Background Understanding the evolution of circadian rhythm dysfunction and psychopathology in the high-risk population has important implications for the prevention of bipolar ***,some of the previous studies on the emergence of psychopathologies and circadian dysfunction among high-risk populations were inconsistent and *** To examine the prevalence rates of sleep and circadian dysfunctions,mental disorders and their symptoms in the offspring of parents with(O-BD)and without bipolar disorder(O-control).Methods The study included 191 O-BD and 202 O-control subjects aged 6-21 years from the Greater Bay Area,*** diagnoses and symptoms of sleep/circadian rhythm and mental disorders were assessed by the Diagnostic Interview for Sleep Patterns and Disorders,and the Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia for School-Age Children-Present and Lifetime Version,*** estimating equations and shared frailty proportional hazards models of survival analysis were applied to compare the outcomes in the *** Adjusting for age,sex and region of recruitment,there was a significantly higher risk of delayed sleep phase symptoms(9.55%vs 2.58%,adjusted OR:4.04)in O-BD than in O-control.O-BD had a nearly fivefold higher risk of mood disorders(11.70%vs 3.47%,adjusted OR:4.68)and social anxiety(6.28%vs 1.49%,adjusted OR:4.70),a fourfold higher risk of depressive disorders(11.17%vs 3.47%,adjusted OR:3.99)and a threefold higher risk of mood symptoms(20.74%vs 10.40%,adjusted OR:2.59)than *** analysis revealed that O-BD children(aged under 12 years)had a nearly 2-fold higher risk of any mental and behavioural symptoms than O-control,while there was a nearly 4-fold higher risk of delayed sleep phase symptoms,a 7.5-fold higher risk of social anxiety and a 3-fold higher risk of mood symptoms in O-BD adolescents(aged 12 years and over).Conclusions There was an increase in delayed sleep phase symptoms in O-BD

Objectives:This study aimed to explore the moderation of pubertal status on the onset of sex differences in the prevalence of insomnia symptoms and their health ***:Cross-sectional survey Setting:31 primary and secondary schools Participants:A total of 7507 children and adolescents（weighted percentage of female:48.5%） aged between 6-17 *** and Results::Participants with difficulty initiating sleep（DIS）,difficulty maintaining sleep（DMS）,and/or early morning awakening（EMA）times/week in the past month were considered as having insomnia *** severity of insomnia was measured by the Insomnia Severity Index（ISI）.The prevalence of insomnia symptoms increased from 3.4%to 12.2%in girls（3.6-fold） and from 4.3%to 9.1%in boys（2.1-fold） from Tanner stage 1 to *** was a significant interaction between sex and Tanner stage in the prevalence of insomnia（p ＜ 0.001） with an emergence of female preponderance at Tanner stage 4 even after controlling for age,family income,and school start *** sex-Tanner stage interactions were found in DIS,DMS,and ISI total score but not *** symptoms were strongly associated with behavioral problems,poor mental and general health in both *** with insomnia would report more maladaptive lifestyles（smoking,alcohol and energy drinks） while girls with insomnia were more susceptible to emotional and behavioral *** and relevance:Pubertal maturation was associated with a progressive increase in the prevalence of insomnia symptoms with the emergence of female preponderance in both the prevalence and severity of insomnia symptoms at late puberty.

