Auxin regulates flower and fruit abscission,but how developmental signals mediate auxin transport in abscission remains ***,we reveal the role of the transcription factor BEL1-LIKE HOMEODOMAIN11(SlBEL11)in regulating auxin transport during abscission in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum).SlBEL11 is highly expressed in the fruit abscission zone,and its expression increases during fruit *** of SlBEL11 expression by RNA interference(RNAi)caused premature fruit drop at the breaker(Br)and 3d post-breaker(Br+3)stages of fruit *** and metabolome analysis of SlBEL11-RNAi lines revealed impaired flavonoid biosynthesis and decreased levels of most flavonoids,especially quercetin,which functions as an auxin transport *** suggested that SlBEL11 prevents premature fruit abscission by modulating auxin efflux from fruits,which is crucial for the formation of an auxin response ***,quercetin treatment suppressed premature fruit drop in SlBEL11-RNAi *** affinity purification sequencing(DAP-seq)analysis indicated that SlBEL11 induced expression of the transcription factor gene SlMYB111 by directly binding to its *** immunoprecipitation-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and electrophoretic mobility shift assay showed that *** MYELOBLASTOSIS VIRAL ONCOGENE HOMOLOG111(SlMYB111)induces the expression of the core flavonoid biosynthesis genes SlCHS1,SlCHI,SlF3H,and SlFLS by directly binding to their *** findings suggest that the SlBEL11-SlMYB111 module modulates flavonoid biosynthesis to fine-tune auxin efflux from fruits and thus maintain an auxin response gradient in the pedicel,thereby preventing premature fruit drop.

Shexiang Tongxin Dropping Pill Promotes Angiogenesis through VEGF/eNOS Signaling Pathway on Diabetic Coronary Microcirculation Dysfunction

Objective: To study the effect of Shexiang Tongxin Dropping Pill(STDP) on angiogenesis in diabetic cardiomyopathy mice with coronary microcirculation dysfunction(CMD). Methods: According to a random number table, 6 of 36 SPF male C57BL/6 mice were randomly selected as the control group, and the remaining 30 mice were injected with streptozotocin intraperitoneally to replicate the type 1 diabetes model. Mice successfully copied the diabetes model were randomly divided into the model group, STDP low-dose group [15 mg/(kg·d)], medium-dose group [30 mg/(kg·d)], high-dose group [60 mg/(kg·d)], and nicorandil group [15 mg/(kg·d)], 6 in each group. The drug was given by continuous gavage for 12 weeks. The cardiac function of mice in each group was detected at the end of the experiment, and coronary flow reserve(CFR) was detected by chest Doppler technique. Pathological changes of myocardium were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining, collagen fiber deposition was detected by masson staining, the number of myocardial capillaries was detected by platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 staining, and the degree of myocardial hypertrophy was detected by wheat germ agglutinin staining. The expression of the vascular endothlial growth factor(VEGF)/endothelial nitric oxide synthase(eNOS) signaling pathway-related proteins in myocardial tissue was detected by Western blot. Results: Compared with the model group, medium-and high-dose STDP significantly increased the left ventricular ejection fraction and left ventricular fraction shortening(P<0.01), obviously repaired the disordered cardiac muscle structure, reduced myocardial fibrosis, reduced myocardial cell area, increased capillary density, and increased CFR level(all P<0.01). Western blot showed that high-dose STDP could significantly increase the expression of VEGF and promote the phosphorylation of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2, phosphoinositide 3-kinase, protein kinase B, and eNOS(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Plants that grow in extreme environments represent unique sources of stress-resistance genes and *** mongolicus(Leguminosae)is a xerophytic evergreen broadleaf shrub native to semi-arid and desert regions;however,its drought-tolerance mechanisms remain poorly ***,we report the assembly of a reference-grade genome for ***,describe its evolutionary history within the legume family,and examine its drought-tolerance *** assembled genome is 843.07 Mb in length,with 98.7%of the sequences successfully anchored to the nine chromosomes of *** genome is predicted to contain 47611 protein-coding genes,and 70.71%of the genome is composed of repetitive sequences;these are dominated by transposable elements,particularly longterminal-repeat *** analyses revealed two whole-genome duplication(WGD)events at 130 and 58 million years ago(mya)that are shared by the genus Ammopiptanthus and other legumes,but no species-specific WGDs were found within this *** genome reconstruction revealed that the *** genome has undergone fewer rearrangements than other genomes in the legume family,confirming its status as a"relict plant".Transcriptomic analyses demonstrated that genes involved in cuticular wax biosynthesis and transport are highly expressed,both under normal conditions and in response to polyethylene glycol-induced *** induction of genes related to ethylene biosynthesis and signaling was also observed in leaves under dehydration stress,suggesting that enhanced ethylene response and formation of thick waxy cuticles are two major mechanisms of drought tolerance in *** expression of AmERF2,an ethylene response factor unique to ***,can markedly increase the drought tolerance of transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana plants,demonstrating the potential for application of *** genes in crop improvement.

