This paper considers the formatiomshape control of three agents in the plane. By adding an adaptive perturbation to any agent＇s movement direction, a novel control strategy is proposed. It is shown that the proposed novel control law can not only guarantee the global asymptotical stability of the desired formation shape, but also ensure the collision avoidance of agents between each other. Simulation results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the control algorithm.

This paper addresses the leader selection problem for strong structural controllability(SSC)of multi-agent systems(MASs). For a path-bud graph, it is proved that only one leader is required to guarantee the SSC of MASs. For a special type of topologies, based on the partition of the topology into disjoint pathes and path-buds, it is proved that the MASs is strongly structurally controllable if the root nodes of the pathes are selected as leaders. For general topologies, an algorithm is provided to determine the agents that can behave as leaders. For some special topologies, the minimum number of leaders guaranteeing the robust strong structural controllability(RSSC) of MASs is also *** examples are given to verify the effectiveness of the results.

The mean square displacements of fluid particles in a turbulent channel flow at Reτ = 100 are investigated using a modified Langevin equation, and are compared with DNS results. Both the Lagrangian integral time scales directly obtained from DNS and the predicted values using an empirical relation between the Eulerian and the Lagrangian integral time scales are used in the modified Langevin equation to test the effects of integral time scales on the dispersion of particles. The results show that the slight variation of the Lagrangian integral time scale has little influence on the dispersion. The agreement between results of the model equation and those of DNS is satisfactory except the streamwise dispersion for intermediate times （ 20 〈 t^＋〈 300 ）, where the results of the model equation are slightly overestimated compared to those of DNS. The cause of such discrepancy is discussed.

A New Method to Locate the Region of Interest( ROI) of Palmprint

Biometric identification was a kind of identity recognition technology by making use of the human's unique physiological or behavioral characteristics,it provided a high reliability and stability way for the identification. Global threshold binarization palmprint image is used in this paper,and the bio-morphological methods are used to get the sensitive area of palmprint image's positioning point,so as to extract the region of interest. The palmprint collection is realized on the FPGA chip,and this kind of collection method uses the DSP Builder toolbox to realize visual programming in Matlab / Simulink and achieve fast modeling and development. The practice proves that this method is simple,flexible and its equipment is portable and fast.

Large scale utilization is still an urgent problem for waste red mud with a high content of alkaline metal component in the *** ores especially the saprolitic laterite ore are one refractory nickel resource,the nickel and iron of which can be effectively recovered by direct reduction and magnetic *** metal salts were usually added to enhance reduction of laterite *** feasibility of co-reduction roasting of a saprolitic laterite ore and red mud was *** show that the red mud addition promoted the reduction of the saprolitic laterite ore and the iron ores in the red mud were co-reduced and *** adding 35wt%red mud,the nickel grade and recovery were 4.90wt%and 95.25wt%,and the corresponding iron grade and total recovery were 71.00wt%and 93.77wt%,*** X-ray diffraction（XRD）,scanning electron microscopy,and energy dispersive spectroscopy（SEM-EDS）analysis results revealed that red mud addition was helpful to increase the liquid phase and ferronickel grain *** chemical compositions＂Ca O and Na_2O＂in the red mud replaced Fe O to react with Si O_2 and Mg Si O_3 to form augite.

Objectness Region Enhancement Networks for Scene Parsing

Semantic segmentation has recently witnessed rapid progress, but existing methods only focus on identifying objects or instances. In this work, we aim to address the task of semantic understanding of scenes with deep learning. Different from many existing methods, our method focuses on putting forward some techniques to improve the existing algorithms, rather than to propose a whole new framework. Objectness enhancement is the first effective technique. It exploits the detection module to produce object region proposals with category probability, and these regions are used to weight the parsing feature map directly. 'Extra background' category, as a specific category, is often attached to the category space for improving parsing result in semantic and instance segmentation tasks. In scene parsing tasks, extra background category is still beneficial to improve the model in training. However, some pixels may be assigned into this nonexistent category in inference. Black-hole filling technique is proposed to avoid the incorrect classification. For verifying these two techniques, we integrate them into a parsing framework for generating parsing result. We call this unified framework as Objectness Enhancement Network (OENet). Compared with previous work, our proposed OENet system effectively improves the performance over the original model on SceneParse150 scene parsing dataset, reaching 38.4 mIoU (mean intersection-over-union) and 77.9% accuracy in the validation set without assembling multiple models. Its effectiveness is also verified on the Cityscapes dataset.

Effects of logjams on river hydrodynamics under inundation conditions

Large wood in rivers can lead to accumulations in the river channel, affecting local flow structures, aquatic habitats, and the river’s topography. This plays a crucial role in the ecological restoration of the river. This paper presents flow field measurements downstream of six types of logjams at different flow velocities using acoustic Doppler velocimetry (ADV) for artificially designed engineered logjams. The results indicate that the presence of logjams reduces the flow velocity and increases the turbulent kinetic energy in the wake region, and as the distance downstream increases, the flow velocity and turbulence intensity in the wake region gradually return to the upstream level. The minimum values of normalized flow velocity under different conditions are located in the region of the bottommost logs. The differences in normalized flow velocity at various flow rates are not significant. Jets are less likely to be generated in logjams with larger and more concentrated projection areas, but the strength of the jet is influenced by the physical structure of the logjam (projection area, gap ratio). The flow distribution behind the logjam is primarily influenced by the proportion of the projected area in different regions. Changes in the vertical physical structure of the logjam have minimal effect on the lateral flow distribution. Flow velocity in the gap area (b0) at the bottom of different logjams is influenced by their physical structure. The larger the overall blockage area of the logjams, the larger the flow velocity in the bottom gap area will be. The flow velocity in the bottom gap area of a densely placed logjam is mainly influenced by the gap ratio. The velocity of flow in the gap area can impact the initiation and deposition of sediment near the logjam. However, the internal structure complexity of the logjam does not significantly affect river energy dissipation and flow attenuation. A triangular memory polynomial （TMP） predistorter is presented in this paper to linearize a power amplifier＇s nonlinear with memory effects. Compared with the traditional memory polynomial （MP） predistorter, the coefficients of TMP predistorter is reduced more than 75%, which can effectively decrease the implementation complexity. The coefficients of predistorter are directly extracted from an offline system identification process by an open-loop structure in our approach. Several signals with data rate 5 MHz, 10 MHz, 15 MHz and 20 MHz are used to verify the performance of the proposed predistorter. Experimental results show that the proposed TMP predistorter and the traditional MP predistorter almost have the same performance.
