Enabling superior electrochemical performance of NCA cathode in Li_(5.5)PS_(4.5)Cl_(1.5)-based solid-state batteries with a dual-electrolyte layer

LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_(2)(NCA) is a promising cathode for sulfide-based solid-state lithium batteries(ASSLBs)profiting from its high specific capacity and voltage plateau, which yielding high energy density. However, the inferior interfacial stability between the bare NCA and sulfides limits its electrochemical performance. Hereien, the dual-electrolyte layer is proposed to mitigate this effect and enhance the battery performances of NCA-based ASSLIBs. The Li_(3)InCl_6 wih high conductivity and excellent electrochemcial stability act both as an ion additives to promote Li-ion diffusion across the interface in the cathode and as a buffer layer between the cathode layer and the solid electrolyte layer to avoid side reactions and improve the interface stability. The corresponding battery exhibits high discharge capacities and superior cyclabilities at both room and elevated temperatures. It exhibits discharge performance of 237.04 and216.07 m Ah/g at 0.1 and 0.5 C, respectively, when cycled at 60 ℃, and sustains 95.9% of the capacity after100 cycles at 0.5 C. The work demonstrates a simple strategy to ensure the superior performances of NCA in sulfide-based ASSLBs.

Stacking single layers of atoms on top of each other provides a fundamental way to achieve novel material systems and engineer their physical properties,which offers opportunities for exploring fundamental physics and realizing next-generation optoelectronic *** the two-dimensional(2D)-stacked systems,transition metal dichalcogenide(TMDC)heterostructures are particularly attractive because they host tightly-bonded interlayer excitons which possess various novel and appealing *** interlayer excitons have drawn significant research attention and hold high potential for the application in unique optoelectronic devices,such as polarization-and wavelength-tunable single photon emitters,valley Hall transistors,and possible high-temperature *** development of these devices requires a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental properties of these interlayer excitons and the impact of electric fields on their *** this review,we summarize the recent advances on the understanding of interlayer exciton dynamics under electric fields in TMDC *** put emphasis on the electrical modulation of interlayer excitons’emission,the valley Hall transport of charge carriers after the separation of interlayer excitons by an electric field,and the correlation physics of interlayer excitons and charges under electrical doping and *** and perspectives are finally discussed for the application of TMDC heterostructures in future optoelectronics.

All inorganic metal halide perovskite nanocrystals(NCs)have attracted much attention for their outstanding optoelectronic properties,which can be tuned by the composition,surface,size and morphology in ***,we report the microfluidic synthesis of hollow CsPbBr_(3)perovskite NCs through the nanoscale Kirkendall *** formation mechanism of the hollow structure(Kirkendall void)controlled by the temperature,flow rate,ratios of precursors and ligands was *** with the solid CsPbBr_(3)NCs of the same size,the hollow CsPbBr_(3)NCs exhibit blue shifts in ultraviolet-visible(UV-vis)absorption and photoluminescence(PL)spectra,and remarkably longer PL average lifetime(~98.2 ns).Quantum confinement effect,inner surface induced additional trap states and lattice strain of the hollow CsPbBr_(3)NCs were discussed in understanding their unique optoelectronic *** hollow CsPbBr_(3)NC based photodetector exhibits an outstanding negative photoconductivity(NPC)detectivity of 8.9×10^(12)*** also show potentials in perovskite NC based photovoltaic and light emitting diodes(LEDs).

Enhancing thermoelectric performance of p-type SnTe through manipulating energy band structures and decreasing electronic thermal conductivity

SnTe has received considerable attention as an environmentally friendly alternative to the representative thermoelectric material of ***,excessive hole carrier concentration in SnTe results in an extremely low Seebeck coefficient and high thermal conductivity,which makes it exhibit relatively inferior thermoelectric *** this work,the thermoelectric performance of p-type SnTe is enhanced through regulating its energy band structures and reducing its electronic thermal conductivity by combining Bi doping with CdSe ***,the carrier concentration of SnTe is successfully suppressed via Bi doping,which significantly decreases the electronic thermal ***,the convergence and flattening of the valence bands by alloying CdSe effectively improves the effective mass of SnTe while restraining its carrier ***,a maximum figure of merit(ZT) of~ 0.87 at 823 K and an average ZT of~ 0.51 at 300-823 K have been achieved in Sn_(0.96)Bi_(0.04)Te-5%*** results indicate that decreasing the electronic thermal conductivity is an effective means of improving the performance of thermoelectric materials with a high carrier concentration.

