Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 is a highly contagious positive-sense,single-stranded RNA virus that has rapidly spread *** of December 17,2023,772838745 confirmed cases including 6988679 deaths have been reported *** virus primarily spreads through droplets,airborne transmission,and direct *** harbor a substantial number of confirmed coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients and asymptomatic carriers,accompanied by high population density and a larger susceptible *** factors serve as potential triggers for nosocomial infections,posing a threat during the COVID-19 *** infections occur to varying degrees across different countries worldwide,emphasizing the urgent need for a practical approach to prevent and control the intra-hospital spread of *** study primarily concentrated on a novel strategy combining preventive measures with treatment for combating COVID-19 nosocomial *** suggests preventive methods,such as vaccination,disinfection,and training of heathcare personnel to curb viral ***,it explored therapeutic strategies targeting cellular inflammatory factors and certain new medications for COVID-19 *** methods hold promise in rapidly and effectively preventing and controlling nosocomial infections during the COVID-19 pandemic and provide a reliable reference for adopting preventive measures in the future pandemic.

The diffusion and loss of lithium polysulfides(liPSs)in lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)reduce the sulfur utilization rate and the catalytic conversion efficiency of sulfur species,resulting in early battery ***_(2)ZnTi_(3)O_(8)(LZTO),characterized by its stable spinel structure,exhibits high li+conductivity and holds great potential as an effective adsorbent for *** study proposes a collaborative design concept of LZTO host–separator modifier,which offers a complementary and matching approach in the cathode side,effectively addressing the challenges associated with dissolution and inadequate conversion of *** functional theory(DFT)calculation substantiates the pronounced chemical affinity of LZTO towards *** importantly,the high efficiency ion transport channels are achieved in separator coating due to the presence of the LZTO ***,the catalytic efficacy of LZTO is validated through meticulous analysis of symmetric batteries and Tafel ***,the LZTO host–separator modifier-based cell displays satisfactory rate capability(1449 and 1166 mAh·g^(−1)at 0.1 and 0.5 C)and an impressively capacity(606 mAh·g^(−1)after 500 cycles at 1 C).The coordinated strategy of host–separator modifier is supposed to have wide applications in LSBs.

Barium titanate (BaTiO3) powders with particle sizes of 30 similar to 50 nm were prepared from barium stearate, titanium alkoxides and stearic acid by stearic acid-gel method. Dispersing the agglomerate of BaTiO3 nanoparticles into poly(amic acid) solution followed by curing led to the formation of polyimide hybrid films. The hybrid films were transparent and well distributed with BaTiO3 nanoparticles when the BaTiO3 content was less than 1 wt%. Highly loaded hybrid film containing 30 wit % BaTiO3 was tough, had a smooth surface and possessed much higher dielectric and piezoelectric constants than the parent polyimide.

