The sine oculis homeobox homolog(SIX)family,a group of transcription factors characterized by a conserved DNA-binding homology domain,plays a critical role in orchestrating embryonic development and organogenesis across various organisms,including *** six distinct members,from SIX1 to SIX6,each member contributes uniquely to the development and differentiation of diverse tissues and organs,underscoring the versatility of the SIX *** or mutations in SIX genes have been implicated in a spectrum of developmental disorders,as well as in tumor initiation and progression,highlighting their pivotal role in maintaining normal developmental trajectories and cellular *** to target the transcriptional complex of the SIX gene family have emerged as a promising strategy to inhibit tumor *** the development of inhibitors targeting this gene family is still in its early stages,the significant potential of such interventions holds promise for future therapeutic ***,this review aimed to comprehensively explore the advancements in understanding the SIX family within gastrointestinal cancers,focusing on its critical role in normal organ development and its implications in gastrointestinal cancers,including gastric,pancreatic,colorectal cancer,and hepatocellular *** conclusion,this review deepened the understanding of the functional roles of the SIX family and explored the potential of utilizing this gene family for the diagnosis,prognosis,and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers.

EFFECTS OF LIQUID COMPRESSIBILITY ON RADIAL OSCILLATIONS OF GAS BUBBLES IN LIQUIDS

For forced radial oscillations of gas bubbles in liquids, a more rigorous expression of the acoustic damping constant based on Keller＇s equation is developed. Comparison with those in published papers is also made. The expression offered in this paper will improve the predictions of total damping constant in particular for high frequencies and large bubbles, i.e., large ωR0 / c1 （ ω is the frequency of driving sound field, Ro is the equilibrium bubble radius, c1 is the sound speed in the liquid）. Examples in ultrasound imaging and acoustical oceanography are demonstrated.

De-noising of radiation pressure signal generated by bubble oscillation based on ensemble empirical mode decomposition

The radiation pressure signals generated by the bubble oscillation are often utilized to recognize the characteristics of the target objects in many ***,these signals are easily contaminated by complex background *** order to accurately extract the effective components of the radiation pressure signal generated by the bubble oscillation,this paper proposes a de-noising procedure for the radiation pressure signal,based on the ensemble empirical mode decomposition(EEMD),the autocorrelation function and the modified wavelet soft-threshold de-noising *** order to verify the effectiveness of the procedure,the typical radiation pressure signal generated based on the Keller-Miksis model under the acoustic excitation is employed for the subsequent de-noising *** results of the qualitative analysis show that the amplitude and the period of the bubble oscillation can be clearly observed in the time-domain diagram of the de-noised signal based on the *** the quantitative analysis,the de-noised signal based on the EEMD has better performance with higher signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),smaller root-mean-square error,and larger correlation coefficient than that based on the wavelet transform(WT)and the empirical mode decomposition(EMD).Furthermore,with the increase of the complexity of the radiation pressure signal(e.g.,the increase of the dimensionless pressure amplitude of the acoustic wave and the decrease of the SNR of the input signal),the above three evaluation indexes of the de-noised signal based on the EEMD are all better than those based on the other two *** the signal is more complex,the de-noising capabilities of the WT,the EMD are greatly reduced,but the EEMD can still maintain the good de-noising capability,which shows the superiority of the signal de-noising procedure proposed in the present paper.

Vibration isolation is one of the most efficient approaches to protecting host structures from harmful vibrations,especially in aerospace,mechanical,and architectural engineering,*** linear vibration isolation is hard to meet the requirements of the loading capacity and isolation band simultaneously,which limits further engineering application,especially in the low-frequency *** recent twenty years,the nonlinear vibration isolation technology has been widely investigated to broaden the vibration isolation band by exploiting beneficial *** of the most widely studied objects is the"three-spring"configured quasi-zero-stiffness(QZS)vibration isolator,which can realize the negative stiffness and high-static-low-dynamic stiffness(HSLDS)*** nonlinear vibration isolation with QZS can overcome the drawbacks of the linear one to achieve a better broadband vibration isolation *** to the characteristics of fast response,strong stroke,nonlinearities,easy control,and low-cost,the nonlinear vibration with electromagnetic mechanisms has attracted *** this review,we focus on the basic theory,design methodology,nonlinear damping mechanism,and active control of electromagnetic QZS vibration ***,we provide perspectives for further studies with electromagnetic devices to realize high-efficiency vibration isolation.

