Differences in dinucleotide frequencies of thermophilic genes encoding water soluble and membrane proteins

The occurrence frequencies of the dinucleotides of genes of three thermophilic and three mesophilic species from both archaea and eubacteria were investigated in this study. The genes encoding water soluble proteins were rich in the dinucleotides of purine dimers, whereas the genes encoding membrane proteins were rich in pyrimidine dimers. The dinucleotides of purine dimers are the counterparts of pyrimidine dimers in a double-stranded DNA. The purine/pyrimidine dimers were favored in the thermophiles but not in the mesophiles, based on comparisons of observed and expected frequencies. This finding is in agreement with our previous study which showed that purine/pyrimidine dimers are positive factors that increase the thermal stability of DNA. The dinucleotides AA, AG, and GA are components of the codons of charged residues of Glu, Asp, Lys, and Arg, and the dinucleotides TT, CT, and TC are components of the codons of hydrophobic residues of Leu, Ile, and Phe. This is consistent with the suitabilities of the different amino acid residues for water soluble and membrane proteins. Our analysis provides a picture of how thermophilic species produce water soluble and membrane proteins with distinctive characters: the genes encoding water soluble proteins use DNA sequences rich in purine dimers, and the genes encoding membrane proteins use DNA sequences rich in pyrimidine dimers on the opposite strand.

This review aims to offer a vision of the clinical reality of cell therapy today in intensive *** this,it has been carried out a description of the properties,functions,and Mesenchymal Stem Cells(MSCS)sources to subsequently address the evidence in preclinical models and studies clinical trials with whole cells and models attributed to small extracellular vesicles(sEVs),nanoparticles made up of microvesicles secreted by cells with an effect on the extracellular matrix,and their impact as an alternative towards cell-free regenerative *** are cells that enhance the regenerative capacity which can be differentiated typically in different lineages committed as bone,cartilage,and adipose *** the other hand,small extracellular vesicles are structures that participate notoriously and crucially in intercellular communication,which has led to a change in the concept of the functions and the role that these vesicles play in living organisms,in the restoration of damaged tissues and the inflammatory response and *** present the mechanisms that are involved in the applications of MSCS as whole cells and their sEVs in cell therapy and cell-free therapy as an alternative in regenerative *** the structural loss that occurs after surgical procedures for cystic and tumoral pathology in periodontitis,as well as the maxillary atrophy that determines the rehabilitation with dental implants,it is imperative to find satisfactory *** opportunity provided by the findings in stem cells is a recent introduction in the field of oral surgery,based on the regenerative potential that these cells possess to restore defects at different levels of the oral *** review aims to discover the real applications that stem cells may have in our treatments shortly.

This study was derived from field investigations to assess bisphenol A（BPA）concentrations in the sea and river sediments of the Gulf of *** carbon（BC）and total organic carbon（TOC）were identified as influencing factors on the *** a result of the transportation of BC with organic matter via rivers into the Gulf of Gdansk,the highest mean concentrations（11.26 ng BPA/（g dry weight（dw）））,were determined in the sediments of river *** in coastal stations were characterized by the lowest mean concentrations（5.73 ng BPA/（g dw））.TOC content below 0.1% determined the sorption of BPA on BC particles in sediments,and statistically significant correlation between the concentration of BPA and the BC/TOC ratio was found in these *** addition,dependency between the concentration of BPA and the content of BC was discovered in sediments where the BC/TOC ratio was 〉 0.33.

Pedogenesis along chronosequences has received attention from soil scientists for decades,following the pioneering work of Walker and Syers(1976),who showed a general pattern of the availability of nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)subsequently confirmed for a range of chronosequences(Huggett 1998;Turner and Condron 2013;Vitousek and Farrington 1997).Much more recently,changes of plant nutrient-acquisition strategies with soil development have drawn attention,first with a conceptual model(Lambers et al.2008),which was subsequently confirmed with solid experimental data collected along the Jurien Bay chronosequence in south-western Australia(Zemunik et al.2015).The original conceptual model has since been amended,to explain why presumably less-effective mycorrhizal P-acquisition strategies coexist with more-effective strategies based on the release carboxylates(organic anions)(Lambers et al.2018).Mycorrhizas may not be effective at acquiring P from severely P-impoverished soils,but they do boost the defence against pathogens,which strongly affect the growth of non-mycorrhizal carboxylate-releasing Proteaceae(Albornoz et al.2017;Lalibertéet al.2015).What has received little or no attention is the P-acquisition strategies of species that are the first to colonize the bare regolith of the earliest stage of chronosequences(Figs 1 and 2).When the soil P availability is relatively high such as along the Jurien Bay chronosequence(Turner et al.2018),there is little point searching for specialized strategies,but along many chronosequences,*** the case(Egli et al.2012;Richardson et al.2004;Zhou et al.2019).

Identification of sources of lead in the atmosphere by chemical speciation using X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES) spectroscopy

Sources of Pb pollution in the local atmosphere together with Pb species, major ions, and heavy metal concentrations in a size-fractionated aerosol sample from Higashi-Hiroshima （Japan） have been determined by X-ray absorption near-edge structure （XANES） spectroscopy, ion chromatography, and ICP-MS/AES, respectively. About 80% of total Pb was concentrated in fine aerosol particles. Lead species in the coarse aerosol particles were PbC204, 2PbCO3-Pb（OH）2, and Pb（NO3）2, whereas Pb species in the fine aerosol particles were PbC204, PbSO4, and Pb（NO3）2. Chemical speciation and abundance data suggested that the source of Pb in the fine aerosol particles was different from that of the coarse ones. The dominant sources of Pb in the fine aerosol particles were judged to be fly ash from a municipal solid waste incinerator and heavy oil combustion. For the coarse aerosol particles, road dust was considered to be the main Pb source. In addition to Pb species, elemental concentrations in the aerosols were also determined. The results suggested that Pb species in size-fractionated aerosols can be used to identify the origin of aerosol particles in the atmosphere as an alternative to Pb isotope ratio measurement.

Most demographic studies focus on numerical changes that occur within populations across ***,typically studies at an interannual scale do not provide information on the particular times of the year(particular months or seasons)when rates of survival,recruitment,or migration increase or decrease due to physiological,behavioral or ecological *** monthly or seasonal changes in demographic parameters may lead to substantial variations in population *** this study,we collected capture-mark-recapture data on 3 species of lizards of the genus Sceloporus(Sceloporus torquatus,Sceloporus grammicus and Sceloporus megalepidurus)found in ecologically similar habitats to examine potential changes in demographic rates among 3 different climatic seasons:rainy,cold-dry and warm-dry *** tested different hypotheses about the effect of these seasons on survival,recruitment of new adults,and temporary *** found that during the season with severe thermal constraints,the cold-dry season,survival of *** decreased *** also detected a considerable increase in the recruitment rate of *** during the rainy season,when these lizards are establishing territories and finding *** contrast,we found no evidence of intra-annual changes in the rate of temporary *** addition,we calculated abundance and population growth rates for each species and for each *** study represents a significant contribution to the understanding of intra-annual demographic variation in lizards.
