Synergistic Effects of Glutamine Deprivation and Metformin in Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Objective The metabolic reprogramming of acute myeloid leukemia(AML)cells is a compensatory adaptation to meet energy requirements for rapid *** study aimed to examine the synergistic effects of glutamine deprivation and metformin exposure on AML *** SKM-1 cells(an AML cell line)were subjected to glutamine deprivation and/or treatment with metformin or bis-2-(5-phenylacetamido-1,2,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)ethyl sulfide(BPTES,a glutaminase inhibitor)or *** viability was detected by Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8)assay,and cell apoptosis and reactive oxygen species(ROS)by flow *** blotting was conducted to examine the levels of apoptotic proteins,including cleaved caspase-3 and poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase(PARP).Moreover,the human long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)microarray was used to analyze gene expression after glutamine deprivation,and results were confirmed with quantitative RT-PCR(qRT-PCR).The expression of metallothionein 2A(MT2A)was suppressed using *** growth and apoptosis were further detected by CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry,respectively,in cells with MT2A *** Glutamine deprivation or treatment with BPTES inhibited cell growth and induced apoptosis in SKM-1 *** lncRNA microarray result showed that the expression of MT family genes was significantly upregulated after glutamine ***2A knockdown increased apoptosis,while proliferation was not affected in SKM-1 *** addition,metformin inhibited cell growth and induced apoptosis in SKM-1 *** glutamine deprivation and metformin enhanced the sensitivity of SKM-1 cells to ***,the combination of glutamine deprivation with metformin exhibited synergistic antileukemia effects on SKM-1 *** Targeting glutamine metabolism in combination with metformin is a promising new therapeutic strategy for AML.

Delay-optimal multi-satellite collaborative computation offloading supported by OISL in LEO satellite network

By deploying the ubiquitous and reliable coverage of low Earth orbit(LEO)satellite networks using optical inter satel-lite link(OISL),computation offloading services can be provided for any users without proximal servers,while the resource limita-tion of both computation and storage on satellites is the impor-tant factor affecting the maximum task completion *** this paper,we study a delay-optimal multi-satellite collaborative computation offloading scheme that allows satellites to actively migrate tasks among themselves by employing the high-speed OISLs,such that tasks with long queuing delay will be served as quickly as possible by utilizing idle computation resources in the *** satisfy the delay requirement of delay-sensi-tive task,we first propose a deadline-aware task scheduling scheme in which a priority model is constructed to sort the order of tasks being served based on its deadline,and then a delay-optimal collaborative offloading scheme is derived such that the tasks which cannot be completed locally can be migrated to other idle *** results demonstrate the effective-ness of our multi-satellite collaborative computation offloading strategy in reducing task complement time and improving resource utilization of the LEO satellite network.

3D printing encouraging desired in-situ polypyrrole seed-polymerization for ultra-high energy density supercapacitors

The tireless pursuit of supercapacitors with high energy density entails the parallel advancement of wellsuited electrode materials and elaborately engineered ***(PPy)emerges as an exceedingly conductive polymer and a prospective pseudocapacitive materials for supercapacitors,yet the inferior cyclic stability and unpredictable polymerization patterns severely impede its real-world ***,for the first time,an innovative seed-induced in-situ polymerization assisted 3D printing strategy is proposed to fabricate PPy-reduced graphene oxide/poly(vinylidene difluoride-cohexafluoropropylene)(PVDF-HFP)(PPy-rGO/PH)electrodes with controllable polymerization behavior and exceptional areal mass *** preferred active sites uniformly pre-planted on the 3D-printed graphene substrates serve as reliable seeds to induce efficient polypyrrole deposition,achieving an impressive mass loading of 185.6 mg cm^(-2)(particularly 79.2 mg cm^(-2)for polypyrrole)and a superior areal capacitance of 25.2 F cm^(-2)at 2 mA cm^(-2)for a 12-layer *** agreement with theses appealing features,an unprecedented areal energy density of 1.47 mW h cm^(-2)for a symmetrical device is registered,a rarely achieved value for other PPy/rGO-based *** work highlights a promising route to preparing high energy density energy storage modules for real-world applications.

