Efficient removal of non-biodegradable and hazardous dyes from wastewater remains a hot research ***,a rationally designed a Cu(Ⅱ)-based metal–organic gel(Cu-MOG)with a nanoporous 3 D network structure prepared via a simple one-step mixing method was successfully employed for the removal of cationic *** Cu-MOG exhibited high efficiency,with an adsorption capacity of up to 650.32 mg/g,and rapid adsorption efficiency,with the ability to adsorb 80%of Neutral Red within 1 *** high adsorption efficiency was attributed to its large specific surface area,which enabled it to massively bind cationic dyes through electrostatic interaction,and a nanoporous structure that promoted intra-pore ***,the Cu-MOG displayed size-selective adsorption,based on adsorption studies concerning dyes of different sizes as calculated by density functional ***,the adsorption performance of the Cu-MOG still maintained removal efficiency of 100%after three regeneration *** results suggested that the Cu-MOG could be expected to be a promising and competitive candidate to conveniently process wastewater.

Geochemical and Geological Characterization of Marine-Continental Transitional Shale: A Case Study in the Ordos Basin, NW China

The organic-rich shale of the Shanxi and Taiyuan Formation of the Lower Permian deposited in a marinecontinental transitional environment are well developed in the Ordos Basin,NW China,which is considered to contain a large amount of shale hydrocarbon *** study takes the Lower Permian Shanxi and Taiyuan shale collected from well SL~# in the Ordos Basin,NW China as an example to characterize the transitional shale *** on organic geochemistry data,X-ray diffraction(XRD)analysis,field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)observations,the desorbed gas contents of this transitional shale were systematically studied and the shale gas potential was *** results indicate that the Lower Permian Shanxi and Taiyuan shale has a relatively high total organic carbon(TOC)(average TOC of 4.9%)and contains type III kerogen with a high mature to over mature *** analyses show that an important characteristic of the shale is that clay and brittle minerals of detrital origin comprise the major mineral composition of the marine-continental transitional shale samples,while the percentages of carbonate minerals,pyrite and siderite are relatively ***-SEM observations reveal that the mineral matrix pores are the most abundant in the Lower Permian shale samples,while organic matter(OM)pores are rarely *** analysis suggests that the mineral compositions mainly govern the macropore development in the marine-continental transitional shale,and mineral matrix pores and microfractures are considered to provide space for gas storage and *** addition,the desorption experiments demonstrated that the marine-continental transitional shale in the Ordos Basin has a significantly potential for shale gas exploration,ranging from 0.53 to 2.86 m^3/t with an average value of 1.25m^3/t,which is in close proximity to those of terrestrial shale(1.29 m^3/t)and marine shale(1.28 m^3/t).In summary,these results demonstrated that the L

BACKGROUND Gastric bronchogenic cysts(BCs)are extremely rare cystic masses caused by abnormal development of the respiratory system during the embryonic *** bronchial cysts are rare lesions first reported in 1956;as of 2019,only 37 cases are available in the MEDLINE/PubMed online *** usually have no clinical symptoms in the early stage,and their imaging findings also lack ***,they are difficult to diagnose before histopathological *** SUMMARY A 55-year-old woman presented at our hospital with intermittent epigastric *** had a slightly high level of serum carbohydrate antigen 72-4(CA 72-4).Endoscopic ultrasound found that a cystic mass originated from the submucosa of the posterior gastric wall near the cardia,indicating a diagnosis of cystic hygroma of the ***,a computed tomography scan demonstrated a quasi-circular cystic mass closely related to the lesser curvature of the gastric fundus with a low *** the imaging examinations did not suggest a malignancy and the patient required complete resection,she underwent laparoscopic *** an intraoperative finding,this cystic lesion was located in the posterior wall of the fundus and contained some yellow viscous ***,the pathologists verified that the cyst in the fundus was a gastric *** patient recovered well with normal CA 72-4 levels,and her course was uneventful at 10 *** This is a valuable report as it describes an extremely rare case of gastric ***,this is the first case of BC to present with elevated CA 72-4 levels.

Laser speckle contrast imaging(LSCI)is a powerful tool to monitor blood flow distribution and has been widely used in studies of microcirculation,both for animal and clinical ***,LSCI usually works on reflectivedetected ***,it could provide promising temporal and spatial resolution for in vivo applications only with the assistance of various tissue windows,otherwise,the overlarge superficial static speckle would extremely limit its contrast and ***,we systematically investigated the capability of transmissive-detected LSCI(TR-LSCI)for blood flow monitoring in thick *** Monte Carlo simulation,we theoretically compared the performance of transmissive and reflective *** was found that the reflective-detected mode was better when the target layer was at the very surface,but the imaging quality would rapidly decrease with imaging depth,while the transmissivedetected mode could obtain a much stronger signal-to-background ratio(SBR)for thick *** further proved by tissue phantom,animal,and human experiments that in a certain thickness of tissue,TR-LSCI showed remarkably better performance for thick-tissue imaging,and the imaging quality would be further improved if the use of longer wavelengths of near-infrared ***,both theoretical and experimental results demonstrate that TR-LSCI is capable of obtaining thick-tissue blood flow information and holds great potential in the field of microcirculation research.

