Green Fabrication of Underwater Superoleophobic Biopolymeric Nanofibrous Membranes for Effective Oil-Water Separation

Currently,most of the materials for oil-water separation membranes are limited to fluorine-based polymers with low surface ***,it is not biodegradable and requires large amounts of organic and toxic solvents in the membrane manufacturing ***,interest in the development of a new eco-friendly oil-water separation membrane that does not cause secondary pollution and exhibits selective wettability characteristics in water or oil is *** biopolymeric nanofibrous membranes inspired by fish skin can provide specific underwater oleophobicity,which is effective for excellent oil-water separation efficiency and prevention of secondary *** gelatin,which is highly soluble in water and has a low gelation temperature,can be electrospun in an aqueous solution and has the same polar functional groups as the hydrophilic mucilage of fish *** addition,the micro/nanostructure of fish skin,which induces superoleophobicity in water,introduces a bead-on-string structure using the Rayleigh instability of *** solubility of fish gelatin in water was removed using an eco-friendly crosslinking method using reducing *** skin-mimicking materials successfully separated suspended oil and emulsified oil,with a maximum flux of 2086 Lm^(−2) h^(−1) and a separation efficiency of more than 99%.The proposed biopolymeric nanofibrous membranes use fish gelatin,which can be extracted from fish waste and has excellent biodegradability with excellent oil-water separation *** addition,polymer material processing,including membrane manufacturing and crosslinking,can be realized through eco-friendly ***,fish skin-inspired biopolymeric membrane is expected to be a promising candidate for a sustainable and effective oil-water separation membrane in the future.

Effect of Palladium Nanoparticles on Photocatalytic Characteristics of N doped Titania Catalyst

To improve the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2nanotubular catalyst,N doped and Pd decorated titania nanotubes was successfully synthesized via anodizing,hydrazine hydrate treatment and photoreduction of Pd *** small Pd nanoparticles were precipitated on TiO2nanotubes through photoreduction of Pd ions,and its distribution is relatively *** X-ray photoelectron spectrometry（XPS） result,the N 1s spectrum represents two peaks with binding energy at 399.7 and 400.7 eV,which suggests that the nitrogen elements doped by hydrazine hydrate treatment are located in interstitial sites of the TiO2crystalline *** N doped TiO2nanotubes with Pd particles,a high photocurrent was detected due to increase of interface charge carrier separation ***,N doped and Pd decorated TiO2nanotubes exhibited much higher dye destruction efficiency and rate constant due to the synergistic effect of the N dopant and the Pd deposition on TiO2nanotubes.

The universality of the weak interactions can be tested in semileptonic b→c transitions,and in particular in the ratios R（D＊） ≡ Γ（B → D（＊）τν）/Γ（B → D＊lν）（where 1 = μ or e）.Due to the recent differences between the experimental measurements of these observables by Ba Bar,Belle and LHCb on the one hand and the Standard Model predicted values on the other hand,we study the predicted ratios R（D＊）=Γ（B→D＊τ＋＂missing＂）/Γ（B→D（＊）lν）in scenarios with an additional sterile heavy neutrino of mass ～1 Ge ***,we evaluate the newly defined ratio R（0）≡Γ（B→τ＋＂missing＂）/Γ（B→μν） in such scenarios,in view of the future possibilities of measuring the quantity at Belle-Ⅱ.

Nociceptive behavioural assessments in mouse models of temporomandibular joint disorders

Orofacial pain or tenderness is a primary symptom associated with temporomandibular joint(TMJ)disorders(TMDs).To understand the pathological mechanisms underlying TMDs,several mouse models have been developed,including mechanical stimulus-induced TMD and genetic mouse ***,a lack of feasible approaches for assessing TMD-related nociceptive behaviours in the orofacial region of mice has hindered the in-depth study of TMD-associated *** study aimed to explore modifications of three existing methods to analyse nociceptive behaviours using two TMD mouse models:(1)mechanical allodynia was tested using von Frey filaments in the mouse TMJ region by placing mice in specially designed chambers;(2)bite force was measured using the Economical Load and Force(ELF)system;and(3)spontaneous feeding behaviour tests,including eating duration and frequency,were analysed using the Laboratory Animal Behaviour Observation Registration and Analysis System(LABORAS).We successfully assessed changes in nociceptive behaviours in two TMD mouse models,a unilateral anterior crossbite(UAC)-induced TMD mouse model and aβ-catenin conditional activation mouse *** found that the UAC model andβ-catenin conditional activation mouse model were significantly associated with signs of increased mechanical allodynia,lower bite force,and decreased spontaneous feeding behaviour,indicating manifestations of *** behavioural changes were consistent with the cartilage degradation phenotype observed in these mouse *** studies have shown reliable methods to analyse nociceptive behaviours in mice and may indicate that these methods are valid to assess signs of TMD in mice.

