Here,we use two important biomaterials,protein and DNA,to construct self-assembled linear nanostructures through Watson-Crick base-paring of *** apply a simple magnetic separation method to purify traptavidin-DNA co njugates,and demonstrate synthesis of linear arrays of traptavidinDNA conjugates via the step-growth polymerization approach with pre-determined DNA *** the traptavidin-DNA array as a template,we assemble gold nanoparticles to form linear plasmonic nanostructures in a programmable *** traptavidin-DNA conjugates thus provide a convenient platform for one-dimensional assembly of biotinylated nanomaterials for many biomedical applications from drug delivery to bio-sensing.

BACKGROUND Primary renal lymphoma(PRL)is extremely rare with an incidence of 0.7%among extranodal *** renal lymphoma,which mimics medical renal disease and bilateral renal involvement,presents a diagnostic challenge to nephrologists and radiologists as the clinical and radiological findings are mostly non-specific or *** kidney injury(AKI)is not an uncommon finding in renal infiltration due to malignant ***,only 14%of cases are detected before death,and the low diagnostic rate may be due to the non-specific clinical manifestations of renal involvement,with only 0.5%of these cases presenting with ***,PRL is difficult to diagnose based on clinical,biochemical,and radiologic features,especially,in the case of bilateral diffuse *** SUMMARY Herein,we report a 74-year-old woman with primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma who presented with AKI diagnosed by ultrasound-guided needle *** also report the clinicopathologic findings of 121 PRL cases reported since 1989,by conducting a literature review of published *** A timely renal biopsy provides the most expedient means of establishing the ***,early identification of the disease by the clinician facilitates early diagnosis toward effective treatment.

The study investigates the magnetic separation of Fe from automobile shredder residue （ASR）（〈 0.25 mm） and its application for phenol degradation in water. The magnetically separated Fe was subjected to an ultrasonically assisted acid treatment, and the degradation of phenol in an aqueous solution using nano/micro-size Fe （n/m Fe） was investigated in an effort to evaluate the possibility of utilizing n/m Fe to remove phenol from wastewater. The prepared n/m Fe was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）. The eflects of the dosages ot n/mFe, pH, concentration of phenol and amount of H2O2 on phenol removal were evaluated. The results confirm that the phenol degradation rate was improved with an increase in the dosages of n/mFe and H2O2; however, the rate is reduced when the phenol concentration is higher. The degradation of phenol by n/mFe followed the pseudo-first-order kinetics. The value of the reaction rate constant （k）was increased as the amounts of n/m Fe and H2O2 increased. Conversely, the value of k was reduced when the concentration of phenol was increased. The probable mechanism behind the degradation of phenol by n/m Fe is the oxidation of phenol through hydroxyl radicals which are produced during the reaction between H2O2 and n/m Fe.

BACKGROUND To the best of our knowledge,cases of Kawasaki disease(KD)occurring at the age of 12 are rare,even in Asia where the incidence of KD is *** report a case of lymph-node-first presentation of KD(NFKD)in a 12-year-old girl with Mycoplasma pneumoniae(***)infection who presented with prolonged fever and lymphadenitis refractory to macrolide *** SUMMARY A previously healthy 12-year-old girl presented with fever,myalgia,sore throat,swelling,and tenderness on the right side of the *** was initially diagnosed with lymphadenitis caused by *** refractory to macrolide *** had elevated brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)***,the patient was diagnosed with *** receiving intravenous immunoglobulin,the fever resolved,and her symptoms *** NFKD should be differentiated from adolescent lymphadenitis presenting with prolonged fever by checking the BNP level early.

To predict the dendrite morphology and microstructure evolution in the solidification of molten metal,numerically,lattice Boltzmann method(LBM)-cellular automata(CA)model has been developed by integrating the LBM to solve the mass transport by diffusion and convection during solidification and the CA to determine the phase transformation with respect to the solid fraction based on the local equilibrium *** is successfully validated with analytic solutions such as Lipton-Glicksman-Kurz(LGK)model in static melt,and Oseen-Ivantsov solution under the fluid flow conditions in terms of tip radius and velocity of the dendrite *** proposed LBM-CA model does not only describe different types of dendrite formations with respect to various solidification conditions such as temperature gradient and growth rate,but also predict the primary dendrite arm spacing(PDAS)and the secondary dendrite arm spacing(SDAS),quantitatively,in directional solidification(DS)experiment with Ni-based superalloy.
