Laguerre geometry of surfaces in R^3 is given in the book of Blaschke, and has been studied by Musso and Nicolodi, Palmer, Li and Wang and other authors. In this paper we study Laguerre minimal surface in 3-dimensional Euclidean space R^3. We show that any Laguerre minimal surface in R^3 can be constructed by using at most two holomorphic functions. We show also that any Laguerre minimal surface in R^3 with constant Laguerre curvature is Laguerre equivalent to a surface with vanishing mean curvature in the 3-dimensional degenerate space R0^3.

Intergenric protoplast fusion between Aspergillus terreus CA99 and Monascus anka M-3, the high and low producers of monacolin K respectively,was performed for enhancement of monacolin K production. The 24-hour-old mycelia of A. terreus CA99 and M. anka M-3 were treated with 0.5% lywallzyme, 0.3% snailase and 0.3% cellulase at 34℃ for 5 h and at 30℃ for 3.5 h, and their protoplasts formation reached 1.76×107/mL and 1.68×107/mL respectively. Parental protoplasts were irradiated with a 30 W UV light away from 30 cm for 3 min and then mixed. The mixture was incubated with 30% PEG 6000 for 15 min. The reviving fusants were isolated on the regeneration plates. Of the 363 fusants isolated, over 100 showed enhanced monacolin K production compared with the parental strain M. anka M-3. Ten of them produced monacolin K about 1.6-fold of that *** M-3 does and the monacolin K titer of two fusants (F49 and F104) increased by about 1-fold. The monacolin K yields of F49 and F104 were 460 μg/mL and 457 μg/mL respectively. In optimized fermentation medium, the monacolin K titer of F49 reached 1216 μg/mL.

Helium transport through nanoscale inorganic mineral pores and pore throats is essential for its overall *** elucidate helium's transport dynamics within nanopores,we employed equilibrium and non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations to investigate helium's static self-diffusion and pressure-driven flow in quartz slit-shaped *** also introduced water and various gases,including hydrogen,methane,ethane,nitrogen,and carbon dioxide,into the nanopores to assess their influence on helium *** findings indicate minimal helium adsorption on quartz pore *** conditions where the pore size is less than 5 nm and the pressure under 10 MPa,environmental factors markedly influence helium *** pore sizes,high temperatures,and low gas pressures enhance helium desorption and facilitate faster *** observed a positive correlation between helium flow velocity and factors such as pore size,pressure gradient,and surface smoothness of the ***,the presence of pore water and carrier gases in quartz nanopores,which diffuse more slowly than helium,tends to reduce helium surface adsorption and slow its *** the carrier gases studied,nitrogen showed similar adsorption capacity,diffusivity,and stability to helium,while carbon dioxide displayed the highest adsorption capacity and the slowest diffusion rate,markedly differing from *** on the simulation results,we concluded that water and carrier gases primarily function as transport mediums in helium migration,moving together with ***,which shares similar properties with helium,effectively assists in this co-migration ***,carbon dioxide,due to its high adsorption capacity and slow diffusion,tends to be lost during *** a result,gas reservoirs with high nitrogen levels and low carbon dioxide levels are more likely to have higher helium ***,the smaller pore sizes and higher gas pressures in caproc

AIM:To explore the neuroprotective effects of high mobility group box 2(HMGB2)knockdown on retinal ganglion cells(RGCs)in the retinal ischemia-reperfusion injury(RIRI).METHODS:Oxygen-glucose deprivation(OGD)-injured RGCs from postnatal three-day C57BL/6 mice pups and high intraocular pressure(IOP)-induced RIRI mice were used as cellular and animal models of *** expression of HMGB2 in the retina of RIRI mice and OGD-injured RGCs was detected through reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)and Western *** effects of HMGB2 silencing on the morphological changes,RGCs survival,and cell apoptosis in mouse retinal tissues were observed through H&E staining,immunofluorescence staining with RNA-binding protein with multiple splicing(RBPMS)antibody,and TUNEL staining,*** viability and apoptosis were examined by CCK-8 and flow cytometry *** levels of proteins associated with NOD-like receptor thermal protein domain associated protein 3(NLRP3)-mediated pyroptosis[NLRP3,Caspase-1,GSDMD-N,interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-18]in vivo and in vitro were measured by Western ***:HMGB2 protein and NLRP3 were upregulated in the retina of RIRI mice and OGD-injured RGCs(P<0.001).The retina was edematous,accompanied by disorganized cell arrangement and decreased thickness of all layers,and obvious vacuoles in ganglion cell ***2 silencing alleviated the reduction in total retinal thickness and the severity of retinal tissue damage as well as suppressed RGC loss and retinal cell apoptosis in RIRI ***-induced RGC apoptosis was ameliorated after downregulation of HMGB2 in *** injection of the AAV-sh-HMGB2 and si-HMGB2 resulted in significantly decrease of NLRP3,Caspase-1,GSDMD-N,IL-1β,and IL-18 protein levels in the retinal tissues of RIRI mice and OGD-injured RGCs,respectively(all P<0.001).CONCLUSION:HMGB2 knockdown protects against RGC apoptosis and pyroptosis after RIRI through suppressing NLRP3 inflammasome activ

Identifying key nodes in complex networks is crucial for understanding and controlling their dynamics. Traditional centrality measures often fall short in capturing the multifaceted roles of nodes within these networks. The Page Rank algorithm, widely recognized for ranking web pages, offers a more nuanced approach by considering the importance of connected nodes. However, existing methods generally overlook the geometric properties of networks, which can provide additional insights into their structure and functionality. In this paper, we propose a novel method named Curv-Page Rank(C-PR), which integrates network curvature and Page Rank to identify influential nodes in complex networks. By leveraging the geometric insights provided by curvature alongside structural properties, C-PR offers a more comprehensive measure of a node's influence. Our approach is particularly effective in networks with community structures, where it excels at pinpointing bridge nodes critical for maintaining connectivity and facilitating information flow. We validate the effectiveness of C-PR through extensive experiments. The results demonstrate that C-PR outperforms traditional centrality-based and Page Rank methods in identifying critical nodes. Our findings offer fresh insights into the structural importance of nodes across diverse network configurations, highlighting the potential of incorporating geometric properties into network analysis.

　　5,15-Di-bithienyl porphyrin (1) and its Cu(Ⅱ), Zn (Ⅱ) complexes (2 and 3)[1] were polymerized according to Scheme 1 by chemical oxidation using FeCl3 as oxidant for making organic conductor, and the linear porphyrin-thiophene copolymers were obtained. The structures of the copolymers were identified by elemental analysis and IR spectra. The conductivity of poly 5,15-di-bithienyl porphyrin (4) doped with FeCl3 was measured to reach over 10-6 S/cm, which was in the range of semiconductor and higher than that of other porphyrin-thiophene copolymers prepared by Shimidzu. The higher conductivity may be due to the better conjugation between the thienyl group and the porphyrin ring. The thienylporphyrins 7 and 8 could not be polymerized under the similar conditions, but could be polymerized by electrochemical oxidation (working electrode: gold-plate electrode; counter electrode: platinum; reference: standard calomel electrode SEC; solvent: 0.1 mol·dm-3 n-Bu4NClO4 in dry MeCN).……
