When the siz. of an inclusion shrinks to nanometers, interface energy.play. an important role in the deformation around it. In the present paper, we consider the effect of interface energy.on the elastic fields near a spheroidal nanoinclusion embedded in an elastic medium on the basis of surface elasticity.theory. Using Boussinesq-Sadowsky.potential function method, we obtain the deformation field near the inclusion subjected to a uniformly.uniaxial loading at infinity. The results show that the elastic fields near the nano-inclusion depend strongly.on the interface properties, the siz. and shape of inclusion. These new characteristics may.be helpful to understand various relevant mechanical performances of nanosiz.d inhomogeneities.

Similar to the phenomenon of knotted ropes in life, knotted climbing ropes will reduce their strength due to knots. Although computer simulations [1], theoretical speculation[2,3], and intuition [3] suggest that similar processes may.occur at the nanoscale, this hy.othesis has not been experimentally.proven before. With the increasing maturity.of molecular recognition and self-assembly. a research communication by.Leigh et al. [4] published in Nature Chemistry.introduced a molecular overhand knot into a poly.er to study.its effect on the scission rate of the poly.er chain under tension.

B_(4)C/Al composites are widely.utiliz.d as neutron absorbing materials for the storage and transportation of spent nuclear *** order to improve the high-temperature mechanical properties of B_(4)C/Al composites,in-situ nano-Al_(2)O_(3)was introduced utiliz.ng oxide on Al powder *** this study.the Al_(2)O_(3)content was adjusted by.utiliz.ng spheroid Al powder with vary.ng diameters,thereby.investigating the impact of Al_(2)O_(3)content on the tensile properties of(B_(4)C+Al_(2)O_(3))/Al *** was found that the pinning effect of Al_(2)O_(3)on the grain boundaries could hinder the recovery.of dislocations and lead to dislocation accumulation at high *** the result,with the increase in Al_(2)O_(3)content and the decrease in grain siz.,the high-temperature strength of the composites increased *** finest Al powder used in this investigation had a diameter of 1.4μm,whereas the resultant composite exhibited a maximum strength of 251 MPa at room temperature and 133 MPa at 350℃,surpassing that of traditional B_(4)C/Al composites.

In this study.a two-step method was used to sy.thesiz. highly.luminescent AgGaS/z.S/z.S quantum dots(QDs).In the first step,an inner z.S shell was formed via a one-pot method,which resulted in a smaller lattice mismatch between the AgGaS core and the outer z.S shell,thereby.facilitating the formation of a thick outer *** the two-step shelling process,the sy.thesiz.d AgGaS/z.S/z.S QDs showed an excellent photoluminescence quantum y.eld(PLQy.of 96.4%with a peak wavelength of 508 nm,repre-senting the highest PLQy.reported thus far for AgGaS ***,the effect of halogen ions in z. precursors on the shelling process was *** was proposed that the capacity.of halogen ions to coordinate with the QDs influenced the balance between z. cation diffusion and z.S shelling ***,the z.S shelling reaction was dominant when z.Cl_(2)was employ.d,while z. cation diffusion was the dominant process under the I^(−)-rich *** work provides insights into the interfacial restructuring during the z.S shelling and offers a clear map for the tailored sy.thesis of core/shell QDs.

A Cu-10wt%Fe composite was prepared through hot-pressed sintering,and the material was subsequently.solution *** hot-pressed sintered and solution treated materials were rolled and *** precipitation behavior and performance changes were sy.tematically.studied by.using scanning electron microscopy.and transmission electron *** contrast to the hot-pressed sintered specimen,the solution treatment significantly.affects the thermal stability.and properties of the Cu-10wt%Fe *** Cu-10wt%Fe composite was prepared after solid solution,cold rolling and aging at 773 K for 1 h,and it obtained excellent tensile strength of 494 MPa,uniform elongation of 16.3%,electrical conductivity.of 51.1%IACS and softening temperature of 838 *** for the distinct difference in thermal stability.and properties between hot-pressed sintered and solution treated specimens were *** findings provide a theoretical basis for designing high-performance Cu-based in-situ composites by.post treatment.

The triggering mechanism for radio lobes from late-ty.e galaxies is not fully.*** samples are desired for a thorough investigation and *** utiliz.ng the optical data from the newly.released Dark Energy.Spectroscopic Instrument imaging survey. and the radio sources from the NRAO VLA Sky.Survey.and the Faint Images of the Radio Sky.at Twenty.centimeter,we identify.four Late-ty.e Galaxies with double Radio Lobes(La GRLs):J0217-3645,J0947+6220,J1412+3723 and J1736+*** previously.known La GRLs,we confirm the correlation between radio power P_(1.4GHz.and stellar mass M_(*)of host ***(25/35)La GRLs belong to the blue cloud galaxies,while the newly.identified cases in this work are located within the region of the red *** find a clear correlation between the differential radio power,i.e.,the offset from the P_(1.4GHz.-M_(*)relation,and the galaxy.color,indicating that bluer galaxies at a fixed M_(*)tend to host more powerful radio ***,the majority.31/36)of La GRLs are either located in a galaxy.group or display.ng a disturbed *** suggest that all of the galaxy.mass,color and surrounding environment could play.important roles in triggering radio lobes in late-ty.e galaxies.

This study.aims to predict the undrained shear strength of remolded soil samples using non-linear regression analy.es,fuz.y.logic,and artificial neural network modeling.A total of 1306 undrained shear strength results from 230 different remolded soil test settings reported in 21 publications were collected,utiliz.ng six different measurement *** water content,plastic limit,and liquid limit were used as input parameters for fuz.y.logic and artificial neural network modeling,liquidity.index or water content ratio was considered as an input parameter for non-linear regression *** non-linear regression analy.es,12 different regression equations were derived for the prediction of undrained shear strength of remolded ***-Forward backpropagation and the TANSIG transfer function were used for artificial neural network modeling,while the Mamdani inference sy.tem was preferred with trapez.idal and triangular membership functions for fuz.y.logic *** experimental results of 914 tests were used for training of the artificial neural network models,196 for validation and 196 for *** was observed that the accuracy.of the artificial neural network and fuz.y.logic modeling was higher than that of the non-linear regression ***,a simple and reliable regression equation was proposed for assessments of undrained shear strength values with higher coefficients of determination.