现有的大多数RGB-D显著性目标检测方法利用深度图来提高检测效果,而忽视了其质量的影响。低质量的深度图会对最终显著目标预测结果造成污染,影响显著性检测的性能。为了消除低质量深度图带来的干扰,并准确突出RGB图像中的显著目标,提出了一个用于多模态特征交互的RGB-D显著性目标检测模型。在编码阶段,设计了一个特征交互模块,其包含三个子模块:用于增强特征表述能力的全局特征采集子模块、用于过滤低质量深度信息的深度特征精炼子模块和用于实现特征融合的多模态特征交互子模块。在解码阶段,逐层融合经过特征交互后的多模态特征,实现多层次特征融合。通过在五个基准数据集上与十二种先进方法进行的综合实验表明,该模型在NLPR、SIP和NJU2K数据集上的指标上均优于其他对比方法,其中在NJU2K数据集上,该模型的性能比第二名在平均F值上提升了0.008,加权F值上提升了0.014,E-measure上提升了0.007,表现出了较好的检测效果。

DEAR EDITOR,Big cats,such as Amur tigers(Panthera tigris altaica)and Amur leopards(*** orientalis),are apex predator and have evolved specialized traits for hunting and carnivory(Moya et al.,2022),thus playing a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity and ecosystem integrity by regulating prey-predator ***,human-induced pressures,habitat fragmentation,and environmental alterations have restricted these species in small and isolated ***,all extant big cats are categorized as endangered or threatened according to their conservation *** tigers and Amur leopards share overlapping geographic ranges,habitats,and certain prey species in the forests of Northeast Asia(Jiang et al.,2015).To reduce interspecies conflict,these carnivores exhibit differentiated dietary and temporal *** tigers predominantly prey on large ungulates,while Amur leopards hunt small to medium-sized animals(Sugimoto et al.,2016).Additionally,they occupy different temporal niches,with tigers being active at night and leopards more active during the *** spatial and temporal niche partitioning,interspecific competition between these two species is ***,benefiting from their greater size,have a competitive advantage over leopards,which can manifest in occasional leopard predation by tigers and declines in leopard populations with increasing tiger density(Jiang et al.,2015).Tigers also displace leopards from marginal habitats in nature reserves where they coexist.

Selective pressures have given rise to a number of SARS-CoV-2 variants during the prolonged course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently evolved variants differ from ancestors in additional glycosylation within the spike protein receptor-binding domain(RBD). Details of how the acquisition of glycosylation impacts viral fitness and human adaptation are not clearly understood. Here, we dissected the role of N354-linked glycosylation, acquired by BA.2.86 sub-lineages, as a RBD conformational control element in attenuating viral infectivity. The reduced infectivity is recovered in the presence of heparin sulfate, which targets the‘N354 pocket’ to ease restrictions of conformational transition resulting in a ‘RBD-up’ state, thereby conferring an adjustable infectivity. Furthermore, N354 glycosylation improved spike cleavage and cell–cell fusion, and in particular escaped one subset of ADCC antibodies. Together with reduced immunogenicity in hybrid immunity background, these indicate a single spike amino acid glycosylation event provides selective advantage in humans through multiple mechanisms.
