Most human-secreted and membrane-bound proteins have covalently attached oligosaccharide chains or glycans.Glycosylation influences the physical and chemical properties of proteins,as well as their biological functions.Unsurprisingly,alterations in protein glycosylation have been implicated in a growing number of human diseases,and glycans are increasingly being considered as potential therapeutic targets,an essential part of therapeutics,and biomarkers.Although glycosylation pathways are biochemically well-studied,little is known about the networks of genes that guide the cell-and tissue-specific regulation of these biochemical reactions in humans in vivo.The lack of a detailed understanding of the mechanisms regulating glycome variation and linking the glycome to human health and disease is slowing progress in clinical applications of human glycobiology.Two of the tools that can provide much sought-after knowledge of human in vivo glycobiology are human genetics and genomics,which offer a powerful data-driven agnostic approach for dissecting the biology of complex traits.This review summarizes the current state of human populational glycogenomics.In section 1,we provide a brief overview of the N-glycan’s structural organization,and in section 2,we give a description of the major blood plasma glycoproteins.Next,in section 3,we summarize,systemize,and generalize the results from current N-glycosylation genome-wide association studies(GWAss)that provide novel knowledge of the genetic regulation of the populational variation of glycosylation.Until now,such studies have been limited to an analysis of the human blood plasma N-glycome and the N-glycosylation of immunoglobulin G and transferrin.While these three glycomes make up a rather limited set compared with the enormous multitude of glycomes of different tissues and glycoproteins,the study of these three does allow for powerful analysis and generalization.Finally,in section 4,we turn to genes in the established loci,paying particular attention to genes with stron

Protective and water-repellent properties of alkylcarboxylic and alkylphosphonic acid films on technically pure magnesium

The formation of superhydrophobic coatings using low-toxicity corrosion inhibitors is a promising method for corrosion protection of metals and alloys. In this study, the effects of surface roughness and the of the adsorbed substance structure on wettability and corrosion resistance of commercially pure magnesium were investigated. surface roughness was created by three different methods: paper grinding,etching in nitric acid solution and laser treatment. Oleic, stearic and octadecylphosphonic acids were investigated as potential surface modifiers for the formation of corrosion resistant superhydrophobic coatings. It has been shown that the protective and hydrophobic properties of acid films on magnesium, as well as their stability, are determined by both the initial surface morphology and the nature of the inhibitors.Experimentally, the laser treatment was found to be preferable to mechanical and chemical surface preparation and the best hydrophobic agent among the studied acids is phosphonic acid. The most stable films with excellent superhydrophobic and protective properties in atmospheres of high humidity and salt spray clamber are formed in a solution of 0.001 M octadecylphosphonic acid on the surface of magnesium with high roughness. In addition, the effect of vinyltrimethoxysilane on the protective and hydrophobic properties of stearic acid and octadecylphosphonic acid films was investigated. The results of direct corrosion tests and wetting contact angle degradation kinetics studies showed that the protective and hydrophobic properties of stearic acid can be enhanced by its layer-by-layer adsorption with silane.They practically reach the parameters of octadecylphosphonic acid.

Computation of Fisher–Gale Equilibrium by Auction

We study the Fisher model of a competitive market from the algorithmic perspective.For that,the related convex optimization problem due to Gale and Eisenberg(Ann Math stat 30(1):165–168,1959)is used.The latter problem is known to yield a Fisher equilibrium under some structural assumptions on consumers’utilities,e.g.,homogeneity of degree 1,homotheticity.Our goal is to examine applicability of the convex optimization framework by departing from these traditional assumptions.We just assume the concavity of consumers’utility functions.For this case,we suggest a novel concept of Fisher–Gale equilibrium by using consumers’utility prices.The prices of utility transfer the utility of consumption bundle to a common numéraire.We develop a subgradient-type algorithm from Convex Analysis to compute a Fisher–Gale equilibrium via Gale’s approach.In order to decentralize prices,we additionally implement the auction design,i.e.,consumers settle and update their individual prices and producers sell at the highest offer price.Our price adjustment is based on a tatonnement procedure,i.e.,the prices change proportionally to consumers’individual excess supplies.Historical averages of consumption are shown to clear the market of goods.Our algorithm is justified by a global rate of convergence.In the worst case,the number of price updates needed to achieve anε-tolerance is proportional to 1/ε^(2).

surface layer of a loaded solid is an individual structural level of deformation that was shown numerously within concept of physical mesomechanics.This gives rise to advance in its deformation development under loading as well as allows using this phenomenon to sense the strain induced structure changes.It is of specific importance for composite materials since they are highly heterogeneous while estimating their mechanical state is a topical applied problem.Fatigue tests of carbon fiber composite specimens were carried out for cyclic deformation estimation with the use of strain sensors made of thin(80μm)aluminum foil glued to the specimen’s surface.The surface images were captured by DsLR camera mounted onto an optical microscope.strain relief to form during cyclic loading was numerically estimated using different parameters:dispersion,mean square error,universal image quality index,fractal dimension and energy of Fourier spectrum.The results are discussed in view of deformation mismatch in thin foil and bulk specimen and are offered to be applied for the development of structural Health Monitoring(sHM)approach.

