The effect of thermal treatments on mechanical properties was systematically investigated in Ni/Mo multilayers with a constant modulation period(160 nm)prepared by magnetron sputtering deposition.A supermodulus effect was found in the annealed multilayers as compared to the as-deposited state.A large tensile stress development was observed in the *** evolution of grain-boundary(GB)wetting was observed at the interfaces of the multilayers,which results in an enhanced modulus based on the mechanism of GB-wetting-induced interfacial stress/*** GB wetting phenomenon was further supported by a thermodynamic *** results not only bring clear evidence of the important role of interfacial structures in governing the elastic behavior of metallic multilayers,but also allow designing the multilayers with special properties through atomic diffusion and wetting at the interfaces based on the thermodynamic calculation.

The stability of coiled carbon nanotubes under C ion irradiation is investigated by molecular dynamics *** defect statistics shows that small curvature coiled carbon nanotubes have better radiation tolerance than normal straight carbon *** understand the effect of the curvature on defect production,the threshold displacement energies for the upper and lower walls,as well as those for the side parts,are *** results show that the lower wall has better radiation tolerance than the upper *** the upper wall,a small increase in the curvature of nanotube axis gives rise to an increase in the radiation tolerance and then a decrease with the curvature becomes ***,for the lower wall,as the curvature of the nanotube axis increases,the radiation tolerance increases as the bonds compressed slightly in our simulation.

For swarm robots moving in a harsh or uncharted outdoor environment without GPS guidance and global communication,algorithms that rely on global-based information are ***,traditional gene regulatory networks(GRNs)that achieve superior performance in forming trapping pattern towards targets require accurate global positional information to guide swarm *** article presents a gene regulatory network with Self-organized grouping and entrapping method for swarms(SUNDER-GRN)to achieve adequate trapping performance with a large-scale swarm in a confined multitarget environment with access to only local information.A hierarchical self-organized grouping method(HSG)is proposed to structure subswarms in a distributed *** addition,a modified distributed controller,with a relative coordinate system that is established to relieve the need for global information,is leveraged to facilitate subswarms entrapment toward different targets,thus improving the global multi-target entrapping *** results demonstrate the superiority of SUNDERGRN in the performance of structuring subswarms and entrapping 10 targets with 200 robots in an environment confined by obstacles and with only local information accessible.

In order to reduce high calibration pressure in hydroforming of components with too small radii, a method wasproposed to manufacture automotive hollow components with rectangular shape by relatively lower pressure. Theprocess is simulated and analyzed. It is thought that the friction force between the die surface and tube is a mainreason that high pressure is needed to form small radii. Using the method proposed in this paper, a petal-like sectionshape is first preformed so that the central zones of the four sides of the preform section do not contact with the diesides, thus the tube metal is easy to flow into the transition radii area in calibration stage. Moreover, a positive forcealong the sides is produced by the internal pressure, which is beneficial to overcome the friction force and push thematerial into the radii. Therefore, the pressure for forming the transition radii is greatly reduced and the componentswith small radii can be formed with relatively lower pressure. For the experimental case conducted in this paper, theforming pressure is reduced by about 28.6% than the estimated forming pressure.

This paper investigates a distributed recursive projection identification problem with binaryvalued observations built on a sensor network,where each sensor in the sensor network measures partial information of the unknown parameter only,but each sensor is allowed to communicate with its neighbors.A distributed recursive projection algorithm is proposed based on a specific projection operator and a diffusion *** authors establish the upper bound of the accumulated regrets of the adaptive predictor without any requirement of excitation ***,the convergence of the algorithm is given under the bounded cooperative excitation condition,which is more general than the previously imposed independence or persistent excitations on the system regressors and maybe the weakest one under binary observations.A numerical example is supplied to demonstrate the theoretical results and the cooperative effect of the sensors,which shows that the whole network can still fulfill the estimation task through exchanging information between sensors even if any individual sensor cannot.

In this paper, we propose an arc-search interior-point algorithm for convex quadratic programming with a wide neighborhood of the central path, which searches the optimizers along the ellipses that approximate the entire central path. The favorable polynomial complexity bound of the algorithm is obtained, namely O（nlog（（ x^0）~TS^0/ε）） which is as good as the linear programming analogue. Finally, the numerical experiments show that the proposed algorithm is efficient.

Quantitative Analysis of Catalpol in Chinese Patent Medicine Lixin Pill by Near-infrared Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy

Lixin pill is a typical Chinese patent medicine with anti-rheumatic heart disease activity that has been widely used in clinical practice. Therefore it is very important to detect the concentration of catalpol, as the main component of the active ingredient. Near-infrared reflectance（NIR） spectroscopy was used to study the content of catalpol in the unprocessed Chinese patent medicine of Lixin pills. NIR is applied to quantitatively analyze 77 sam- ples, which were randomly divided into a calibration set containing 61 samples and a prediction set containing 16 samples. To get a satisfying result, partial least squares（PLS） regression was utilized to establish quantitative models. In PLS regression, the values of coefficient of determination（R2） and root mean square error of cross-validation （RMSECV） of PLS regression are 0.9419 and 0.0216, respectively. The process of establishing model, parameters of model, and prediction results were also discussed in detail（root mean square error of prediction is 0.0164）. The over- all results show that NIR spectroscopy can be efficiently utilized for the rapid and accurate analysis of routine chemical compositions in the Chinese patent medicine of Lixin pills. The prediction set suggests that this quantitative analysis model has excellent generalization ability and prediction precision. Accordingly, the result can provide tech- nical support for the further analysis of catalpol in unprocessed Lixin pill. Moreover, this study supplied technical support for the further analysis of other Chinese patent medicine samples.
