Intelligent Multivariable Modeling of Blast Furnace Molten Iron Quality Based on Dynamic AGA-ANN and PCA

Blast furnace （BF） ironmaking process has complex and nonlinear dynamic characteristics. The molten iron temperature （MIT） as well as Si, P and S contents of molten iron is difficult to be directly measured online, and large-time delay exists in offline analysis through laboratory sampling. A nonlinear multivariate intelligent modeling method was proposed for molten iron quality （MIQ） based on principal component analysis （PCA） and dynamic ge- netic neural network. The modeling method used the practical data processed by PCA dimension reduction as inputs of the dynamic artificial neural network （ANN）. A dynamic feedback link was introduced to produce a dynamic neu- ral network on the basis of traditional back propagation ANN. The proposed model improved the dynamic adaptabili- ty of networks and solved the strong fluctuation and resistance problem in a nonlinear dynamic system. Moreover, a new hybrid training method was presented where adaptive genetic algorithms （AGA） and ANN were integrated, which could improve network convergence speed and avoid network into local minima. The proposed method made it easier for operators to understand the inside status of blast furnace and offered real-time and reliable feedback infor- mation for realizing close-loop control for MIQ. Industrial experiments were made through the proposed model based on data collected from a practical steel company. The accuracy could meet the requirements of actual operation.

This article explores the effects of doping ferroelectric materials MgTiO_(3) with different proportions on the properties of polyaniline(PANI).PANI/MgTiO_(3) composites were prepared by in-situ composite *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and X-ray diffraction(XRD)were used to characterize the structure of the *** electron microscope(SEM)was used to characterize the morphology of the *** thermal stability of the composites was investigated by thermogravimetry(TG)and derivative thermogravimetry(DTG).Electrochemical methods(cyclic voltammetry(CV),electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),and constant current charge-discharge test)were used to compare and analyze the electrochemical performance of the ***-DTG analysis and electrochemical experiments all show that the thermal stability and electrochemical properties of the PANI/MgTiO_(3) composite with a mass ratio of 82/18(w/w)are the *** results indicate that there is a synergistic effect between PANI and MgTiO_(3),which improves the performances of the PANI when the appropriate amount of MgTiO_(3) is added.

Recently,high/medium-entropy alloys(HEAs/MEA s)have been considered attractive catalysts due to their unique physicochemical ***,the synthesis of nano-sized HEAs/MEAs catalysts with desirable morphology presents significant ***,we report the synthesis of NiCoFeCu MEA nanoparticles encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes(NCTs)via a straightforward one-step pyrolysis *** unique structure of NiCoFeCu/NCTs and the nano-sized MEA catalysts contributes to the improved hydrogen desorption kinetics of MgH_(2).The onset dehydrogenation temperature of the MgH_(2)-NiCoFeCu/NCTs composite decreased to 173.4℃,a reduction of 117.4℃compared to pure MgH_(2).The MgH_(2)-NiCoFeCu/NCTs composite could release 6.50 wt%H_(2)within 30 min at 325℃.Furthermore,an activation energy of 116.3 kJ·mol^(-1)for the MgH_(2)-NiCoFeCu/NCTs composite has been obtained,much lower than pure milled MgH_(2),demonstrating an enhanced hydrogen desorption ***,the exceptional dispersion capability of the carbon material contributes to outstanding cyclic stability without any loss of capacity even after 10 cycles of de/hydrogenation at300℃.

Utilizing delayed expansion cemented paste backfill materials(DECPB) in mine backfill operations offers an effective solution to the challenge of achieving proper contact between the in-situ cemented backfill mass and the roof in mined-out areas(backfill-roof contact).This article presents recent progress in both theoretical and experimental research concerning *** types and mechanisms of expansive additives,including expansive agents,foaming agents,and expansive mineral materials relevant to DECPB,are explained,along with their impact on the expansive properties and mechanical characteristics of *** composition,material characteristics,preparation methods,and controlled release mechanisms of microcapsules are *** methods for measuring the volume change rate of paste backfill slurries are *** indicates that an appropriate content of expansive additives not only enhances the expansive properties of cemented paste backfill materials but also contributes to improving their mechanical *** foaming agents and bentonite are found to be more suitable for preparing DECPB compared to expansive *** delayed expansion of cemented paste backfill material is influenced by microcapsules,with their wall materials,preparation parameters,and the alkaline slurry environment affecting their controlled release *** and optimizing precise measurement devices and methods forfor the volume change rate of cemented paste backfill materials is essential requirement for studying the performance of *** delayed expansion technology with retarding techniques in cemented paste backfill materials can provide a reliable solution for achieving proper backfill-roof contact in the future.

