Improved uncertainty propagation method of dynamic model for Mars entry spacecraft

In order to research the uncertainty propagation laws of Mars entry dynamic equations for the Mars entry phase,an improved method was presented for analyzing the effect of the initial state uncertainties and uncertainty factor on the system state in the state *** applying the method to the entry phase of one of the NASA Mars exploration missions,the simulation results agreed well with the Monte Carlo method,especially the flight path angle simulation at least reaching 92%.It is found that the improved method can not only predict the uncertainty propagation laws with high accuracy of at least 92%in flight path angle simulation and large application scope from-0.1degree to 0.1degree,compared with local linearization method,but also save several hours relative to Monte Carlo method.

Objective：To review recent research advances on tau,a major player in Alzheimer＇s disease （AD） pathogenesis,a biomarker for AD onset,and potential target for AD *** Sources：This review was based on a comprehensive search using online literature databases,including PubMed,Web of Science,and Google *** Selection：Literature search was based on the following keywords：Alzheimer＇s disease,tau protein,biomarker,cerebrospinal fluid （CSF）,therapeutics,plasma,imaging,propagation,spreading,seeding,prion,conformational templating,and posttranslational *** articles were carefully reviewed,with no exclusions applied to study design and publication ***：Amyloid plaques enriched with extracellular amyloid beta （Aβ） and intracellular neurofibrillary tangles comprised of hyperphosphorylated tau proteins are the two main pathological hallmarks *** the Aβ hypothesis has dominated AD research for many years,clinical Aβ-targeting strategies have consistently failed to effectively treat AD or prevent AD *** research focus in AD has recently shifted to the role oftau in *** addition to phosphorylation,tau is acetylated and proteolytically cleaved,which also contribute to its physiological and pathological *** evidence characterizing pathological tau propagation and spreading provides new avenues for research into the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying AD *** to detect tau at minute levels in CSF and blood have been developed,and improved tracers have facilitated tau imaging in the *** advances have potential to accurately determine tau levels at early diagnostic stages in *** that tau is a potential therapeutic target,anti-tau immunotherapy may potentially be a viable treatment strategy in AD ***：Detecting changes in tau and targeting tau pathology represent a promising lead in the diagnosis and treatment of AD.

The degeneration of cholinergic neurons and cholinergic hypofunction are pathologies associated with Alzheimer＇s disease （AD）. Muscarinic acetylcholine receptors （mAChRs） mediate acetylcholine-induced neurotransmission and five mAChR subtypes （M1-M5） have been identified. Among them, M1 mAChR is widely expressed in the central nervous system and has been implicated in many physiological and pathological brain functions. In addition, M1 mAChR is postulated to be an important therapeutic target for AD and several other neurodegenerative diseases. In this article, we review recent progress in understanding the functional involvement of M1 mAChR in AD pathology and in developing M1 mAChR agonists forAD treatment.

Preferential adsorption control: Ca-based LDO for regenerating used lubricating oil

Different Ca-based layered double oxides（LDO） were applied in the removal of contaminants in used lubricating oil as an alternative decolorant. CaAl-LDO and CaFeAl-LDO achieved much greater decoloration efficiency than the traditional decolorants, where 0.93 and 0.91 of the decoloration efficiency under the optimum conditions were obtained, respectively. The decoloration activity with CaFeAl-LDO > CaAl-LDO >> CaFe-LDO was revealed by both Density Functional Theory（DFT） calculations and experimental analysis. Ca12Al14O33was shown to be the active component for decoloration. Fe3+doped into CaAl-LDO could improve decoloration activity via a changed charge distribution of decolorant. High preferential adsorption activity, which originated from different charge distribution for contaminants instead of the oil components, contributed to outstanding decoloration performance. The activity depended on the adsorption intensity of contaminants, where the most of the active decolorant neither too strongly or weakly bound with the contaminants. The results of this study suggested the Cabased LDOs could be a potentially alternative decolorants for regenerating the used lubricating oil.