The printed circuit heat exchanger(PCHE) is receiving wide attention as a new kind of compact heat exchanger and is considered as a promising vaporizer in the LNG process. In this paper, a PCHE straight channel in the length of 500 mm is established, with a semicircular cross section in a diameter of 1.2 *** simulation is employed to investigate the flow and heat transfer performance of supercritical methane in the channel. The pseudo-boiling theory is adopted and the liquid-like, two-phase-like, and vapor-like regimes are divided for supercritical methane to analyze the heat transfer and flow *** results are presented in micro segment to show the local convective heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop. It shows that the convective heat transfer coefficient in segments along the channel has a significant peak feature near the pseudo-critical point and a heat transfer deterioration when the average fluid temperature in the segment is higher than the pseudo-critical point. The reason is explained with the generation of vapor-like film near the channel wall that the peak feature related to a nucleateboiling-like state and heat transfer deterioration related to a film-boiling-like state. The effects of parameters, including mass flow rate, pressure, and wall heat flux on flow and heat transfer were *** calculating of the averaged heat transfer coefficient of the whole channel, the traditional method shows significant deviation and the micro segment weighted average method is adopted. The pressure drop can mainly be affected by the mass flux and pressure and little affected by the wall heat flux. The peak of the convective heat transfer coefficient can only form at high mass flux, low wall heat flux, and near critical pressure, in which condition the nucleate-boiling-like state is easier to appear. Background and Aims:liver ischemia-reperfusion(IR)injury is a common pathological process in liver ***,which is closely related to lipid peroxidation,has recently been confirmed to be involved in the pathogenesis of IR ***,the development of drugs that regulate ferroptosis has been slow,and a complete understanding of the mechanisms underlying ferroptosis has not yet been ***(Fu)is a sulfated polysaccharide that has attracted research interest due to its advantages of easy access and wide biological ***:In this study,we established models of IR injury using erastin as an activator of ferroptosis,with the ferroptosis inhibitor ferrostatin-1(Fer-1)as the *** clarified the molecular mechanism of fucoidan in IR-induced ferroptosis by determining lipid peroxidation levels,mitochondrial morphology,and key pathways in theta were ***:Ferroptosis was closely related to IR-induced hepatocyte *** use of fucoidan or Fer-1 inhibited ferroptosis by eliminating reactive oxygen species and inhibiting lipid peroxidation and iron accumulation,while those effects were reversed after treatment with *** accumulation,mitochondrial membrane rupture,and active oxygen generation related to ferroptosis also inhibited the entry of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)into the nucleus and reduced downstream heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)and glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)protein ***,fucoidan pretreatment produced adaptive changes that reduced irreversible cell damage induced by IR or ***:Fucoidan inhibited ferroptosis in liver IR injury via the Nrf2/HO-1/GPX4 axis.

The interfacial structure of the α-Mg/14H-LPSO phase in rare earth-including magnesium alloy was investigated via high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy(HAADFSTEM) imaging and first-principles calculations of density-functional *** possible interfacial models were constructed according to the different terminations of the LPSO phase,and the corresponding interfacial energies were calculated,from which the four most stable structures(Terl-MgY-hollow,Ter2-Zn-hollow,Ter3-MgYII-hollow and Ter4-Mg-bridge) were *** interfacial phase diagrams related to the Y chemical potentials were obtained from the calculations,and the most stable interfacial structure was ***-MgY-hollow and Ter2-Zn-hollow have the lowest interfacial energies in the range of-0.7 eV <Δμγ<-0.6 eV,where fluctuating change of state is the minimized and the interface is the most *** separation work of the two models was calculated to predict the bonding strength of the structures at both ends of the *** calculation results show that the maximum interfacial separation work is 1.45 J/m^(2) for the interface model of α-Mg and 14H-LPSO phase structure with Ter2-Zn-hollow termination.

The transient heat transfer behaviours in a packed bed have been studied using coupled computational fluid dynamics(CFD)and discrete element method(DEM).Intra-particle thermal diffusion,which is a crucial but rarely explored issue,is considered by introducing a one-dimensional diffusion equation in the DEM *** achieve a sufficiently long physical time of simulations,we further reduce the computational cost by applying periodic boundary condition to a small segment of the packed *** study demonstrates a shifting peak heat flow rate from the bottom to the top of the packed bed during the initial warming *** affirm that the influence of thermal diffusion within a particle is noteworthy only for particles exhibiting a high Biot number(e.g.,Bi=1.2).This insight enriches our understanding of heat transfer mechanisms in packed beds and their practical engineering applications.

A prescribed performance control scheme based on the three-inflection-point hyperbolic function and predefined time performance function is proposed to solve the trajectory tracking problem of the forward-tilting morphing aerospace vehicle with time-varying actuator *** accurately estimate the loss degree of actuator faults,an immersion and invariance observer based on the predefined time dynamic scale factor is designed to estimate and compensate it.A composite dynamic sliding mode surface is designed using a three-inflection-point hyperbolic function,and a novel three-inflection-point sliding mode control framework is *** convergent domain of the sliding manifold is adjusted by parameters,and the system error convergence is controllable.A transfer function is designed to eliminate the sensitivity of the three-inflection-point hyperbolic sliding mode to the unknown initial state,and combined with the barrier Lyapunov function,and the performance constraint of the system is *** global asymptotic stability of the system is demonstrated using a strict mathematical *** effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control scheme are proven by simulation experiments.