The present paper studies the influences of the bubble size distribution on the propagation of acoustic waves in dilute polydisperse bubbly liquids *** proposed approach is validated by using available experimental data in the *** is revealed that the bubble size distribution has impacts on both the wave speed and the wave ***,the minimum wave speed together with the corresponding frequency could be both significantly affected by the bubble size distribution (e.g.,the standard deviation).Furthermore,the maximum wave attenuation in the frequency response curve is also sensitive to the variations of the bubble size distribution.

The present paper presents comparisons of the vortex identification between the Omega method and the Q criterion based on the data of a classical *** the comparisons of the vortex structure together with the flow statistics,some important conclusions are drawn on the validity of the two methods,as *** Omega method can identify various kinds of vortices with different intensities(e.g.,the strong vortex,the medium vortex and the weak vortex).For the Q criterion,due to the subjective threshold selection,only the strong vortex with weak deformations could be ***,some emerging topics related with the advanced vortex identification methods are briefly discussed.

The expression of critical size of ferromagnetic microcrystal in an external magnetic field with an intensity of H is derived by means of comparing energies of domain structure *** ferromagnetic microcrystal here means an ferromagnetic single crystal with the size which is smaller than L0, and L0 is the critical value of the size of single-domain particles at the external magnetic field intensity H =***, the coercive strength H(Ls) relating to the size of microcrystal Ls is given and quantitatively evaluated with the material SmCo5 as an *** is thus concluded that if L0 ＞ Ls ＞ LC, the antimagnetization of microcrystal will be subjected to a multi-domain process just like the particles of a size greater than L0, only if Ls ＜ LC, the anti-magnetizaton will be carried on in accordance with the Stoner-Wohlforth mechanism( LC is the maximum size of microcrystal with MHcth ).It is suggested that the material RECo5 is available to make an advanced magnet with MHC = 2 K/Mc.

Interior non-uniformity of acoustically excited oscillating gas bubbles

In the present paper, the interior non-uniformity of oscillating gas bubbles in liquids under an acoustic field is theoretically investigated, as well as the temperature non-uniformity in the surrounding liquid. The pressure, the density and the temperature inside the gas bubbles are quantitatively predicted for a wide range of bubble Mach numbers. It is shown that the bubble interior non-uniformity increases significantly with the increase of the bubble Mach number. In the case of a large Mach number, the values of aforementioned paramount parameters at the bubble center are significantly larger than those at the bubble interface. Except for a very thin layer close to the bubble interface, the effects of the temperature non-uniformity in the bulk liquid could be safely ignored.

Phosphine-mediated enantioselective synthesis of carbocycles and heterocycles

Nucleophilic chiral phosphine catalysis has been prosperous in asymmetric synthesis over the past two decades. Various tunable chiral phosphines display excellent activity and selectivity in asymmetric transformations including acycloaddition reactions and cycloaddition reactions. Enantiomerically enriched cyclic compounds are ubiquitous in natural products and drug molecules. These phosphinecatalyzed reactions provide effective and extensive strategies for the synthesis of a series of complex cyclic compounds as well as the synthesis of chiral compounds which could be easily transformed to carbocycles and heterocycles. This minireview summarizes recent developments in this area and highlights meaningful breakthroughs.

Anti-angiogenesis in prostate cancer： knocked down but not out

Angiogenesis is a very complex physiological process, which involves multiple pathways that are dependent on the homeostatic balance between the growth factors （stimulators and inhibitors）. This tightly controlled process is stimulated by angiogenic factors, which are present within the tumor and surrounding tumor-associated stromal cells. The dependence of tumor propagation, invasion and metastasis on angiogenesis makes the inhibitors of new blood vessel formation attractive drugs for treating the malignancies. Angiogenesis can be disrupted by several distinct mechanisms： by inhibiting endothelial cells, by interrupting the signaling pathways or by inhibiting other activators of angiogenesis. This strategy has shown therapeutic benefit in several types of solid tumors, leading to Food and Drug Administration （FDA） approval of anti-angiogenic agents in the treatment of kidney, non-small cell lung, colon and brain cancers. Although no angiogenesis inhibitors have been approved for patients with metastatic prostate cancer, therapies that target new blood vessel formation are still an emerging and Dromising area of prostate cancer research.
