AIM： To investigate the efficacy of combined topical 0.05% cyclosporine A（CsA; Restasis~？, Allergan pharmaceuticals, USA） and 0.1% sodium hyaluronate treatment in dry eyes with meibomian gland dysfunction（MGD）.METhoDS： In a retrospective analysis, 53 patients（106 eyes） with MGD were enrolled and performed lid warm massage for 10 min daily and be instilled preservative free sodium hyaluronate 0.1% eye drops 4 times daily. Patients were divided into subjects treated with topical 0.05% CsA and preservative free sodium hyaluronate vehicle（experimental group, n=74 eyes） and subjects treated with the preservative free sodium hyaluronate vehicle（control group, n=32 eyes）. They were evaluated at baseline and 1, 2, and 3 mo for subjective symptoms and objective signs including tear film break-up time（t BUT）, Schirmer test, corneal staining（CS） score, lid margin telangiectasia（LMT）, meibomian gland secretion（MGS）, and conjunctival injection（CI）.RESULTS： In the short-term treatment, the experimental group showed a statistically significant improvement in the ocular surface disease index（OSDI; P〈0.001）, tBUT（P=0.004）, Schirmer test score（P=0.008） and LMT（P=0.021） by repeated measure ANOVA. Additionally, mean changes from baseline in OSDI（P〈0.001）, tBUT（P=0.001）, Schirmer test score（P=0.029）, CS score（P=0.047）, LMT（P=0.002）, CI（P=0.030） were improved better in the experimental group than in the control group at 3 mo. however, there was no significant difference between the two groups in MGS（P=0.67）.CONCLUSION： In dry eyes with MGD, 0.05% CsA improves the tear film stability as well as subjective ocular discomfort, and is effective in controlling lid margin inflammation.

The East Sea(Sea of Japan)is a marginal,semi-closed sea in the northwestern *** Ulleung Basin area,which is located near the subpolar front of the East Sea,is known to have high primary production and good fisheries in spring *** episodic wind-driven events during the spring of 2017,horizontal and vertical profiles of physical chemical biological factors were investigated at 29 stations located in the Ulleung Basin *** addition,growth responses of phytoplankton communities to nutrient additions were evaluated by bioassay experiments to understand the fluctuation of phytoplankton *** of strong northwestern wind,phytoplankton biomass was scattered and upwelling phenomenon might be suppressed in this *** phytoplankton abundances in the coastal stations were significantly higher than offshore and island *** contrast,the nutrient and chlorophyll a(Chl a)concentrations and the phytoplankton biomass were quite low in all *** was dominated group(>75.1%for coastal,40.0%for offshore and 43.6%for island stations).In the algal bioassays,the phytoplankton production was stimulated by N *** in vivo Chl a values in the+N and+NP treatments were significantly higher than the values in the control and the+P *** on the field survey,the higher nutrients in coastal waters affected the growth of diatom assemblages,however,little prosperity of phytoplankton was observed in the offshore waters despite the injection of sufficient nutrients in bioassay *** growth of phytoplankton depended on the initial cell *** of results indicated that a dominant northwestern wind led to a limited nutrients condition at euphotic layers,and the low level of biomass supply from the coasts resulted in low primary *** supplying nutrients and introducing phytoplankton through the currents are critical to maintain the high productivity in the Ulleung Basin area of the East Sea.

Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most common cancers worldwide,with 5%-15%of CRC patients eventually developing lung metastasis(LM).Despite doubts about the role of locoregional therapy in the management of systemic disease,many surgeons have performed pulmonary metastasectomy(PM)for CRC in properly selected ***,the use of pulmonary metastasectomy remains controversial due to the lack of randomized controlled *** article reviews the results of surgical treatment of pulmonary metastases for CRC,focusing on(1)current treatment guidelines and surgical techniques of PM in patients with LM from CRC;(2)outcomes of PM and its prognostic factors;and(3)controversial issues in PM,focusing on repeated metastasectomy,bilateral multiple metas-tases,and combined liver and lung metastasectomy.

