promising for various applications in high-energy-density research with kilojoule petawatt-class laserfacilities.

We presented results of electrical resistivity, magnetoresistivity and Seebek effect measurements done in the paramagnetic state of an antiferromagnetically ordering intermetalfic compound Trains. It was found that the magnetic part of the electrical resistivity showed maximum at 18 K and the lgT dependence in temperature range 20〈T〈100 K. The magnetoresistivity was negative. The txansversal magnetoresistivity fulfilled the single-ion Kondo scaling for temperatures 2〈（T＋0.5 K）〈28 K. Thermcelectricpower displayed a sharp minimum at 10 K. Electrical properties indicated that Tmln3 is likely a dense Kondo system.

A study was conducted to compare the diversity of 2-, 3-, and 4-chlorobenzoate degraders in two pristine soils and one contaminated sewage sludge. These samples contained strikingly different populations of mono-chlorobenzoate degraders. Although fewer cultures were isolated in the uncontaminated soils than contaminated one, the ability of microbial populations to mineralize chlorobenzoate was widespread. The 3- and 4-chlorobenzoate degraders were more diverse than the 2-chlorobenzoate degraders. One of the strains isolated from the sewage sludge was obtained. Based on its phenotype, chemotaxonomic properties and 16S rRNA gene, the organism S-7 was classified as Rhodococcus erythropolis. The strain can grow at temperature from 4 to 37℃. It can utilize several （halo）aromatic compounds. Moreover, strain S-7 can grow and use 3-chlorobenzoate as sole carbon source in a temperatures range of 10-30℃ with stoichiometric release of chloride ions. The psychrotolerant ability was significant for bioremediation in low temperature regions. Catechol and chlorocatechol 1,2-dioxygenase activities were present in cell free extracts of the strain, but no （chloro）catechol 2,3- dioxygenase activities was detected. Spectral conversion assays with extracts from R. erythropolis S-7 showed accumulation of a compound with a similar UV spectrum as chloro-cis,cis-muconate from 3-chlorobenzoate. On the basis of these results, we proposed that S-7 degraded 3-chlorobenzoate through the modified ortho-cleave pathway.

Widely distributed in natural deposits,the overconsolidated(OC)clays have attracted extensive experimental investigations on their mechanical behaviors,especially in the 1960s and *** on these results,numerous constitutive models have also been *** models generally fall into two categories:one based on the classical plasticity theory and the other the bounding surface(BS)plasticity theory,with the latter being more popular and *** BS concept and the subloading surface(SS)concept are the two major BS plasticity *** features of these two concepts and the representative models based on them are introduced,*** unified hardening(UH)model for OC clays is also based on the BS plasticity theory but distinguishes itself from other models by the integration of the reference yield surface,unified hardening parameter,potential failure stress ratio,arid transformed stress *** is made to the Hvorslev envelop employed in the UH model to improve its capability of describing the behaviors of clays with extremely high overconsolidation ratio in this *** comparison among the BS model,SS model,and UH model is *** shows that all these three models can characterize the fundamental behaviors of OC clays,such as the stress dilatancy,strain softening and attainment of the critical *** UH model with the revised Hvorslev envelop has the fewest parameters which are identical to those of the modified Cam-Clay model.
