Differences in vascular endothelial function and serum proteome between obese people with phlegm-dampness constitution and balanced constitution

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the extent of vascular endothelial dysfunction and preliminary identify serum protein biomarkers associated with obese individuals at risk for cardiovascular disease(CVD).METHODS:Fifteen obese volunteers with the phlegmdampness constitution or balanced constitution were recruited for this study *** clinical baseline data was collected,and the vascular endothelial function was evaluated using the EndoPAT?.Blood samples were collected for the serum proteome *** differences in the serum protein expression levels between the two groups were detected and the protein interaction network analysis,correlation analysis,receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis,and random forest model investigation were ***:There were no statistical differences found in the baseline *** vascular endothelial function,the reactive hyperemia index(RHI)of the phlegm-dampness constitution obese group was significantly lower than that of the balanced constitution obese group(1.46±0.30 vs 2.82±0.78,P<0.0001),indicating vascular endothelial *** are 66 differentially expressed serum proteins between the two *** A2(Apo A2),angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE-2),interleukin-33(IL-33),and forkhead box P3(FoxP3)showed significant differences and area under curve values of their ROC curves were greater than 0.7 and correlated significantly with ***:Vascular endothelial dysfunction was present in the phlegm-dampness constitution obese ***,alterations in the expression levels of key serum proteins,including Apo A2,ACE-2,IL-33,and Fox P3 could serve as potential biomarkers in the obese population at risk of CVD.

Synergic action of linear dispersion, second-order nonlinearity, and third-order nonlinearity in shaping the spectral profile of a femtosecond pulse transporting in a lithium niobate crystal

We present a detailed theoretical and numerical analysis on the temporal-spectral-spatial evolution of a highpeak-power femtosecond laser pulse in two sets of systems:a pure lithium niobate(LN)plate and a periodically poled lithium niobate(PPLN)*** develop a modified unidimensional pulse propagation model that considers all the prominent linear and nonlinear processes and carried out the simulation process based on an improved split-step Fourier transformation *** theoretically analyze the synergic action of the linear dispersion effect,the second-order nonlinearity(2nd-NL)second-harmonic generation(SHG)effect,and the third-order nonlinearity(3rd-NL)self-phase modulation(SPM)effect,and clarify the physical mechanism underlying the peculiar and diverse spectral broadening patterns previously reported in LN and PPLN thin plate *** analysis and discussion provides a deeper insight into the synergetic contribution of these linear and nonlinear effects brought about by the interaction of a femtosecond laser pulse with the LN nonlinear crystal and helps to draw a picture to fully understand these fruitful optical physical processes,phenomena,and laws.

Photodynamic therapy(PDT) has garnered significant attention as a promising approach to cancer therapy, harnessing the combined benefits of localized light treatment and the accompanying host immune response. In this study, we engineered an immuno-enhanced PDT nanoplatform, denoted as HM@p-MOF(hybrid membrane@porphyrin-metal organic framework). The core porphyrin-MOF was cloaked with a hybrid membrane derived from B16F10 cancer cells and NK cells, resulting in enhanced stability. In both in vitro and in vivo experiments, our finding demonstrated that the hybrid membrane conferred dual targeting capabilities to the nanoplatform, leveraging the unique properties of the B16F10 membrane and NK membrane to augment immunogenic cell death(ICD) induced by photodynamic effects. Additionally,in conjunction with the immunomodulatory functions of the NK cell membrane, we observed an expansion of in situ immune infiltration leading to a systemic immune response. The HM@p-MOF nanoplatform exhibited the capacity to not only inhibit the growth of mouse melanoma but also suppress metastasis. This innovative HM@p-MOF nanoplatform present a viable strategy to enhance phototherapeutic efficacy for both localized and metastatic tumors. It provides a direction for the fabrication of biomimetic nanomedicines possessing immuno-modulatory function.

The rapid advancement in the miniaturization,integration,and intelligence of electronic devices has escalated the demand for customizable microsupercapacitors(MSCs)with high energy ***,efficient microfabrication of safe and high‐energy MXene MSCs for integrating microelectronics remains a significant challenge due to the low voltage window in aqueous electrolytes(typically≤0.6 V)and limited areal mass loading of MXene ***,we tackle these challenges by developing a highconcentration(18mol kg^(−1))“water‐in‐LiBr”(WiB)gel electrolyte for MXene symmetric MSCs(M‐SMSCs),demonstrating a record high voltage window of 1.8 ***,additive‐free aqueous MXene ink with excellent rheological behavior is developed for three‐dimensional(3D)printing customizable all‐MXene microelectrodes on various *** the synergy of a highvoltage WiB gel electrolyte and 3D‐printed microelectrodes,quasi‐solid‐state MSMSCs operating stably at 1.8 V are constructed,and achieve an ultrahigh areal energy density of 1772μWhcm^(−2)and excellent low‐temperature tolerance,with a long‐term operation at−40℃.Finally,by extending the 3D printing protocol,M‐SMSCs are integrated with humidity sensors on a single planar substrate,demonstrating their reliability in miniaturized integrated microsystems.

1 Introduction Thanks very much for *** taking time to comment on our recent paper regarding“Chemical vapor deposition synthesis and Raman scattering investigation of quasi-one-dimensional ZrS_(3) nanoflakes”.We summarize the suggestions of *** as made in the comment[1].First,*** suggested that there are just three peaks of two S 2p doublets in Fig.2(b)in the original paper[1],which is inconsistent to the four peaks of previous reports[2-4].Second,*** mentioned that the ratio of two S 2p doublets is helpful to identify the sulfur vacancies,which have a great impact on the n-type semiconducting nature of ZrS_(3).Third,*** mentioned that Zr 3d peak appearing at 184.7 eV is wider than previous reports[2,4],which may be accounted by the appearance of ZrS_(2)O,and Zr remains in the tetravalent state.

Using Intelligent Screening Service Platform(ISSP)to Improve the Screening Process of Clinical Trial Subjects during COVID-19 Pandemic:An Experimental Study

Spectral matching based remote sensing identification of two main crop rotation patterns in a large irrigation district

Abstract:The rapid identification of planting patterns for major crops in a large irrigated district has vital importance for irrigation management,water fee collection,and crop yield *** this study,the OTSU algorithm and Mean-Shift algorithm were employed to automatically determine threshold values for mapping two main rotated crop patterns at the pixel scale.A time series analysis was conducted to extract the spatial distribution of rice-wheat and wheat-maize rotations in the Chuanhang irrigation district from 2016 to *** results demonstrate that both threshold segmentation algorithms are reliable in extracting the spatial distribution of the crops,with an overall accuracy exceeding 80%.Additionally,both Kappa coefficients surpass 0.7,indicating better performance by OTSU *** the period from 2016 to 2020,the area occupied by ricewheat rotation cropping ranged from 12 500 to 14 400 hm2;whereas wheat-maize rotation cropping exhibited smaller and more variable areas ranging from 19730 to 34070 *** findings highlight how remote sensing-based approaches can provide reliable support for rapidly and accurately identifying the spatial distribution of main crop rotation patterns within a large irrigation district.