Our previous studies showed that miR-23b was downregulated in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH). This indicates that miR-23b may be closely related to the patho-physiological mechanism of ICH, but this hypothesis lacks direct evidence. In this study, we established rat models of ICH by injecting collagenase Ⅶ into the right basal ganglia and treating them with an injection of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell(BMSC)-derived exosomal miR-23b via the tail vein. We found that edema in the rat brain was markedly reduced and rat behaviors were improved after BMSC exosomal miR-23b injection compared with those in the ICH groups. Additionally, exosomal miR-23b was transported to the microglia/macrophages, thereby reducing oxidative stress and pyroptosis after ICH. We also used hemin to mimic ICH conditions in vitro. We found that phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome 10(PTEN) was the downstream target gene of miR-23b, and exosomal miR-23b exhibited antioxidant effects by regulating the PTEN/Nrf2 pathway. Moreover, miR-23b reduced PTEN binding to NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3) and NLRP3 inflammasome activation, thereby decreasing the NLRP3-dependent pyroptosis level. These findings suggest that BMSC-derived exosomal miR-23b exhibits antioxidant effects through inhibiting PTEN and alleviating NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated pyroptosis, thereby promoting neurologic function recovery in rats with ICH.

Transformers have been widely studied in many natural language processing (NLP) tasks, which can capture the dependency from the whole sentence with a high parallelizability thanks to the multi-head attention and the position-wise feed-forward network. However, the above two components of transformers are position-independent, which causes transformers to be weak in modeling sentence structures. Existing studies commonly utilized positional encoding or mask strategies for capturing the structural information of sentences. In this paper, we aim at strengthening the ability of transformers on modeling the linear structure of sentences from three aspects, containing the absolute position of tokens, the relative distance, and the direction between tokens. We propose a novel bidirectional Transformer with absolute-position aware relative position encoding (BiAR-Transformer) that combines the positional encoding and the mask strategy together. We model the relative distance between tokens along with the absolute position of tokens by a novel absolute-position aware relative position encoding. Meanwhile, we apply a bidirectional mask strategy for modeling the direction between tokens. Experimental results on the natural language inference, paraphrase identification, sentiment classification and machine translation tasks show that BiAR-Transformer achieves superior performance than other strong baselines.

The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)-associated protein 9(CRISPR-Cas9) system provides a novel genome editing technology that can precisely target a genomic site to disrupt or repair a specific gene. Some CRISPR-Cas9 systems from different bacteria or artificial variants have been discovered or constructed by biologists, and Cas9 nucleases and single guide RNAs(sgRNA) are the major components of the CRISPR-Cas9 system. These Cas9 systems have been extensively applied for identifying therapeutic targets, identifying gene functions, generating animal models, and developing gene ***, CRISPR-Cas9 systems have been used to partially or completely alleviate disease symptoms by mutating or correcting related genes. However, the efficient transfer of CRISPR-Cas9 system into cells and target organs remains a challenge that affects the robust and precise genome editing activity. The current review focuses on delivery systems for Cas9 mRNA, Cas9 protein, or vectors encoding the Cas9 gene and corresponding sgRNA. Non-viral delivery of Cas9 appears to help Cas9 maintain its on-target effect and reduce off-target effects, and viral vectors for sgRNA and donor template can improve the efficacy of genome editing and homology-directed repair. Safe, efficient, and producible delivery systems will promote the application of CRISPR-Cas9 technology in human gene therapy.

Apatite ceramics Ca10(PO4)6 X2(X=F,OH)were prepared by the standard solid state sintering method and irradiated with he ions under a fluence of 5×10^16 ions/cm^2 at 450℃.Irradiation induced formation and growth of the he bubbles were observed by a transmission electron *** Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 and fluoroapatite Ca10(PO4)6 F2 with different he bubble morphologies indicate the influence of OH^-/F^-substitution on the he-ion annealing efficiency,as well as the structure itself,which affects the process of he bubble evolution and *** grain boundaries also act as sinks to accumulate he *** obvious irradiation damage but slight intensity reduction and left shift of diffraction peaks were observed according to the grazing incidence x-ray diffraction and Raman spectra characterizations,indicating that defects of interstitials and vacancies were generated.

Maternal sleep deprivation(MSD)has emerged as a significant public health concern,yet its effects on offspring metabolism remain poorly *** study investigated the metabolomic implications of MSD on offspring cognitive development,with a particular focus on alterations in glutamate *** rats were subjected to sleep deprivation during late *** and brain samples from their offspring were collected at different postnatal days(P1,P7,P14,and P56)and analyzed using untargeted metabolomics with liquid chromatography-mass *** analysis revealed significant differences in various amino acids,including L-glutamate,L-phenylalanine,L-tyrosine,and L-tryptophan,which are crucial for cognitive *** differential analysis and partial least squares discriminant analysis(sPLS-DA)demonstrated a gradual reduction in these metabolic differences in the brain as the offspring underwent growth and *** pathway analysis revealed differential regulation of several pathways,including alanine,aspartate,and glutamate metabolism,glutathione metabolism,arginine biosynthesis,aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis,histidine metabolism,and taurine and hypotaurine metabolism,at different developmental *** and Spearman analyses indicated that the observed changes in metabolites in MSD progeny may be related to various gut microbes,Ruminococcus_1,Ruminococcaceae_UCG-005,and Eubacterium_coprostanoligenes_*** assays further demonstrated developmental changes in the L-glutamate metabolic ***,these findings suggest that MSD not only affects maternal wellbeing but also has enduring metabolic consequences for offspring,particularly impacting pathways linked to cognitive *** highlights the importance of addressing maternal sleep health to mitigate potential long-term consequences for offspring.