Micro defects formation and dynamic response analysis of steel plate of quasi-cracking area subjected to explosive load

As the protective component,steel plate had attracted extensive attention because of frequently threats of explosive *** this paper,the evolution of microstructure and the mechanism of damage in the quasi-cracking area of steel plate subjected to explosive load were discussed and the relationships between micro defects and dynamic mechanical response were *** the explosion experiment,five observation points were selected equidistant from the quasi-cracking area of the section of the steel plate along the thickness direction,and the characteristics of micro defects at the observation points were analyzed by optical microscope(OM),scanning electron microscope(SEM) and electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD).The observation result shows that many slip bands(SBs) appeared,and the grain orientation changed obviously in the steel plate,the two were the main damage types of micro *** addition,cracks,peeling pits,grooves and other lager micro defects were appeared in the lower area of the *** stress parameters of the observation points were obtained through an effective numerical *** mechanism of damage generation and crack propagation in the quasicracking area were clarified by comparing the specific impulse of each observation point with the corresponding micro *** result shows that the generation and expansion of micro defects are related to the stress area(*** upper compression area,the neutral plane area,and the lower tension area).The micro defects gather and expand at the grain boundary,and will become macroscopic damage under the continuous action of tensile ***,the micro defects at the midpoint of the section of the steel plate in the direction away from the explosion center(*** horizontal direction) were also *** was found that the specific impulse at these positions were much smaller than that in the thickness direction,the micro defects were only SBs and a few micro cracks,and the those decrea

Chemical profiling of principle active and toxic constituents in herbs containing aristolochic acids

Objective:To clear the amounts of the principal active/toxic components in herbs containing aristolochic acids(HCAAs),which are still used as medicine and/or seasoning in many ethnic minority areas of ***:In this study,six major active and toxic components in HCAAs were extracted with ultrasonic *** 6-O-methyl guanosine as internal standard,the target compounds were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by using ultrahigh performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-ESI-MS/MS)with multiple reaction monitoringinformation dependent acquisition-enhanced production ion scanning mode(MRM-IDA-EPI)combined with dynamic background subtraction(DBS)***:The method showed good linearity in the linear range of the six *** limit range of detection was from 0.01 ng/mL to 0.27 ng/*** of the detection repeatability,extraction repeatability and accuracy of the method were *** extraction,the samples remained stable at 15℃ within 24 *** analytes were all found in samples except aristolactam(AL)in sample 2,and the contents varied *** contents of these compounds decreased in fruits,leaves and stems of Aristolochia delavayi ***:This method has the advantages of less sample dosage,simple operation,short analysis cycle,high sensitivity,specificity and *** laid a good foundation for guiding the safety of HCAAs,the indepth study of pharmacological and toxicological effects and the scientific and standardized processing and compatibility of HCAAs.

Highly efficient photo-thermal synergistic catalysis of CO_(2)methanation over La_(1-x)Ce_(x)NiO_(3)perovskite-catalyst

