Enrichment by air classification of indium components from In-containing scrap powders scraped by sand-blasting chamber shields of sputter coaters

Raw scrap powders containing 10 wt.% In were recovered by sand-blasting chamber shields of sputter coaters and used as a sole source of indium components for both sieving and air-classification. Sieving was performed first as a feasibility test, and enrichment of indium component was possible up to 19 wt.% with a mesh size of 635. With this experimental basis, the raw scrap powders were air-classified into 12 lots according to the revolution per minute （r/min） of a single horizontally arranged classifying wheel： 4000, 6000, 8000, 10000, 12000, and 14000 r/rain. The particle cut size varied from 56 to 5 μm with turbo wheel speeds corresponding to 4000 to 14000 r/min, respectively, and enrichment of indium component was possible in fine overflow fractions at all turbo wheel speeds while the indium components were not concentrated in all of the coarse underflow fractions. The grade of the indium components became higher with decreasing particle size of the air-classified scrap powders, with the highest grade obtained in the fine overflow fraction with a turbo wheel speed of 14000 r/min. The amount of indium in the fine overflow fractions varied between 15.9 wt.% and 31.5 wt.%. All in all, the grade or purity of the indium component improved rather significantly from 15.9 wt.% to 31.5 wt.% by air-classification, but this also resulted in overall decrease in recovery rate from 99.33% to 49.64%. Therefore, enrichment and separation of indium should be optimized for maximum recovery and grade of the indium components, which can be used as raw materials in the subsequent electro-refining processes.

Proper stimulation to affected cerebral hemisphere would promote the functional recovery of patients with stroke. Effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on cortical excitability can be can be altered by the stimulation frequency, intensity and duration. There has been no consistent recognition regarding the best stimulation frequency and intensity. This study reviews the intervention effects of repetitive transcranial stimulation on motor impairment, dysphagia, visuospatial neglect and aphasia, and summarizes the stimulation frequency, intensity and area for repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation to yield the best therapeutic effects.

Changes on optical coherence tomography angiography and fluorescein angiography in eyes with neovascular age-related macular degeneration

AIM:lo evaluate the changes on optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA) and fluorescein angiography(FA) and their correlation in neovascular agerelated macular degeneration(nAMD) before and after intravitreal aflibercept injections(IAIs).METHODS:In 43 treatment-na?ve patients with nAMD,choroidal neovascularization(CNV) in OCTA were morphologically and quantitatively analyzed before and after IAIs to determine whether they are correlated with leakage on FA or *** combining CNV in OCTA and leakage in FA,lesions were characterized as three types:L+C+(with both CNV and leakage),L-C+(with CNV but without leakage),or L+C-lesion(with leakage outside CNV).RESULTS:Before IAI,while 27 eyes had L+C+lesion only,16 eyes had both L+C+and L-C+lesions *** capillaries and anastomosis in CNV were more developed in L+C+lesion,at 86.0% and58.1%,respectively,relative to 9.3% and 9.3% in L-C+lesions(P<0.001).After IAIs in 33 eyes,tiny capillaries and anastomosis were decreased in the lesions with cessation of leakage on FA(P<0.001 and P=0.001,respectively).In quantitative analysis,neovascularization length and numbers of junctions and endpoints were also significantly ***:Leakage on FA is associated with CNV morphology in OCTA and remained so after ***,by carefully assessing the morphological and quantitative changes of CNV in OCTA before and after treatment,activity of nAMD is expected even though CNV on OCTA is not completely matched with fluorescein leakage.

Follow-up strategy for early detection of delayed pseudoaneurysms in patients with blunt traumatic spleen injury: A single-center retrospective study

Integration of Machining and Measuring Processes Using On-Machine Measurement Technology

This paper presents an integration methodology for ma chining and measuring processes using OMM (On-Machine Measurement) technology b ased on CAD/CAM/CAI integration concept. OMM uses a CNC machining center as a me asuring station by changing the tools into measuring probes such as touch-type, laser and vision. Although the measurement accuracy is not good compared to tha t of the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), there are distinctive advantages us ing OMM in real situation. In this paper, two topics are handled to show the eff ectiveness of the machining and measuring process integration: (1) inspection pl anning strategy for sculptured surface machining and (2) tool path compensation for profile milling process. For the first topic, as a first step, effective mea suring point locations are determined to obtain optimum results for given sampli ng numbers. Two measuring point selection methods are suggested based on the CAD /CAM/CAI integration concept: (1) by the prediction of cutting errors and (2) by considering cutter contact points to avoid the measurement errors caused by cus ps. As a next step, the TSP (Traveling Salesman Problem) algorithm is applied to minimize the probe moving distance. Appropriate simulations and experiments are performed to verify the proposed inspection planning strategy, and the results are analyzed. For the second topic, a methodology for profile milling error comp ensation is presented by using an ANN (Artificial Neural Network) model trained by the inspection database of OMM system. First, geometric and thermal errors of the machining center are compensated using a closed-loop configuration for the improvement of machining and inspection accuracy.