An Effective Approach for the Preparation of High Performance Thermal Conductive Polymer Composites Containing Liquid Metal

The preparation of high-performance thermal conductive composites containing liquid metals(LM)has attracted significant ***,the stable dispersion of LM within polymer solution and effective property contribution of liquid metals remains significant challenges that need to be *** by the properties of the dendritic structure of the tree root system in grasping the soil,“shear-induced precipitation-interfacial reset-reprotonation”processing strategy is proposed to prepare nanocomposites based on aramid micron fibers(AMFs)with hierarchical dendritic *** to the combination of van der Waals force provided by hierarchical dendritic structure,electrostatic interaction between AMFs and LM,coordinative bonding of―NH to LM,together with interfacial re-setting and multi-step protonation,several features can be achieved through such strategy:conducive to the local filler network construction,improvement of interfacial interaction,improvement of the stability of filler dispersion in the solvent,and enhancement of mechanical and thermal properties of the *** resulting AMFsp H=4/LM films demonstrate a thermal conductivity of 10.98 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)at 70%filler content,improvement of 126.8%compared to ANFs/LM film;while maintaining a strength of~85.88 MPa,improvement of 77%compared to AMFs/LM *** also possess insulation properties,enable heat dissipation for high power *** work provides an effective strategy for the preparation of high performance polymer composites containing liquid metal.

Effect of tungsten carbide particles on microstructure and mechanical properties of Cu alloy composite bit matrix

Copper alloy composite bit matrix was prepared by pressureless vacuum infiltration,using at least one of the three kinds of tungsten carbide particles,for example,irregular cast tungsten carbide,monocrystalline tungsten carbide and sintered reduced tungsten carbide *** effects of powder particle morphology,particle size and mass fraction of tungsten carbide on the microstructure and mechanical properties of copper alloy composite were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and abrasive wear test in *** results show that tungsten carbide morphology and particle size have obvious effects on the mechanical properties of copper alloy *** tungsten carbide partially dissolved in the copper alloy binding phase,and layers of Cu_(0.3)W_(0.5)Ni_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)C phase with a thickness of around 8–15μm were formed on the edge of the cast tungsten *** 45%irregular crushed fine cast tungsten carbide and 15%monocrystalline cast tungsten carbide were used as the skeleton,satisfactory comprehensive performance of the reinforced copper alloy composite bit matrix was obtained,with the bending strength,impact toughness and hardness reaching 1048 MPa,4.95 J/cm^(2) and 43.6 HRC,*** main wear mechanism was that the tungsten carbide particles firstly protruded from the friction surface after the copper alloy matrix was worn,and then peeled off from the matrix when further wear occurred.

Recently,poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)-based solid polymer electrolytes have been attracting great attention,and efforts are currently underway to develop PEO-based composite electrolytes for next generation high performance all-solid-state lithium metal *** this article,a novel sandwich structured solid-state PEO composite electrolyte is developed for high performance all-solid-state lithium metal *** PEO-based composite electrolyte is fabricated by hot-pressing PEO,LiTFSI and Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene nanosheets into glass fiber cloth(GFC).The as-prepared GFC@PEO-MXene electrolyte shows high mechanical properties,good electrochemical stability,and high lithium-ion migration number,which indicates an obvious synergistic effect from the microscale GFC and the nanoscale *** as,the GFC@PEO-1 wt%MXene electrolyte shows a high tensile strength of 43.43 MPa and an impressive Young's modulus of 496 MPa,which are increased by 1205%and 6048%over those of ***,the ionic conductivity of GFC@PEO-1 wt%MXene at 60℃ reaches 5.01×10^(-2) S m^(-1),which is increased by around 200%compared with that of GFC@PEO *** addition,the Li/Li symmetric battery based on GFC@PEO-1 wt%MXene electrolyte shows an excellent cycling stability over 800 h(0.3 mA cm^(-2),0.3 mAh cm^(-2)),which is obviously longer than that based on PEO and GFC@PEO electrolytes due to the better compatibility of GFC@PEO-1 wt%MXene electrolyte with Li ***,the solid-state Li/LiFePO_(4) battery with GFC@PEO-1 wt%MXene as electrolyte demonstrates a high capacity of 110.2–166.1 mAh g^(-1) in a wide temperature range of 25–60C,and an excellent capacity retention *** developed sandwich structured GFC@PEO-1 wt%MXene electrolyte with the excellent overall performance is promising for next generation high performance all-solid-state lithium metal batteries.

Effects of longitudinal magnetic field on primary dendrite spacing and segregation of directionally solidified single crystal superalloy

The primary dendrite spacing(PDS) and segregation of directionally solidified single crystal(SC) superalloy under the longitudinal magnetic field(LMF) were investigated based on the analysis of the whole cross-sectional microstructure at different solidification distances. The results show that the PDS under the LMF remains basically unchanged at different solidification distances, and it is greater than that under no LMF. With the increase of magnetic field intensity, the PDS increases and the macrosegregation decreases. The increasing PDS and reducing segregation under the LMF can be attributed to the increase of solute boundary layer, which expands the non-equilibrium freezing temperature range and brings the effective partition coefficient closer to 1. The increase of the solute enrichment layer thickness could be caused by the downward secondary circulation generated by the thermoelectric magnetic convection(TEMC) near the interface, which drives the migration of solutes towards the interdendritic region. This work not only clarifies the mechanism of LMF controlling PDS and reducing segregation by TEMC, but also provides theoretical guidance for producing high-quality SC superalloys using magnetic fields.

