Estimating the Economics of Electrical Energy Storage Based on Different Policies in China

This paper assesses the value of bulk grid-scale energy storage(GES) technologies in six electric power districts of China. The economic feasibility of GES under three different types of compensation mechanisms was analyzed. Based on a careful investigation of China’s existing power system, a unit commitment model that comprehensively reflects the production costs(including reduction of fuel consumption, grid loss, ancillary services and so on) of the entire power grid has been proposed. The benefits of GES can be obtained by comparing the production costs of two different scenarios: with and without GES. Results show that under the current scheduling methods and compensation mechanisms, in most provinces in China, the energy storage’s revenue is lower than the value that it brings.

The absorption heat transformer is widely used to utilize low-temperature waste heat in the field of distributed energy,industrial processing,and long-distance indoor heating,because it can upgrade energy level and deliver heat to heated *** this work,an experimental system of a vertical single-stage LiBr/H2O absorption heat transformer was established to study its performance in the case of producing high-temperature water or low-pressure steam generation under different heating water flow *** useful output heat,coefficient of performance,exergy coefficient of performance,and gross temperature lift of the single-stage heat transformer have all been *** results show that the absorber cannot directly generate low-pressure steam under the condition of counter-flow heat exchange but can obtain more useful output *** largest useful output heat is 20.3 kW,which is higher than that in the case of parallel-flow heat *** generation of low-pressure steam has certain requirements on the mode of heat *** largest internal gross temperature lift of 28.1℃corresponds to the smallest coefficient of performance of 0.22 when the heating water flow rate is 2.1 m3/*** performance of the single-stage absorption heat transformer can be improved to some extent by increasing the heating water flow rate.

Thermo-Economic Modeling and Evaluation of Physical Energy Storage in Power System

This paper presents a variable coefficient nonsingular fast terminal sliding mode（VCNFTSM） control method with the extended state observer（ESO） for a class of second-order uncertain SISO nonlinear systems subject to external ***,a new variable coefficient double exponential reaching law is combined with NFTSM surface function to get finite time fast convergence in both reaching phase and sliding ***,the system uncertainty and external distractions are estimated and compensated effectively by introducing the ***,it is proved theoretically that the controller based on ESO can make the nonlinear system states converge to a small neighborhood around the equilibrium in finite ***,simulation results show that the proposed control algorithm can not only shorten the system reaching time and improve the system control precision but also reduce system chattering effectively.

In order to assess the electrical energy storage technologies,the thermo-economy for both capacity-type and power-type energy storage are comprehensively investigated with consideration of political,environmental and social *** for the first time,the Exergy Economy Benefit Ratio(EEBR)is proposed with thermo-economic model and applied to three different storage systems in various scenarios,including pumped storage,compressed air energy storage and flywheel energy *** impact of the total system efficiency,annual utilization hour,life time,and other key factors are also *** results show that the EEBRs of pumped storage and compressed air energy storage under peak load shaving condition and flywheel energy storage under frequency modulation service condition are all larger than zero,which means they are all thermo-economically *** extra consideration of political,environmental and social impact,the exergy cost could reduce by about 25%and the EEBR *** sensitivity analysis indicates the similarity and diversity of influence to EEBR between capacity-type and power-type energy storage *** former is that energy efficiency is the dominated factor for all three storage *** latter is that the difference of exergy benefit mode causes variety in other major *** energy-type storage system,like pumped storage and compressed air storage,the peak-to-valley price ratio is very sensitive in energy *** power-type storage system,like flywheel storage,the mileage ratio is in leading position in auxiliary service benefit by *** the three cases studied,the pumped storage has the best thermo-economy;the compressed air energy storage is the second,and the flywheel energy storage is the *** main reason is that the pumped storage has the least non-exergy cost,and flywheel has the most.

Above ground gas storage devices for compressed air energy storage(CAES) have three types:air storage tanks,gas cylinders,and gas storage pipelines.A cost model of these gas storage devices is established on the basis of whole life cycle cost(LCC) *** optimum parameters of the three types are determined by calculating the theoretical metallic raw material consumption of these three devices and considering the difficulties in manufacture and the influence of gas storage device *** LCCs of the three types are comprehensively analyzed and *** result reveal that the cost of the gas storage pipeline type is lower than that of the other two *** study may serve as a reference for designing large-scale CAES systems.

本文以向心涡轮盘腔作为研究对象,基于向心涡轮旋转盘腔实验台,对旋转诱导下向心涡轮盘腔封严特性进行实验研究,获得了不同封严流量及旋转雷诺数下盘腔内部的静压以及封严效率的分布,并开展非定常仿真数值验证。实验结果表明:向心涡轮盘腔低半径处静压对于封严流量变化相对于高半径处更为敏感,同时高低半径处静压随着旋转雷诺数的变化产生相反的变化趋势;封严效率随封严流量增加而提高,同时随着旋转雷诺数增加而降低,孔板模型(Orifice Model)适用于向心涡轮盘腔,封严预测最大误差为2.1%。非定常仿真获得的封严效率与实验结果吻合良好,盘腔轮缘处同一位置不同时刻均存在主流入侵以及封严流出流交替现象,对盘腔内封严效率的径向以及周向分布均造成周期性脉动。

Urban waterfronts are important gateways that reflect a city’s image and *** waterfront vitality and its influencing factors is critical for guiding urban waterfront planning and *** human movement data,provided by the Baidu Heatmap,were used to explore the weekday and weekend urban vitality spatial distribution characteristics of the waterfronts of the Qinhuai River in ***(ordinary least squares)and local(multiscale geographically weighted regression)models revealed the influence of physicaleenvironmental characteristics(objective)and spatial experience evaluation factors(subjective)on urban vitality.(1)The Qinhuai River waterfront urban vitality agglomeration characteristics were similar between weekdays and weekends,and the core vitality areas were distributed in the dense tourism,commercial,and residential areas along the river.(2)The evaluation of catering experience had the strongest positive correlation with vitality,whereas the waterfront distance had the strongest negative correlation.(3)The influence of each factor on waterfront vitality in the study area exhibited considerable spatial differences,with attenuation trends observed from the east-to-west river *** study shows the urban vitality distribution characteristics of the Qinhuai River waterfront *** the influence of physicaleenvironmental and spatial evaluation factors on the vitality distribution can provide a scientific basis and reference for urban waterfront planning and redevelopment focusing on cultivating vitality.

In order to effectively recover low and medium grade heat energy,a novel combined cooling and heating storage system based on zeolite-water is proposed in this *** system coupled the zeolite-water adsorption process with the water evaporation refrigeration process during discharging process to realize generating cold energy and heat energy simultaneously.A more accurate kinetic model of zeolite and water adsorption is developed,and the thermodynamic performance of discharging process of the system is numerically *** results show the system has the higher energy conversion coefficient of 1.49 and the higher energy density of 1216.6 kJ/*** change laws of system performances,such as energy generated,energy conversion coefficient and energy density,with key parameters during discharging process are *** study provides a way for efficient utilization of low and medium grade heat energy.