The use of electrochemical-metallization-based volatile threshold switching selectors in cross-point arrays has been widely explored owing to their high on-off ratios and simple ***,these devices are unsuitable for cross-point architectures because of the difficulty in controlling the random filament formation that results in large fluctuations in the threshold voltage during *** this study,we investigated the unidirectional threshold transition characteristics associated with an Ag/GST/HfO_(x)/Pt-based bilayer selector and demonstrated the occurrence of a low leakage current(hold voltage(Δ0.11 V).The bilayer structure could control the filament formation in the intermediate state through the insertion of an HfO_(x) tunneling *** stacking a bilayer selector with NiO_(x)based resistive random-access memory,the leakage and programming currents of the device could be significantly *** the crossbar array configuration,we performed equivalent circuit analysis of a one-selector oneresistor(1S1R) devices and estimated the optimal array size to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed *** maximum acceptable crossbar array size of the 1S1R device with the Ag/GST/HfO_(x)/Pt/Ti/NiO_(x)/Pt structure was 5.29×10^(14)(N^(2),N=2.3×10^(7)).

RabGTPase is a member of the Ras superfamily of small GTPases, which share a GTP-binding pocket containing highly conserved motifs that promote GTP hydrolysis. In Arabidopsis, the RabA group, which corresponds to the Rab_(11) group in animals, functions in the recycling of endosomes that control docking and fusion during vesicle transport. however, their molecular mechanisms remain unknown. In this study, we determined the crystal structures of the GDP-bound inactive form and both GppNHp-and GTP-bound active forms of RabA1a, at resolutions of 2.8, 2.6, and 2.6 A?,respectively. A bound sulfate ion in the active site of the GDP-bound structure stabilized Switch Ⅱ by bridging the interaction between a magnesium ion and *** of the two states of RabA1a with Rab_(11) proteins revealed clear differences in the Switch Ⅰ and Ⅱ loops. These results suggested that conformational change of the Switch regions of RabA1a, derived by GTP or GDP binding, could maintain subcellular membrane traffic through the specific interaction of effector molecules.

The increasing importance of energy efficiency has led to several studies related to the construction of a reliable low voltage DC(LVDC) distribution ***, studies on a protection scheme that considers the fault characteristics of an LVDC distribution system are essential to improve system reliability. When compared to a conventional distribution system, the most distinct feature of an LVDC distribution system is the existence of a capacitive discharge current from converters under a fault condition that results in the prompt operation of protection devices. Therefore, this study involves proposing a precise and rapid technique to identify the fault section in an LVDC distribution system. The technique involves two stages, namely: an analysis stage to analyze the capacitive discharge current and a decision stage to identify the fault section based on the fault type. A detailed discussion of each step is presented and its feasibility is verified based on the results of simulations with an ElectroMagnetic Transients Program and MATLAB~?.

AIM: To investigate whether the response of a central hexagonal element corresponding to the macular area in conventional multifocal electroretinography(mfERG) tests was the same as that of experimental mfERG using single central hexagonal element stimulation. METhoDS: Prospective, observational study. Thirty healthy subjects were included in this study. mfERG recordings were performed according to two protocols: stimulus with 37 hexagonal elements(protocol 1), and stimulus with a single central element created by deactivating the other 36 hexagonal elements(protocol 2). We compared differences between ring 1 parameters in each protocol. RESULTS: In protocol 1, the first positive component(P1) implicit time and P1 amplitude were 37.8±1.8 ms and 6.3±2.7 μV. After single element stimulation(protocol 2), double positive waves appeared. The implicit time and amplitude of P1 were 40.7±2.4 ms(Phose of multiple element stimulation. The positive wave is more enhanced compared to that of the conventional protocol and it elongated into two wavelets.
