Airblasts,as one common phenomenon accompanied by rapid movements of landslides or rock/snow avalanches,commonly result in catastrophic damages and are attracting more and more scientific *** quantitatively analyze the intensity of airblast initiated by landslides,the wangjiayan landslide,occurred in the Wenchuan earthquake,is selected here with the landslide propagation and airblast evolution being studied using FLUENT by introducing the Voellmy rheological *** results reveal that:(1)For the wangjiayan landslide,its whole travelling duration is only 12 s with its maximum velocity reaching 36 m/s at t=10 s;(2)corresponding to the landslide propagation,the maximum velocity,28 m/s,of the airblast initiated by the landslide also appears at t=10 s with its maximum pressure reaching594.8 Pa,which is equivalent to violent storm;(3)under the attack of airblast,the load suffered by buildings in the airblast zone increases to 1300 Pa at t=9.4 s and sharply decreased to-7000 Pa as the rapid decrease of the velocity of the sliding mass at t=10 s,which is seriously unfavorable for buildings and might be the key reason for the destructive collapse of buildings in the airblast zone of the wangjiayan landslide.

BACKGROUND Transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)combined with microwave ablation(MWA)is an effective treatment strategy for patients with advanced gastric cancer and liver ***,it may cause severe postoperative pain and inflammatory *** paravertebral block(PVB)is a regional anesthetic technique that provides analgesia to the thoracic and abdominal *** To evaluate the effect of PVB on postoperative analgesia and inflammatory response in patients undergoing TACE combined with MWA for advanced gastric cancer and liver *** Sixty patients were randomly divided into PVB and control *** PVB group received ultrasound-guided PVB with 0.375%ropivacaine preoperatively,whereas the control group received intravenous analgesia with *** primary outcome was the visual analog scale(VAS)score for pain at 6 h,12 h,24 h,and 48 h after the *** outcomes were the dose of sufentanil used,incidence of adverse events,and levels of inflammatory markers(white blood cell count,neutrophil percentage,C-reactive protein,and procalcitonin)before and after the *** The PVB group had significantly lower VAS scores at 6 h,12 h,24 h,and 48 h after the procedure compared with the control group(P<0.05).The PVB group also had a significantly lower consumption of sufentanil and a lower incidence of nausea,vomiting,and respiratory depression than did the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the PVB group had significantly lower levels of inflammatory markers 24 h and 48 h after the procedure(P<0.05).CONCLUSION PVB can effectively reduce postoperative pain and inflammatory responses and improve postoperative comfort and recovery in patients with advanced gastric cancer and liver metastasis treated with TACE combined with MWA.

To characterize the Neumann problem for nonlinear Fokker-Planck equations,we investigate distribution dependent reflecting stochastic differential equations(DDRSDEs)in a *** first prove the well-posedness and establish functional inequalities for reflecting stochastic differential equations with singular drifts,and then extend these results to DDRSDEs with singular or monotone coefficients,for which a general criterion deducing the well-posedness of DDRSDEs from that of reflecting stochastic differential equations is established.

Suzhou City,located in the Yangtze River Delta in China,is prone to flooding due to a complex combination of natural factors,including its monsoon climate,low elevation,and tidally influenced position,as well as intensive human *** Large Encirclement Flood Control Project(LEFCP)was launched to cope with serious floods in the urban *** project changed the spatiotemporal pattern of flood processes and caused spatial diversion of floods from the urban area to the outskirts of the ***,this study developed a distributed flood simulation model in order to understand this transition of flood *** results revealed that the LEFCP effectively protected the urban areas from floods,but the present scheduling schemes resulted in the spatial diversion of floods to the outskirts of the *** rainstorm frequencies of 10.0%to 0.5%,the water level differences between two representative water level stations(Miduqiao(MDQ)and fengqiao(FQ))located inside and outside the LEFCP area,ranged from 0.75 m to 0.24 m and from 1.80 m to 1.58 m,*** addition,the flood safety margin at MDQ and the duration with the water level exceeding the warning water level at FQ ranged from 0.95 m to 0.43 m and from 4 h to 22 h,*** scheduling schemes for the hydraulic facilities of the LEFCP in extreme precipitation cases were developed ac-cording to food simulations under seven scheduling *** helps to regulate the spatial flood diversion caused by the LEFCP during extreme precipitation.

High-aspect-ratio metallic surface microstructures are increasingly demanded in breakthrough applications,such as high-performance heat transfer enhancement and surface plasmon ***,the fast and cost-effective fabrication of high-aspect-ratio microstructures on metallic surfaces remains challenging for existing *** study proposes a novel cutting-based process,namely elliptical vibration chiseling(EV-chiseling),for the high-efficiency texturing of surface microstructures with an ultrahigh aspect *** conventional cutting,EV-chiseling superimposes a microscale EV on a backward-moving *** tool chisels into the material in each vibration cycle to generate an upright chip with a high aspect ratio through material *** to the tool’s backward movement,the chip is left on the material surface to form a microstructure rather than falling *** one microstructure is generated in one vibration cycle,the process can be highly efficient using ultrafast(>1 kHz)tool vibration.A finite element analysis model is established to explore the process mechanics of ***,a mechanistic model of the microstructured surface generation is developed to describe the microstructures’aspect ratio dependency on the process ***,surface texturing tests are performed on copper to verify the efficacy of *** micro ribs with a spacing of 1–10μm and an aspect ratio of 2–5 have been successfully textured on *** with the conventional EV-cutting that uses a forward-moving tool,EV-chiseling can improve the aspect ratio of textured microstructure by up to 40 *** experimental results also verify the accuracy of the developed surface generation model of ***,the effects of elliptical trajectory,depth of cut,tool shape,and tool edge radius on the surface generation of micro ribs have been discussed.

Advancing and deploying the Fe Ni-based catalyst,the state-of-the-art pre-electrocatalysts,for oxygen evolution reactions(OER)still suffer from unclear chemical state correlation to the catalytic ability,as evidenced by the variedly reported performance for the different Fe Ni ***,we contributed the phase and redox chemical states tuning of Fe Ni oxides by the surface microenvironment regulation for the OER catalysis that was realized by the urea-assisted pyrolysis and molybdenum-doping technique by integrating molybdenum into the iron–nickel metal-organic *** by the complicated and compromised atmosphere,namely,the oxidation state driven by the Mo doping and reduction ability induced by the urea-assisted pyrolysis,could transfer confined Fe Ni oxides to hybrid phases of Fe_(2)O_(3)and FeNi_(3)alloy,and the resultant compromised chemical states by the charge redistribution imparted very high electrocatalytic performance for OER compared with the control *** insitu Raman spectroscopy and post-XPS analysis confirmed the facile Fe/Ni oxyhydroxide active phase formation resulting from the proper phase and chemical states,and theoretical analysis disclosed the microenvironment regulation resulting in the charge redistribution forming the electron accumulation and depletion sites to accelerate the oxygen-species to oxyhydroxide-species transformation and enhance the electronic state density near the Fermi level by significantly reducing the energy *** work not only showed the importance of surface chemical state tunning that can basically answer the varied performance of Fe Ni catalysts but also revealed an effective approach for fine-tuning their catalytic properties.