Efficient removal of Cr(VI) by polydopamine-modified lignin from aqueous solution: Batch and XAFS studies

Lignocellulose has the potential to become a bio-based adsorbent due to its biodegradability and *** this study,a novel polydopamine functionalized-lignin(lignin@PDA),prepared via self-polymerization of dopamine(PDA)on lignin,was used as a bio-based adsorbent for rapid scavenging of hexavalent chromium(Cr(VI)).The morphology,functional groups,crystalline structure,and chemical composition of lignin@PDA were characterized with a scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrometer,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,and X-ray photoelectron *** Cr(VI)adsorption process of lignin@PDA was studied using batch experiments as a function of pH,ionic strength,adsorbent dose,and contact time at room *** adsorption rate of lignin@PDA was five times greater than that of the unmodified lignin,with a maximum adsorption capacity of 102.6 mg/g in an acidic *** adsorption of Cr(VI)on lignin@PDA fit the pseudo-secondorder equation and the Freundlich model,indicating that the adsorption process was mainly dominated by chemisorption and surface *** thermodynamic parameters showed that adsorption of Cr(VI)on lignin@PDA was an endothermic and spontaneous *** X-ray absorption fine structure results showed that sorption and reduction of Cr(VI)into Cr(II)occurred simultaneously on ***,PDA coating not only improved the reactivity of lignin but also promoted the complete reduction of Cr(VI)by *** to these results,polydopamine functionalized-lignin is a promising bio-based adsorbent for immobilization of Cr(VI)from wastewater.

Remote sensing of air pollution incorporating integrated-path differential-absorption and coherent-Doppler lidar

An innovative complex lidar system deployed on an airborne rotorcraft platform for remote sensing of atmospheric pollution is proposed and *** system incorporates integrated-path differential absorption lidar(DIAL) and coherent-doppler lidar(CDL) techniques using a dual tunable TEA CO_(2)laser in the 9—11 μm band and a 1.55 μm fiber *** combining the principles of differential absorption detection and pulsed coherent detection,the system enables agile and remote sensing of atmospheric *** static tests validate the system’s real-time detection capabilities,including the measurement of concentration-path-length product(CL),front distance,and path wind speed of air pollution plumes over long distances exceeding 4 *** experiments is conducted with the *** of the pollutant concentration and the wind field is carried out in an approximately 1 km slant range over scanning angle ranges from 45°to 65°,with a radial resolution of 30 m and10 *** test results demonstrate the system’s ability to spatially map atmospheric pollution plumes and predict their motion and dispersion patterns,thereby ensuring the protection of public safety.

Induced Absolute Configuration of Achiral Tetradentate Ligands in Metal–Organic Frameworks for Circularly Polarized Luminescence

The crystallization of chiral molecules is of great significance to understand the origin and evolution of hierarchical chirality and reveal the relationships between structural chirality and circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)***,we report two pairs of chiral metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)(DCF-17/LCF-17,DCF-18/LCF-18)by utilizing tetradentate ligands tetra(3-imidazoylphenyl)ethylene(TIPE)and 4,4'-[4',5'-bis[4-(4-pyridinyl)phenyl][1,1':2',1”-terphenyl]-4,4”-diyl]bis[pyridine](TPPP)as *** can be observed that the spontaneous resolution of the achiral ligands is converted into the induced resolution,and the ligands form the absolute configuration by using enantiopure camphoric acid(cam)as chiral induced reagent(CIR).As a result,the racemate MOFs can be driven to generate absolute homochiral *** two achiral MOFs[Cd(D-cam)(TPPP)_(0.5)](AF-1,AF=achiral framework)and[Cd(L-cam)(TPPP)_(0.5)](AF-2)were *** position disorder of D/L-cam skeleton causes the generation of nonchiralization,further leading to disappearance of symmetry breaking of *** the perspective of structure,this is the first report which reveals the chiral transfer and nonchiralization between chiral induced agents and tetradentate ***,DCF-17 and LCF-17 show CPL with luminescence dissymmetry factor(glum)of–1.0×10^(-2)and+9.2×10^(–3),*** work provides the useful evidences to reveal the induced chiral crystallization and the construction of CPL-active crystalline materials.
