Enhancing photosynthetic efficiency is a major goal for improving crop yields under agricultural field conditions and is associated with chloroplast biosynthesis and *** this study,we demonstrate that Golden2-like 1a(BnGLK1a)plays an important role in regulating chloroplast development and photosynthetic *** BnGLK1a resulted in significant increases in chlorophyll content,the number of thylakoid membrane layers and photosynthetic efficiency in Brassica napus,while knocking down BnGLK1a transcript levels through RNA interference(RNAi)had the opposite effects.A yeast two-hybrid screen revealed that BnGLK1a interacts with the abscisic acid receptor PYRABACTIN REsiSTANCE 1-LIKE 1-2(BnPYL1-2)and CONSTITUTIVE PHOTOMORPHOGENIC 9 siGNALOSOME 5A subunit(BnCSN5A),which play essential roles in regulating chloroplast development and *** with this,BnGLK1a-RNAi lines of *** display hypersensitivity to the abscisic acid(ABA)***,overexpression of BnGLK1a resulted in a 10%increase in thousand-seed weight,whereas seeds from BnGLK1a-RNAi lines were 16%lighter than wild *** propose that BnGLK1a could be a potential target in breeding for improving rapeseed *** results not only provide insights into the mechanisms of BnGLK1a function,but also offer a potential approach for improving the productivity of Brassica species.

Immediate Effect of Electro-acupuncture on Endometrial Blood Flow in Patients with Recurrent Implantation Failure:A Randomized Controlled Trial

Objective To investigate the immediate effects of electro-acupuncture(EA)on endometrial blood flow among recurrent implantation failure(RIF)*** Eighty RIF patients,enrolled from March 2022 to December 2022,were randomly allocated into either the EA group(40 cases)or the waiting-list(WL)group(40 cases)by using a random number *** EA group underwent acupuncture at points of Shenting(GV 24),Baihui(GV 4),Benshen(GB 13),bilateral Zigong(EX-CA 1),Huangshu(KI 16),Sanyinjiao(SP 6)and Xuehai(SP10),and electric acupuncture apparatus was connected to EX-CA 1,KI 16,SP 6,and SP 10 with disperse-dense waves at 4/20 Hz frequencies for 30 min after transvaginal ultrasound,while the WL group received no *** primary outcome measured was the endometrial volume blood *** secondary outcomes included the bilateral uterine artery index,endometrial volume,endometrial blood flow type,vascular distribution index(VI^(MV))for endometrial and ovary,clinical pregnancy rate,and embryo implantation *** In the EA group,there was a notable decrease in the bilateral pulsatility index and a significant improvement in the endometrial blood flow type post-EA(Psignificant disparities were observed in vascular index,flow index,vascular blood flow index,uterine arterial blood flow indices,endometrial volume,clinical pregnancy rate and embryo implantation rate between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).Besides,no adverse events related to EA were *** EA can promptly ameliorate VI^(MV) for the endometrial and right ovary,and endometrial blood flow *** randomized controlled trials are warranted to investigate the long-term effects of EA on blood flow of RIF patients and its implications for pregnancy outcomes.(Trial registration ***2200057377

Dear editor,Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus2(SARS-CoV-2)infection can lead to severe outcomes in patients with cancer[1].It has been reported that patients with lung cancers disproportionately manifest severe COVID-19 with a high rate of hospitalization and death[2].Notably,the SARS-CoV-2 Spike(S)protein can induce hyper-inflammation in both epithelial cells and macrophages through toll-like receptor(TLR)1/TLR2 or TLR2/6-dependent nuclear factor-kappaB(NF-κB)path-way[3].However,molecular and cellular evidence on whether the SARS-CoV-2 virus affects the severity of lung cancer patients through TLR1/2 or TLR2/6 signaling remains unclear.

Microsphere-assisted hyperspectral imaging:super-resolution,non-destructive metrology for semiconductor devices

As semiconductor devices shrink and their manufacturing processes advance,accurately measuring in-cell critical dimensions(CD)becomes increasingly *** test element group(TEG)measurements are becoming inadequate for representing the fine,repetitive patterns in cell *** non-destructive metrology technologies like optical critical dimension(OCD)are limited due to their large spot diameter of approximately 25μm,which impedes their efficacy for detailed in-cell structural ***,there is a pressing need for small-spot and non-destructive metrology *** address this limitation,we demonstrate a microsphere-assisted hyperspectral imaging(MAHsi)system,specifically designed for small spot optical metrology with *** microsphere-assisted super-resolution imaging,this system achieves an optical resolution of 66 nm within a field of view of 5.6μm×5.6μ*** approach effectively breaks the diffraction limit,significantly enhancing the magnification of the *** MAHsi system incorporating hyperspectral imaging with a wavelength range of 400–790 nm,enables the capture of the reflection spectrum at each camera *** achieved pixel resolution,which is equivalent to the measuring spot size,is 14.4 nm/pixel and the magnification is *** MAHsi system enables measurement of local uniformity in critical areas like corners and edges of DRAM cell blocks,areas previously challenging to inspect with conventional OCD *** our knowledge,this approach represents the first global implementation of microsphere-assisted hyperspectral imaging to address the metrology challenges in complex 3D structures of semiconductor devices.

Tamsulosin-induced life-threatening hypotension in a patient with spinal cord injury:A case report

BACKGROUND Tamsulosin,a selectiveα1-adrenergic receptor antagonist,is commonly used for treating neurogenic bladder in patients with spinal cord injury(SCI).No severe adverse events have been described with such tamsulosin *** our knowledge,we report the first case of severe life-threatening hypotension as an adverse effect of tamsulosin in a person with ***,we report this case to inform that this severe adverse effect of tamsulosin can occur when treating patients with *** SUMMARY A 59-year-old woman was diagnosed with cervical spinal cord myelopathy and was classified as American Spinal Injury Association Impairment Scale D,neurological level of injury *** she suffered from voiding difficulty due to neurogenic bladder,we prescribed *** vital signs remained stable,but occasional hypotensive symptoms followed *** reduced the dose of tamsulosin,but after administering tamsulosin for 9 d,she experienced lifethreatening hypotension with no evidence of hypovolemic shock,neurogenic shock,cardiogenic shock,or septic shock.A hypotensive condition induced by tamsulosin was the suspected cause,and her symptoms could be associated with adverse effects of *** symptoms resolved after stopping tamsulosin,and no other reason was found,we concluded that tamsulosin was the cause of her *** Caution for severe hypotension is needed when administering tamsulosin for neurogenic bladder in a patient with SCI.

Aging has a profound impact on the gingiva and significantly increases its susceptibility to periodontitis,a worldwide prevalent inflammatory ***,a systematic characterization and comprehensive understanding of the regulatory mechanism underlying gingival aging is still ***,we systematically dissected the phenotypic characteristics of gingiva during aging in primates and constructed the first single-nucleus transcriptomic landscape of gingival aging,by which a panel of cell type-specific signatures were *** cells were identified as the most affected cell types by aging in the *** analyses pinpointed the crucial role of YAP in epithelial self-renew and homeostasis,which declined during aging in epithelial cells,especially in basal *** decline of YAP activity during aging was confrmed in the human gingival tissues,and downregulation of YAP in human primary gingival keratinocytes recapitulated the major phenotypic defects observed in the aged primate gingiva while overexpression of YAP showed rejuvenation *** work provides an in-depth understanding of gingival aging and serves as a rich resource for developing novel strategies to combat aging-associated gingival diseases,with the ultimate goal of advancing periodontal health and promoting healthy aging.