World cities in terms of the sustainable development concept

The article considers the issue of the world cities in terms of sustainable development.The population has been increasing in such intensive rates never reached during the middle of the 20th century.The expansion of the cities indicates,on the one hand,the growth of the world’s general socio-economic development,on the other hand,it raises a number of economic,social and environmental problems.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the current state and prospects of the world cities in terms of the sustainable development concept,to identify opportunities,threats,strengths and weaknesses of the world cities,to determine the role of cities in the con-temporary global world and consider further research of the world’s cities.The authors analyzed the world cities rankings and noted that highly developed cities have more chances to quickly implement the sustainable devel-opment concept compared to medium-sized cities due to larger financial resources.The authors built a sWOT analysis of the world cities transformation in terms of the sustainable development concept,identified strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats.According to the results of the sWOT analysis,the authors established that sustainable development of cities requires significant investments,particularly in the social sphere develop-ment,purification,and preservation of urban nature from the anthropogenic impacts.The research result is the systematization of the sustainable development criteria used in compiling the world cities rankings,determining the possibilities of the contemporary cities transition to the sustainable development concept.

A case report about a new frequency-code therapy of type 2 diabetes for 12 days

The mainstay of type 2 diabetes treatment used to be blood glucose control in order to prevent or delay the development of various diabetic complications. On september 1, 2018, one of our patients was diagnosed with several serious illnesses: type 2 diabetes, 3 degrees of obesity, arterial hypertension, peripheral vascular atherosclerosis of the lower extremities with swelling of the shins and feet, fatty hepatosis and metabolic syndrome since June 2019. The patient was restricted in movement due to excessive body weight, shortness of breath and joint pain. Conventional medical methods did not work well for him, so the prognosis is very poor. In this case, we used a new frequency-code therapy which could transmit the signal into the patient's brain by the method of frequency code influence to cure diabetes and associated diseases, restore the patient's body and improve his living quality. According to our forecasts in september 2018 the treatment of acquired diseases and the restoration of the patient's body to a viable level, with the help of our technology, may take more a year. Carrying out step-by-step noninvasive treatment by the method of frequency-code influence on the patient's brain we received positive results at each stage of treatment which together gave a complex positive result in ridding the patient of acquired diseases and restoring his body to the level of active life-activity without restrictions. Now the patient does not follow a diet and enjoys physical activity. No side effects were observed. The human body is unique, even in adulthood, the protective functions of the body are able to defeat the most complex diseases without damage to the body. To do this need to activate the "sleeping protective mechanism" of the body or translate the "healthy memory of the brain" in the period of active resistance to premature age-related diseases.

以碳纳米球为模板,采用硬模板法制得多孔Co_3O_4中空纳米球。分别采用sEM、XRD、FTIR、BET和XPs对Co_3O_4纳米球的形貌和结构进行表征。通过改变前驱体浓度和陈化反应时间调控Co_3O_4中空纳米球的空间结构及气敏性能。结果表明:在前驱体浓度为0.1mol/L、陈化时间为48h时,得到的Co_3O_4中空纳米球的表面呈疏松多孔结构。Co_3O_4中空纳米球直径约为500nm,由40nm的Co_3O_4纳米粒子组成。室温下,由该材料组装的气敏传感器对浓度为100×10^(-6)～0.5×10^(-6)的NH_3有较好的气敏性能;对浓度为100×10^(-6)的NH_3响应灵敏度高达155.8%,响应时间为1.3s。该气体传感器对NH_3的最低检测限为0.5×10^(-6)。

This study aims to investigate the scope of methods for the reconstruction of time-delay systems.We consider an approach to the reconstruction of time-delay systems based on the synchronous response of the driven system with the structure similar to the structure of the studied object.This approach is used for the recovery of the parameters of timedelay systems from short and noisy time series.To show the operational performance and capabilities of this approach,the parameters were reconstructed for a radiophysical chaotic generator with quadratic nonlinearity and for the model of a system for the baroreflectory regulation of the mean arterial pressure.

The paper is focused on different kinds of gravity results obtained in shults Cape Observatory for 2010 -2015. Gravity observation is interpreted together with GPs observation data which was obtained from 2012 to 2015 at the same station, The station is situated on Gamov peninsular （42.58° N, 131.15° E, Russia） at the coast of Japan sea, This region constitutes the eastern boundary of Eurasia. This major continental tectonic feature is associated with a seismic activity, high heat flow and anomalous thickness of earth＇s crust. The goal of the observation was the investigation of gravity variation with time and seismicity situation monitoring. Gravity observation was developed at special basement by absolute gravimeter （GABL type） and by spring gravimeter （sCINREX CG-5and gPhone type）. Tidal models were tested by results of observation with spring gravimeters. Reduction task was solved, as the experimental data received from different points of shults Cape Observatory was used. Applied reduction coefficient is 203.3 12Gal m l, and agrees with theoretical calculation. Next goal was studying structure of earth＇s crust by means of gravity models. Gravity anomaly varied from 30 mGal to 46 mGal, which also depend on difference reference system, Experimental results were used for testing of the structure of continental boundary, which also depends on the sea bottom flexion. Thickness of elastic layer was estimated from 12 km to 18 km by using different models.