Co_(3)O_(4)as an efficient passive NO_(x) adsorber for emission control during cold-start of diesel engines

The Co_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles,dominated by a catalytically active(110)lattice plane,were synthesized as a low-temperature NO_(x) adsorbent to control the cold start emissions from *** nanoparticles boast a substantial quantity of active chemisorbed oxygen and lattice oxygen,which exhibited a NO_(x) uptake capacity commensurate with Pd/SSZ-13 at 100℃.The primary NO_(x) release temperature falls within a temperature range of 200-350℃,making it perfectly suitable for diesel *** characterization results demonstrate that chemisorbed oxygen facilitate nitro/nitrites intermediates formation,contributing to the NO_(x) storage at 100℃,while the nitrites begin to decompose within the 150-200℃***,lattice oxygen likely becomes involved in the activation of nitrites into more stable nitrate within this particular temperature *** concurrent processes of nitrites decomposition and its conversion to nitrates results in a minimal NO_(x) release between the temperatures of 150-200℃.The nitrate formed via lattice oxygen mainly induces the NO_(x) to be released as NO_(2) within a temperature range of 200-350℃,which is advantageous in enhancing the NO_(x) activity of downstream NH_(3)-SCR catalysts,by boosting the fast SCR reaction *** to its low cost,considerable NO_(x) absorption capacity,and optimal release temperature,Co_(3)O_(4)demonstrates potential as an effective material for passive NO_(x) adsorber applications.

Synaptic dysfunction is an important pathological hallmark and cause of Alzheimer's disease(AD).High-frequency stimulation(HFS)-induced long-term potentiation(LTP)has been widely used to study synaptic plasticity,with impaired LTP found to be associated with ***,the exact molecular mechanism underlying synaptic plasticity has yet to be completely *** genes regulating synaptic plasticity are altered in AD and contribute to disease onset also remains ***,we induced LTP in the hippocampal CA1 region of wildtype(WT)and AD model mice by administering HFS to the CA3 region and then studied transcriptome changes in the CA1 *** identified 89 genes that may participate in normal synaptic plasticity by screening HFS-induced differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in mice with normal LTP,and 43 genes that may contribute to synaptic dysfunction in AD by comparing HFS-induced DEGs in mice with normal LTP and AD mice with impaired *** further refined the 43 genes down to 14 by screening for genes with altered expression in pathological-stage AD mice without HFS *** them,we found that the expression of Pygm,which catabolizes glycogen,was also decreased in AD *** further demonstrated that down-regulation of PYGM in neurons impaired synaptic plasticity and cognition in WT mice,while its overexpression attenuated synaptic dysfunction and cognitive deficits in AD ***,we showed that PYGM directly regulated energy generation in *** study not only indicates that PYGM-mediated energy production in neurons plays an important role in synaptic function,but also provides a novel LTP-based strategy to systematically identify genes regulating synaptic plasticity under physiological and pathological conditions.

Left colon carcinoma presented with obstruction is a frequently encountered emergency. The surgical treatment of acutely obstructed left colon carcinoma （OLCC） still remains controversial because of its high associated morbidity and mortality, and the number of different surgical options available. Despite current trends toward emergency colectomy with primary anastomosis or colonic stenting as a bridge to subsequent elective surgery, the left hemicolectomy with temporary terminal colostomy remains a choice. Some of these patients who have received temporary colostomies are candidates for restoration of intestinal continuity when patient＇s medical conditions are optimized. The conventional open approach for the closure of left sided colostomies carries a significant morbidity with leakage rates ranging from 0 to 15% and an operative mortality reported as high as 10%. In fact, some patients with colostomies have significant intra-abdominal adhesions,which may result in difficulties in adequate mobilization of hepatic flexure and transverse colon and flawless anastomotic construction. Here we propose an alternative technique for the management of OLCC： subtotal colectomy with antiperistaltic cecoproctostomy.

Metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1(MALAT1)is a well-established oncogenic long non-coding RNA,the higher expression of which is strongly correlated with cancer events such as tumorigenesis,progression,metastasis,drug resistance,and treatment outcome in solid ***,a series of studies has highlighted its potential role in hematological malignancies in terms of these *** to solid cancers,MALAT1 can regulate various target genes via sponging and epigenetic mechanisms,but the miRNAs sponged by MALAT1 differ from those identified in solid *** this review,we systematically describe the role and underlying mechanisms of MALAT1 in multiple types of hematological malignancies,including regulation of cell proliferation,metastasis,stress response,and ***,MALAT1 expression is related to poor treatment outcome and drug resistance,therefore exhibiting potential prognostic value in multiple myeloma,lymphoma,and ***,we discuss the evaluation of MALAT1 as a novel therapeutic target against cancer in preclinical studies.