Propofol induces apoptosis and increases gemcitabine sensitivity in pancreatic cancer cells in vitro by inhibition of nuclear factor-κ B activity

AIM:To investigate the effect of propofol on human pancreatic cells and the molecular mechanism of propofol ***:We used the human pancreatic cancer cell line MIAPaCa-2 for in vitro studies measuring growth inhibition and degree of apoptotic cell death induced by propofol alone,gemcitabine alone,or propofol followed by *** experiments were conducted in triplicate and carried out on three or more separate *** were means of the three or more independent experiments±*** significant differences were determined by two-tailed unpaired Student’s t test and defined as P<***:Pretreatment of cells with propofol for 24 h followed by gemcitabine resulted in 24%-75% growth inhibition compared with 6%-18%when gemcitabine was used *** growth inhibition was directly correlated with apoptotic cell *** also showed that propofol potentiated gemcitabine-induced killing by downregulation of nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB).In contrast,NF-κB was upregulated when pancreatic cancer cells were exposed to gemcitabine alone,suggesting a potential mechanism of acquired ***:Inactivation of the NF-κB signaling pathway by propofol might abrogate gemcitabineinduced activation of NF-κB,resulting in chemosensitization of pancreatic tumors to gemcitabine.

Objective:Distinguishing immune-related adverse events(irAEs)caused by immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)from the AEs caused by chemotherapy,targeted therapy,or infection is highly *** study offers new insights into evaluating the diagnosis,differential diagnostic,and prognostic value of ferritin for irAEs induced by ***:From December 1,2018,to April 1,2019,we examined 318 patients with malignant tumors who received serum ferritin *** cohort comprised 231 patients treated with PD-1 inhibitor or combination with chemotherapy,and 87 patients treated with *** the 231 patients,90 had irAEs(irAE group),70 had non-irAEs(non-irAE group),67 had no AEs(no irAE-non irAE group),and 4 had unclassified *** the 87 patients,60 had AEs(AE group),and 27 had no AEs(no AE group).Statistical analyses were conducted with nonparametric Mann-Whitney ***:At the onset of AEs in the irAE group,ferritin(normal range,35–150μg/L)rose to a median of 927μg/L(range,117–17,825μg/L)from 86μg/L at baseline(range,29–421μg/L)(P<0.001).Ferritin levels at the onset of AEs in the irAE group were significantly higher than those in the non-irAE group(median,81μg/L;range,32–478μg/L)(P<0.001)and the AE group(median,103μg/L;range,23–712μg/L)(P<0.001).After treatment in the irAE group,ferritin continuously decreased to a normal range in recovered patients,showed no significant changes in stable patients,and continued to rise in patients who ***:Ferritin can be used as a diagnostic,differential diagnostic,and prognostic marker for irAEs in patients treated with ICIs.

Dynamic responses of K-type and inverted-K-type jacket support structures for offshore wind-turbines

The jacket structure has become more popular as the offshore wind-turbine support structure. K-type and inverted-K-type jacket support structures have superior potential due to their fewer joints and lower cost of manufacture and installation. A numerical study was presented on the dynamic responses of K-type and inverted-K-type jacket support structures subjected to different kinds of dynamic load. The results show that the inverted-K-type jacket structure has higher natural frequencies than the K-type. The wave force spectrum response shows that the maximum displacement of the K-type jacket structure is larger than that of the inverted-K-type. The time-history responses under wind and wave-current load indicate that the inverted-K-type jacket structure shows smaller displacement and stress compared with the K-type, and presents different stress concentration phenomena. The dynamic responses reveal that the inverted-K-type of jacket support structure has greater stiffness and superior mechanical properties, and thus is more applicable in the offshore area with relatively deep water.

Effects of temperature and nutrients on phytoplankton biomass during bloom seasons in Taihu Lake

Long-term variations of phytoplankton chlorophyll-a （Chl-a）, nutrients, and suspended solids （SS） in Taihu Lake, a large shallow freshwater lake in China, during algal bloom seasons from May to August were analyzed using the monthly investigated data from 1999 to 2007. The effective accumulated water temperature （EAWT） in months from March to June was calculated with daily monitoring data from the Taihu Laboratory for Lake Ecosystem Research （TLLER）. The concentrations of Chl-a and nutrients significantly decreased from Meiliang Bay to Central Lake. Annual averages of the total nitrogen （TN）, total phosphorus （TP）, and Chl-a concentrations, and EAWT generally increased in the nine years. In Meiliang Bay, the concentration of Chl-a was significantly correlated with EAWT, ammonia nitrogen （NH4＋N）, TN, the soluble reactive phosphorus （SRP）, TP, and SS. In Central Lake, however, the concentration of Chl-a was only correlated with EAWT, TP, and SS. Multiple stepwise linear regression revealed that EAWT, dissolved total phosphorus （DTP）, and TP explained 99.2% of the variation of Chl-a in Meiliang Bay, and that EAWT, NH4＋-N, and TP explained 98.7% of the variation of Chl-a in Central Lake. Thus EAWT is an important factor influencing the annual change of phytoplankton biomass. Extreme climate change, such as extremely hot springs or cold springs, could cause very different bloom intensities in different years. It is also suggested that both nutrients and EAWT played important roles in the growth of phytoplankton in Taihu Lake. The climate factors and nutrients dually controlled the risk of harmful algal blooms in Taihu Lake. Cutting down phosphorus and nitrogen loadings from catchments should be a fundamental strategy to reduce the risk of blooms in Taihu Lake.