Study Objectives:To determine the mortality and its risk factors in patients with rapid eye movement（REM） sleep behavior disorder（RBD）.Design:Cohort ***:Clinicbased cohort study of RBD,Hong Kong,***:A total of 205 consecutive patients with video-polysomnography confirmed RBD（mean age = 66.4 ±10.0 years,78.5%males）.Interventions:*** and Results:Medical records and death status were systematically reviewed in the computerized records of the health care *** mortality ratio（SMR） was used to calculate the risk ratio of mortality in RBD with reference to the general ***-three patients（21.0%） died over a mean follow-up period of 7.1 ±*** SMR was not increased in the overall sample（SMR（95%CI） = 1.00（0.73-1.33））.However,SMR（95%CI） increased to 1.80（1.21-2.58） and 1.75（1.11-2.63） for RBD patients who eventually developed neurodegenerative diseases and dementia,*** the Cox regression model,mortality risk was significantly associated with age（HR = 1.05;95%CI,1.01-1.10）,living alone（HR =2.04;95%CI,1.39-2.99）,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease（HR = 3.38;95%CI,1.21-9.46）,cancer（HR = 10.09;95%CI,2.65-38.42）,periodic limb movements during sleep（HR = 3.06;95%CI,1.50-6.24）,and development of neurodegenerative diseases（HR = 2.84;95%CI,1.47-5.45） and dementia（HR = 2.66;95%CI,1.39-5.08）.Conclusions:Patients with RBD have a higher mortality rate than the generalpopulation only if they develop neurodegenerative *** risk factors on clinical and sleep aspects are associated with mortality in RBD *** findings underscore the necessity of timely neuroprotective interventions in the early phase of RBD before the development of neurodegenerative diseases.

An Improved Golden Jackal Optimization Algorithm Based on Multi-strategy Mixing for Solving Engineering Optimization Problems

Objective The rapid development and ubiquitous use of mobile phone in modern society have raised concerns about their potential impacts on sleep quantity and quality and mental distress, especially among youth. Several previous studies have focused on the correlations between overuse of mobile phone and various sleep disturbances or mental distress, but the cross-sectional design limited their ability to interpret the causal relationships. This study aimed to determine the longitudinal and bidirectional associations of long-time mobile phone use（LTMPU） with sleep disturbances and mental distress in a prospective cohort of technical college students. Methods A total of 4,733 students（mean age 18.3 ± 1.7 years, 19.1% female） from a technical college in Guangzhou, China were recruited in November 2014 at baseline. Among them, 4,333（91.5%） with valid data were eligible for the follow-up study. Finally, 3,396（78.4%） participants had a valid response at follow-up in July 2015. Data were collected by a set of questionnaires, including a general questionnaire on socio-demographics, lifestyle practice, health conditions, duration of mobile phone use per day, and sleep duration on weekdays and weekends, as well as Insomnia Severity Index（ISI）, Epworth Sleepiness Scale（ESS）, reduced Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire（r MEQ）, Beck Depression Inventory（BDI）, and Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale（SAS）. Specifically, LTMPU was defined as using mobile phone ≥ 4 hours/day, short sleep duration was defined as having a sleep ＜ 7 hours/night, long weekend sleep compensation was defined as having a sleep compensation ＞ 2 hours on weekends, and insomnia symptoms, excessive daytime sleepiness, eveningness chronotype, depressive symptoms and anxiety symptoms were defined as having a score of ISI ≥ 9, ESS ≥ 14, rMEQ ≤ 11, BDI ≥ 10 and SAS ≥ 50, respectively. Background: Suicide has become an increasingly serious public health problem. However, the etiology of suicide is numerous and there is a lack of effective targets for clinical intervention. Previous studies have found a correlation between sleep disturbances and suicide, suggesting that sleep may be a potential target for intervention in suicide. However, the relationship between sleep disorders and suicide has not been validated in large population-based studies. Thus, this study aimed to examine the association between suicide and sleep disturbances among the general ***: A total of 487,891 participants(mean age: 56.55 ± 8.09 years;female: 54.4%) were recruited from the UK Biobank. These participants were recruited between 2006 and 2010 with follow-up until February 2016 in this general population-based prospective study. Suicide was collected through hospital inpatient records or a death caused by ICD-10 codes X60-X84 or the death registry. Sleep disturbances, including sleep duration, chronotype, napping, insomnia, and sleepiness, were assessed at the initial assessments. The chi-square test was used to estimate the relationship between sleep disturbances and ***: During a follow-up period of 7.04 years(SD: 0.88), 219 participants completed suicide. After adjusting for demographics, substance use, medical diseases, mental disorders, and other sleep disturbances, sleep duration(c2=9.02, P=0.011), and napping(c2 =9.58, P=0.048) were significantly associated with ***: Our findings suggest that sleep disturbances, mainly short-and long-sleep duration and napping, may serve as a indicator of suicide among the general population.