Solar-driven photo-thermal catalytic CO_(2)methanation reaction is a promising technology to alleviate the problems posed by greenhouse gases ***,designing advanced photo-thermal catalysts remains a research challenge for CO_(2)methanation *** this work,a series of ABO3(A=lanthanide,B=transition metal)perovskite catalysts with Ce-substituted LaNiO3(La_(1-x)Ce_(x)NiO_(3),x=0,0.2,0.5,0.8,1)were synthesized for CO_(2)*** La_(0.2)Ce_(0.8)NiO_(3) exhibited the highest CH_(4) formation rate of 258.9 mmol·g^(-1)·hcat-1,CO_(2)conversion of 55.4%and 97.2%CH_(4) selectivity at 300℃with the light intensity of 2.9 W·cm^(-2).Then the catalysts were thoroughly analyzed by physicochemical structure and optical properties *** partial substitution of the A-site provided more active sites for the adsorption and activation of CO_(2)/H_(2).The sources of the active sites were considered to be the oxygen vacancies(O_(v))created by lattice distortions due to different species of ions(La^(3+),Ce^(4+),Ce^(3+))and exsolved Ni0 by H_(2)*** catalysts have excellent light absorption absorbance and low electron-hole(e^(-)/h^(+))recombination rate,which greatly contribute to the excellent performance in photo-thermal synergistic catalysis(PTC)CO_(2)*** results of in situ irradiated electron paramagnetic resonance spectrometer(ISI-EPR)and ISI-X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)indicated that the aggregation of unpaired electrons near the defects and Ni metal(from La and Ce ions to Ov and Ni0)accelerated adsorption and activation of CO_(2)/H_(2).At last,the catalyst properties and structure were correlated with the proposed reaction mechanism from the in situ diffuse reflection infrared Fourier transform spectrum(DRIFTS)*** in situ precipitation of the B-site enhanced the dispersion of Ni,while its enriched photoelectrons upon illumination further promote hydrogen *** H^(*)spillover accelerated t

Geant4 simulation of fast-electron bremsstrahlung imaging at the HL-3 tokamak

To further research on high-parameter plasma,we plan to develop a two-dimensional hard X-ray(HXR)imaging system at the HL-3 tokamak to measure HXRs with energies ranging from 20 to 300 *** application of an array-structured detector ensures that this system can measure HXR-radiation spectra from the entire plasma cross ***,it is suitable for the study of fast-electron physics,such as radio-frequency wave current drives,fast electrons driving instabilities,and plasma disruptions in fusion *** this study,we develop a simulation for calculating fast-electron bremsstrahlung in the HL-3 tokamak based on the Monte Carlo simulation code Geant4,in which the plasma geometry and forward scattering of fast-electron bremsstrahlung are *** preliminary calculation results indicate that the HXR energy deposi-tion on the detector is symmetrically distributed,even though the plasma distribution is asymmetric owing to the toroidal *** simulation results are helpful in constructing the relationship between the energy deposition on the detector and parameter distribution on the plasma cross section during HL-3 *** is beneficial for the reconstruction of the fast-electron-distribution function and for optimizing the design of the HXR-imaging system.

Epigenetic and transcriptional landscapes during cerebral cortex development in a microcephaly mouse model

The cerebral cortex is a pivotal structure integral to advanced brain functions within the mammalian central nervous *** methylation and hydroxymethylation play important roles in regulating cerebral cortex ***,it remains unclear whether abnormal cerebral cortex development,such as microcephaly,could rescale the epigenetic landscape,potentially contributing to dysregulated gene expression during brain *** this study,we characterize and compare the DNA methylome/hydroxymethylome and transcriptome profiles of the cerebral cortex across several developmental stages in wild-type(WT)mice and Mcph1 knockout(Mcph1-del)mice with severe ***,we discover a global reduction of 5′-hydroxymethylcytosine(5hmC)level,primarily in TET1-binding regions,in Mcph1-del mice compared to WT mice during juvenile and adult ***,genes exhibiting diminished 5hmC levels and concurrently decreased expression are essential for neurodevelopment and brain ***,genes displaying a delayed accumulation of 5hmC in Mcph1-del mice are significantly associated with the establishment and maintenance of the nervous system during the adult *** findings reveal that aberrant cerebral cortex development in the early stages profoundly alters the epigenetic regulation program,which provides unique insights into the molecular mechanisms underpinning diseases related to cerebral cortex development.
