To achieve carbon neutrality,the Chinese government needs to gain a comprehensive understanding of the sources and drivers of greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions,particularly at the county *** County in eastern China is a typical example of an industrial transformation from quarrying to a low-carbon *** study analyzed the decoupling types and structural characteristics of GHG emissions and the driving factors of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions in the Anji from 2006 to 2019,and explored the differences between countylevel and provincial-level or city-level *** was observed that energy-related activities are the main source of GHG emissions in Anji and that economic development is the driving factor behind the increasing CO_(2)***,industrial transformation and upgradation coupled with the alternative use of clean energy limit the growth of GHG *** study details the GHG emissions of county during the industrial transformation stage and provides corresponding policy recommendations for county governments.

Inspired by macroscale 3D pixel mechanical metamaterials and microscale straw-like carbon nanotube,we propose a design of multi-stable straw-like carbon nanotubes(MSCNT)via optimizing the structure of a unit to obtain multiple stable states under dis-placement loading by molecular *** unit of MSCNT is mirror-symmetrically connected two truncated graphene cones with specific apex *** switching the LJ term in AIREBO potential,we verify that the bistability of unit is co-determined by snap-through instability and microscale ***,we examine the validity of the multi-stability of the unit cells arranged in series and in *** results indicate that the MSCNT can achieve mechanical programmability in microscale,which triggers many potential applications in need of customizing nanos-cale mechanical behaviors.

Geophysical fluid dynamics(GFD)is an interdisciplinary field that studies the large-scale motion of fluids in the natural *** a wide range of applications such as weather forecasts and climate prediction,GFD employs various research approaches including in-situ observations,satellite measurements,numerical simulations,theoretical analysis,artificial intelligence,and physical model experiments in *** these approaches,rotating tank experiments provide a valuable tool for simulating naturally-occurring fluid motions in *** proportional scaling and proper techniques,scientists can reproduce multi-scale physical processes of stratified fluids in the rotation system,which allows for the simulation of essential characteristics of fluid motions in the atmosphere and *** this review,rotating tanks of various scales in the world are introduced,as these tanks have been actively used to explore fundamental scientific questions in ocean and atmosphere *** illustrate the GFD experiments,three representative cases are presented to demonstrate the frontier achievements in the the GFD study by using rotating tank experiments:mesoscale eddies in the ocean,convection processes,and plume *** references for the experimental procedures are *** studies are encouraged to further explore the utilization of rotating tanks with improvements in experimental design and integration of other research *** is a promising direction of GFD to help enhance our understanding of the complex nature of fluid motions in the natural world and to address the challenges posed by global environmental changes.

Displacement control algorithms commonly used to evaluate axial force-bending moment(PM)diagrams may lead to incorrect interpretations of the strength envelopes for asymmetric *** paper aims to offer valuable insights by comparing existing displacement control algorithms with a newly proposed force control *** main focus is on the PM diagrams of three example sections that exhibit varying degrees of *** comparative study indicates that conventional displacement control algorithms inevitably introduce non-zero out-of-plane bending *** reported PM diagram in such cases erroneously neglects the out-of-plane moment and fails to represent the strength envelope *** oversight results in significant and unconservative errors when verifying the strength of asymmetric sections.

Mucin 2 (MUC2) is a critical component of the intestinal mucus barrier. Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) strains can improve mucosal homeostasis. In this study， we determined the expression of Muc2 induced by dead bacteria and cell-free conditioned medium (CM) of 50 LAB strains in the human goblet cell line， LS174T. Dead bacteria or CM of LAB affected the Muc2 expression in a species- and strain-specific manner under homeostasis. Next， LAB strains with different regulatory abilities were selected， gavaged into mice， and exposed to dextran sodium sulfate (DSS) after 1 week. Different LAB strains inhibited intestinal injury to different degrees， with Lactobacillus acidophilus FCQHC4L1 exerting the most potent effect. FCQHC4L1 significantly decreased the secretion of pro-inflammatory factors， promoted the expression and secretion of mucin， and inhibited colitis development. This strain also regulated the gut microbiota and increased the secretion of butyric acid. Moreover， CM of FCQHC4L1 inhibited endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and ameliorated the abnormal expression of MUC2 by suppressing the activation of the GRP78/ATF6 and GRP78/IRE1/XBP1 signaling pathways. Our results highlight the potential of FCQHC4L1 as a therapeutic agent for strengthening the mucus barrier and improving the gut health.

Bi(Te,Se)-based compounds have attracted lots of attention for nearly two centuries as one of the most successful commercial thermoelectric(TE)materials due to their high performance at near room *** with 3D bulks,2D thin films are more compatible with modern semiconductor technology and have unique advantages in the construction of micro-and *** device applications,high average TE performance over the entire operating temperature range is ***,highly c-axis-oriented N-type Bi(Te,Se)epitaxial thin films have been successfully prepared using the pulsed laser deposition technology by adjusting the deposition *** film deposited at~260℃demonstrate a remarkable average power factor(PFave)of~24.4 mW·cm^(-1)·K^(-2)over the tem-perature range of 305e470 K,higher than most of the state-of-the-art Bi(Te,Se)-based ***,the estimated average zT value of the film is as high as~*** then constructed thin-film TE devices by using the above oriented Bi(Te,Se)films,and the maximum output power density of the device can reach up to~30.1 W/m^(2)under the temperature difference of 40 ***,the outstanding average TE performance of the highly oriented Bi(Te,Se)thin films will have an excellent panorama of applications in semiconductor cooling and power generation.
