Numerical Simulation of the Mass Movement Process of the 2018 Sedongpu Glacial Debris Flow by Using the Fluid-Solid Coupling Method

In the context of global warming and intensified human activities,glacier instability in plateau regions has increased,and glacier debris flows have become active,which poses a significant threat to the lives and property of people and socioeconomic *** mass movement process of glacier debris flows is extremely complex,so this paper uses the 2018 Sedongpu glacier debris flow event on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau as an example and applies a numerical simulation method to invert the whole process of mass *** view of the interaction between phases in the process of motion,we use the fluid-solid coupling method to describe the mass *** granular-flow model and drift-flux model are employed in FLOW3D software to study the mass movement process of glacier debris flows and explore their dynamic *** results indicate that the glacier debris flow lasted for 700 s,and the movement process was roughly divided into four stages,including initiation,scraping,surging and deposition;the depositional characteristics calculated by the fluid-solid coupling model are consistent with the actual survey results and have good reliability;strong erosion occurs during the mass movement,the clear volume amplification effect,and the first wave climbs 17.8 m across the *** fluid-solid coupling method can better simulate glacier debris flows in plateau regions,which is helpful for the study of the mechanism and dynamic characteristics of such disasters.

An analysis of F-doping in Li-rich cathodes

Li-rich materials,due to their high capacity(>250 mAh·g^(-1)),have recently been considered as an alternative to the current generation of cathode materials for Li-ion batteries(LIBs).However,their inferior cycling stability limits their practical *** is a common technique to solve this ***,anion doping remains relatively ***(F)is one of the most effective anion dopants owning to the improved capacity,cycling stability,and rate performance in *** explanations and experimental results,however,vary significantly from study to ***,we find that bulk F-doping significantly improves both rate performance and cycling stability,likely driven by charge compensation and greater ***,bulk F-doping occasionally improves capacity via enhanced activation and occasionally decreases capacity by preventing activation from *** F-doping has similar effects to bulk F-doping on capacity and stability,while significantly hindering the rate ***,the improvements in surface-doped materials do not appear to be a result of specific surface modification,and instead can be ascribed to the effect of fluorine on the near-surface bulk *** understanding of fluo-rine's influence on activation,in particular,is required to unlock the full potential of synergistic cation/anion co-doping.

A virtual service placement approach based on improved quantum genetic algorithm

Despite the critical role that middleboxes play in introducing new network functionality,management and innovation of them are still severe challenges for network operators,since traditional middleboxes based on hardware lack service flexibility and ***,though new networking technologies,such as network function virtualization(NFV) and softwaredefined networking(SDN),are considered as very promising drivers to design cost-efficient middlebox service architectures,how to guarantee transmission efficiency has drawn little attention under the condition of adding virtual service process for ***,we focus on the service deployment problem to reduce the transport delay in the network with a combination of NFV and ***,a framework is designed for service placement decision,and an integer linear programming model is proposed to resolve the service placement and minimize the network transport *** a heuristic solution is designed based on the improved quantum genetic *** results show that our proposed method can calculate automatically the optimal placement *** scheme can achieve lower overall transport delay for a network compared with other schemes and reduce 30% of the average traffic transport delay compared with the random placement scheme.

Behavior of liquid passing through deadman:influence of slag/iron ratio and unburned pulverized coal

The ability of a blast furnace hearth liquid(iron and slag)passing through deadman characterizes the activity of the blast furnace *** explore the influence of various factors on the static holdup rate of liquid in the process of passing through the deadman,a physical transport model of liquid passing through the deadman was firstly ***,a self-designed experimental device was used to simulate the process,and the influences of slag/iron ratios(250–450 kg/t)and unburned coal content(0%–9%)on the static holdup rate were *** experimental results indicate that with the slag/iron ratio increasing,the behavior of liquid passing through the coke packed bed gets much more difficult,and the static holdup rate *** the content of unburned pulverized coal(UPC)increases,the static holdup rate decreases first and then *** is caused by the dual effects of *** the one hand,UPC can promote the carburizing reaction of unsaturated molten iron,thereby improving the fluidity of molten iron and reducing the static holdup *** the other hand,when the content of UPC rises to a certain level,it will be regarded as a kind of solid particle which will increase the liquid viscosity,causing an increase in the static holdup ***,the liquid and coke will present interfacial chemical reactions when the liquid flows through the coke packed *** the Si-containing iron droplets at the slag–coke interface,generated by the reaction of SiO_(2)with C in the coke,can improve the interface wettability by reducing the interface wetting angle and increase the basicity of slag by consuming SiO_(2),thus improving the fluidity of the liquid and reducing the static holdup rate.

The role of tungsten-related elements for improving the electrochemical performances of cathode materials in lithium ion batteries

Lithium ion batteries using Ni-Co-Mn ternary oxide materials(NCMs)and Ni-Co-Al materials(NCAs)as the cathode materials are dominantly employed to power the electric vehicles(EVs).Increasing the driving range of EVs necessitates an increase of Ni content to improve the energy densities,which,however,degrades the cycle *** we review the doping/coating of tungsten and related elements to improve the electrochemical performance of these cathodes especially the cycle *** selection of tungsten and related elements is based on their special properties including the high valence state,strong bonding with oxygen and the large ionic *** improvement of cycle stability mainly results from two features:(1)the enhancement of bulk structure stability upon doping(Mo,W,Ta,Nb)and(2)the resistance of side reactions of electrode/electrolyte by the surficial layer induced by direct coating(V,W,Nb)or bulk *** the recent high Ni materials,the formation of Ni2+and its migration to the Li layer induced by these doped/coated tungsten-related elements,and the presence of spinel or rock-salt phase before cycling contributes to improving the cycle *** key challenges are the selection of an optimized additive concentration and the fundamental understanding of the reaction mechanism,which will provide insightful guidance for maximizing the electrochemical performance of the state-of-the-art lithium-ion batteries at minimal additional process costs.

