In this communication,we report a synthetic approach to fabricate Y-junction Co nanowires and Y-junction Cu nanowires by AC electrodeposition using a hierarchically designed anodized aluminum oxide *** study showe that diameters of the stems and branches of the Y-junction nanowires were about 40 nm and 20 nm *** analysis indicates that Co nanowires had a mixture of face-center-cubic and hexagonal-close-packed structures,whereas Cu nanowires had a face-center-cubic structure with a *** Y-junction Co nanowires exhibited a longitudinal coercivity of 1300 Oe and remnant magnetization of 56%,which was affected by the growth direction and *** present method can be extended to other metallic systems and thus provides a simple and efficient way to fabricate Y-junction metal nanowires.

Hearing impairment is considered as the most prevalent impairment worldwide. Almost 600 million people in the world suffer from mild or moderate hearing impairment, an estimated 10% of the human population. Genetic factors play an important role in the pathogenesis of this disorder. Hereditary hearing loss is divided into syndromic hearing loss （associated with other anomalies） and non-syndromic hearing loss （not associated with other anomalies）. Approximately 80% of genetic deafness is non-syndromic. On the basis of the frequency of hearing loss, hereditary non-syndromic hearing loss can be divided into high-, mid-, low-, and total-frequency hearing loss. An audiometric finding of mid-frequency sensorineural hearing loss, or a ＂bowl-shaped＂ audiogram, is uncommon. Up to now, merely 7 loci have been linked to mid-frequency hearing loss. Only four genetic mid- frequency deafness genes, namely, DFNA10 （EYA4）, DFNA8/12 （TECTA）, DFNA13 （COLIIA2）, DFNA44 （CCDC50）, have been reported to date. This review summarizes the research progress of the four genes to draw attention to mid-frequency deafness genes.

Corrosion inhibition of stainless steel due to a sulfate-reducing bacteria （SRB） biofilm in seawater was studied. By atomic force microscopy, a layer of fish-scale-like biofilm was found to form as stainless steel coupons were exposed to the culture media with SRB, and this biofilm grew more and more compact. As a result, coupons＇ surface under the biofilm turned irregular less slowly than that exposed to the sterilized culture media. Then, physicoelectric characteristics of the electrode/biofilrn/solution interface were investigated by electro- chemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS）, and the coverage of the biofilm as well as the relative irregularity of coupons＇ surface was also re- corded by EIS spectra.. Finally, anodic cyclic polarization results further demonstrated the protective property of the biofilm. Therefore, in es- timation of SRB-implicated corrosion of stainless steel, not only the detrimental SRB metabolites but also the protective SRB biofilm as well should be taken into account.

This study aimed to explore a new degradation method-photocatalysis technology to polish membrane bioreactor(MBR) effluent, using 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol(2,6-DTBP) as a model soluble microbial product(SMP).2,6-DTBP is one of the predominant SMPs in MBR effluent, which is refractory and difficult to *** study developed a novel carboxylated graphene oxide/titanium dioxide/silver(GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag) nanocomposite to photodegrade 2,***-COOH/TiO2/Ag was successfully synthesized, using L-cysteine as the linker bonding TiO2/Ag to *** structural, morphological and optical properties of the GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag nanocomposite were characterized using various *** to synergistic effects, the GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag nanocomposite exhibited enhanced photocatalytic degradation performance under solar light irradiation when compared to TiO2, Ag and *** remove 25 mg/L 2,6-DTBP, the reaction time for GOCOOH/TiO2/Ag was only 30 min, faster than the 90 min required for pure TiO2 or *** addition, the 200 mg/L GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag nanocomposite aqueous solution showed the best performance under solar light, with 99% removal of 2,*** enhanced capability is likely due to the surface plasmon resonance(SPR) effect contributed by Ag nanoparticles(NPs) doped onto the *** addition, GO-COOH had a high effective surface area, which assisted in degrading the 2,6-DTBP through improved *** stability study showed that the photocatalytic activity of the GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag was stable enough for recycling multiple *** effective degradation performance and excellent stability demonstrates that the GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag nanocomposite can be a promising photocatalyst in the field of effluent SMP photodegradation, which solves the problem of the difficult biodegradation of highly toxic 2,6-DTBP.

Single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)are recognized as one kind of major genetic variants in population ***,polymorphisms at the proteome level in population scale remain *** the present study,we named amino acid variances derived from SNPs within coding regions as single amino acid polymorphisms(SAPs)at the proteome level,and developed a pipeline of nontargeted and targeted proteomics to identify and quantify SAP peptides in human *** absolute concentrations of three selected SAP-peptide pairs among 290 Asian individuals were measured by selected reaction monitoring(SRM)approach,and their associations with both obesity and diabetes were further *** work revealed that heterozygotes and homozygotes with various SAPs in a population could have different associations with particular *** addition,the SRM approach allows us for the first time to separately measure the absolute concentration of each SAP peptide in the heterozygotes,which also shows different associations with particular traits.

In general,physicians make a preliminary diagnosis based on patients’admission narratives and admission conditions,largely depending on their experiences and professional *** automatic and accurate tentative diagnosis based on clinical narratives would be of great importance to physicians,particularly in the shortage of medical *** its great value,little work has been conducted on this diagnosis ***,in this study,we propose a fusion model that integrates the semantic and symptom features contained in the clinical *** semantic features of the input text are initially captured by an attention-based Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(BiLSTM)*** symptom concepts,recognized from the input text,are then vectorized by using the term frequency-inverse document frequency method based on the relations between symptoms and ***,two fusion strategies are utilized to recommend the most potential candidate for the international classification of diseases *** training and evaluation are performed on a public clinical *** results show that both fusion strategies achieved a promising performance,in which the best performance obtained a top-3 accuracy of 0.7412.

We investigate quantum teleportation and Bell nonlocality for two channel qubits coupled via the Heisenberg interaction and subject to two independent dissipative *** with the case of two uncoupled qubits,it is shown that the interaction Hamiltonian is beneficial for enhancing the teleportation fidelity and Bell nonlocality,and remarkably,it can also be used to create nonclassical teleportation fidelity and Bell nonlocality even from the initial product ***,the interaction Hamiltonian guarantees the generation of steady-state nonclassical teleportation fidelity,which is independent of the initial state and therefore one can take any state as the initial channel state.

This paper presents the combustion characteristics in hybrid rocket motors with multisegmented grain through three-dimensional numerical ***-segmented grain is composed of several thin grains with two or more *** numerical model consists of Navier-Stokes equations with turbulence,solid fuel pyrolysis,chemical reactions,a fluid–solid coupling model and a regression rate *** simulations adopt 90%Hydrogen Peroxide(HP)and PolyEthylene(PE)as the propellant *** effects of the rotation,port number,fuel grain segment number and mid-chamber length on the flow field and combustion performances are *** results indicate that the multi-segmented grain configuration can strengthen the flow field,and the regression rate and combustion efficiency are *** the cases with two grain segments and three ports for example,the regression rate is increased by 32.4%-45.1%and the combustion efficiency increases by 6%-8.6%in different rotation angles.