N,P co-doped 3D porous carbon with self-assembled morphological control via template-free method for potassiumion battery anodes

The larger ionic radius of potassium ions than that of lithium ions significantly limits the accomplishment of rapid diffusion kinetics in graphite electrodes for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs),resulting in comparatively poor rate performance and cycle ***,we report a high-rate performance and cycling stability amorphous carbon electrode achieved through nitrogen and phosphorous *** as-prepared N,P co-doped carbon electrodes have distinct 3D structures with large surface areas,hierarchical pore architectures,and increased interlayer spaces resulting from the direct pyrolysis of supramolecular self-assembled aggregates without *** obtained electrode N3P1 exhibits a reversible specific capacity of 258 m Ah·g^(-1)at a current density of 0.1A·g^(-1)and a good long-term cycle performance(96.1%capacity retention after 800 cycles at 0.5 A·g^(-1)).Kinetic investigations show that the N3P1 electrode with the welldeveloped porous structure and large number of surface defects exhibits capacitive-driven behavior at all scan rates,which may be attributed by N and P ***-situ transmission electron microscopy analyses in the fully discharged and charged states demonstrate structural stability and reversibility owing to the expanded interlayer *** suggested synthesis approach is simple and effective for producing heteroatom-doped carbon materials for PIBs and other advanced electrochemical energy storage materials.

The effects of heat treatment conditions on the magnetic properties and microstructure of M-type strontium ferrite according to calcination temperature were *** ferrite Sr0.06Ca0.52La0.52Fe11.68Co0.22O19magnetic powder was prepared by a standard ceramic *** experiments,the calcination temperature was varied from 1180 to 1260℃,and sintering temperature was *** the M-phase(SrFe12O19)existed with hematite(Fe2 O3)in the powder calcined at below 1220℃,the pure M-phase was observed in the powder calcined at over1240℃.With an increase in the calcination temperature,the magnetization of the calcined powder increases,meanwhile,the coercivity *** magnetization is improved by decreasing the lattice constant c and activating the Fe3+-OFe3+superexchange interaction,and the coercivity decreases by the large particle sizes due to the grain growth.

CoS2,CoS 2-C60 /TiO2,CoS2-CNT/TiO2,and CoS2-Graphene/TiO2 were *** TiO2 products had the anatase phase structure and interesting surface compositions.X-ray diffraction patterns of the CoS2-carbon/TiO2 composites showed a single and clear anatase phase and the CoS2 *** electron microscopy characterization of the texture on the CoS 2-carbon/TiO2 composites showed a homogenous ***-dispersive X-ray spectra for elemental identification showed the presence of C and Ti with strong Co and S peaks from the CoS2-carbon/TiO2 *** composites obtained were also characterized by transmission electron microscopy and UV-Vis ***2-carbon/TiO2 composites showed excellent photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue under visible light *** was attributed to both photocatalysis on the TiO2 support and charge transfer by the carbon nanomaterial,and the introduction of CoS2 to enhance transfer of photogenerated electrons.

BACKGROUND Calcific tendinopathy denotes calcific deposits in a specific *** is also known as calcifying tendinitis,calcifying periarticulitis,or periarticular apatite deposition ***,extracorporeal shock wave therapy(ESWT)has been reported to be effective in relieving and treating pain in calcific *** SUMMARY A 36-year-old female patient suffered from left hip joint pain for six *** pain was increased during abduction of the hip,waking,and jumping.B-mode ultrasonography was performed by a physiatrist with an L12-5 linear transducer.A single session of ESWT was given in the marking area under ultrasound guidance at 4 Hz,2500 shots with intensity of stimulation using energy of 0.1 mJ/*** hip pain of the patient slowly decreased within 4 wk after starting the *** six weeks of ESWT,her hip pain was completely ***,the size of calcification showed almost no reduction in simple radiography at the final *** Ultrasonography is a very good modality not only for diagnosing calcified tendinitis by classical appearance,but also for evaluating the effect of ESWT during the follow-up period.