Optimizing aerobic biodegradation of dichloromethane using response surface methodology

Response surface methodology （RSM） was employed to evaluate the optimum aerobic biodegradation of dichloromethane （DCM） in pure culture. The parameters investigated include the initial DCM concentration, glucose as an inducer and hydrogen peroxide as terminal electron acceptor （TEA）. Maximum aerobic biodegradation efficiency was predicted to occur when the initial DCM concentration was 380 mg/L, glucose 13.72 mg/L, and H202 115 mg/L. Under these conditions the aerobic biodegradation rate reached up to 93.18%, which was significantly higher than that obtained under original conditions. Without addition of glucose degradation efficiencies were ≤ 80% at DCM concentrations ≤ 326 mg/L. When concentrations of DCM were more than 480 rag/L, the addition of hydrogen peroxide did not help to significantly increase DCM degradation efficiency. When DCM concentrations increased from 240 to 480 rag/L, the overall DCM degradation efficiency decreased from 91% to 60% in the presence of HaO2 for 120 mg/L.

AIM： To investigate the functional networks underlying the brain-activity changes of patients with high myopia using the voxel-wise degree centrality（DC） ***： In total, 38 patients with high myopia（HM）（17 males and 21 females）, whose binocular refractive diopter were-6.00 to-7.00 D, and 38 healthy controls（17 males and 21 females）, closely matched in age, sex, and education levels, participated in the study. Spontaneous brain activities were evaluated using the voxel-wise DC method. The receiver operating characteristic curve was measured to distinguish patients with HM from healthy controls. Correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between the observed mean DC values of the different brain areas and the behavioral ***： Compared with healthy controls, HM patients had significantly decreased DC values in the right inferior frontal gyrus/insula, right middle frontal gyrus, and right supramarginal/inferior parietal lobule（P〈0.05）. In contrast, HM patients had significantly increased DC values in the right cerebellum posterior lobe, left precentral gyrus/postcentral gyrus, and right middle cingulate gyrus（P〈0.05）. However, no relationship was found between the observed mean DC values of the different brain areas and the behavioral performance（P〉0.05）.CONCLUSION： HM is associated with abnormalities in many brain regions, which may indicate the neural mechanisms of HM. The altered DC values may be used as a useful biomarker for the brain activity changes in HM patients.

The prognostic value of lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio in retinopathy of prematurity

AIM： To evaluate the associations between development of retinopathy of prematurity（ROP） and serum lymphocyteto-monocyte ratio（LMR）, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio（NLR）, and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio（PLR）. METHODS： A retrospective cohort study was performed, involving infants who were screened for ROP from January 2015 to December 2015. Preterm newborns of ≤32 gestational weeks with ROP were enrolled as the observation group, and non-ROP infants were enrolled as the control group, whose complete blood cell were measured within the first 24 h of life. The levels of NLR, LMR and PLR were determined in all groups. The data obtained were analyzed using univariate and multivariate logistic regression ***： In this study, 40 cases of ROP were enrolled and 40 cases of non-ROP as controls. The LMR levels were significantly higher（P〈0.001） in ROP group（3.96±1.16） compared to non-ROP group（2.85±0.79）. The NLR levels were significantly lower（P=0.035） in ROP group {median [interquartile range（IQR）], 0.88（0.67-1.46）} compared to non-ROP group [median（IQR）, 1.20（0.85-1.89）]. The median PLR values were 61.99（IQR, 50.23-75.98） in ROP group and 69.24（IQR, 55.52-88.12） in non-ROP group（P=0.104）. Logistic regression analysis suggested that LMR was an independent risk factor for ROP（OR： 0.275; 95% CI： 0.134-0.564; P=0.001）. CONCLUSION： The findings demonstrate that higher LMR is independently and significantly associated with the development of ROP, and the LMR may be invoked as a predictive tool for identifying risk for ROP.

A global review of acupuncture and moxibustion recommendations in guidelines/expert consensus for chemotherapy-and/or radiotherapy-induced nausea and/or vomiting

Objective:To summarize and analyze the recommendations of acupuncture and moxibustion in the global guidelines/expert consensus of chemotherapy-and/or radiotherapy-induced nausea and/or vomiting,providing a basis for the development of clinical practice guidelines on acupuncture and moxibustion for chemotherapy-and/or radiotherapy-induced nausea and/or ***:We systematically searched 7 comprehensive databases,7 guideline libraries and 4 websites of societies/*** retrieval period was from the inception to April 1,*** researchers independently screened the literature,extracted data,and used the Scientific,Transparent,and Applicable Rankings(STAR)tool to evaluate the quality of guidelines/expert consensus that contained acupuncture and moxibustion recommendations,and analyzed acupuncture and moxibustion recommendations in guidelines/expert consensus and their evidence ***:A total of 56 guidelines/expert consensus related to the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-and/or radiotherapy-induced nausea and/or vomiting were included,and 22 guidelines/expert consensus contained acupuncture and moxibustion recommendations,with a total of 34 recommendations on acupuncture and moxibustion(27 supports,4 neutrals,3 objections).The STAR evaluation(excluding 1 patient version of guideline)showed that none of the guidelines/expert consensus was with high quality,95.24%(20/21)with medium quality,and 4.76%(1/21)with low *** there were many recommendations of acupuncture and moxibustion in the existing guidelines/expert consensus,there was great heterogeneity among the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment ***,most of the guidelines/expert consensus did not describe the details of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment regimens,such as acupuncture and moxibustion manipulation,acupoint selection,course and timing of treatment,which is difficult to guide the clinical practice of acupuncture and ***:De
