AIM:To compare the macular structure including foveal thickness among patients with optic neuritis(ON)according to the etiology and to investigate the possible correlation between structural and visual outcomes METhoDS:In this retrospective cross-sectional study,the clinical data of patients with aquaporin-4 immunoglobulin G-related ON(AQP4 group,40 eyes),myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein IgG-related ON(MOG group,31 eyes),and multiple sclerosis-related ON(MS group,24 eyes)were *** retinal thickness of the foveal,parafoveal and perifoveal regions were *** acuity(VA),visual field index and mean deviation were measured as visual ***:The AQP4 group showed a significantly thinner fovea(226.4±13.4μm)relative to the MOG(236.8±14.0μm,P=0.015)and MS(238.9±14.3μm,P=0.007)*** thickness in the parafoveal area also was thinner in the AQP4 group,though the difference in perifoveal retinal thickness was not *** thickness was correlated with VA in the AQP4 group(coefficientρ=-0.418,P=0.014),but not in the MOG and MS groups(P=0.218 and P=0.138,respectively).There was no significant correlation between foveal thickness and visual field test in all three ***:The significant thinning in the fovea and parafoveal areas in the AQP4 group compared to the MOG and MS groups are ***,macular changes in AQP4-ON show a significant correlation with *** results provide the possibility that retinal structural damage could reflect functional damage in AQP4-ON,distinct from MOGON and MS-ON.

In this paper,we study tidal forces in the Schwarzschild black hole,whose metric explicitly includes a generalized uncertainty principle(GUP)*** also investigate interesting features of the geodesic equations and tidal effects that are dependent on the GUP parameterαrelated to a minimum ***,by solving the geodesic deviation equations explicitly with appropriate boundary conditions,we show thatαin the effective metric affects both the radial and angular components of the geodesic equation,particularly near the singularities.

Bi2Te3-based materials have drawn much attention from the thermoelectric community due to their excellent thermoelectric performance near room ***,the stability of existing n-type Bi2（Te,Se）3materials is still low due to the evaporation energy of Se (37.70 kJ mol-1) being much lower than that of Te (52.55 kJ mol-1).The evaporated Se from the material causes problems in interconnects of the module while degrading the efficiency.

Clinical bone-morphogenetic protein 2(BMP2)treatment for bone regeneration,often resulting in complications like soft tissue inflammation and ectopic ossification due to high dosages and non-specific delivery systems,necessitates research into improved biomaterials for better BMP2 stability and *** tackle this challenge,we introduced a groundbreaking bone-targeted,lipoplex-loaded,three-dimensional bioprinted bilayer scaffold,termed the polycaprolactone-bioink-nanoparticle(PBN)scaffold,aimed at boosting bone *** encapsulated BMP2 within the fibroin nanoparticle based lipoplex(Fibroplex)and functionalized it with DSS6 for bone tissue-specific targeting.3D printing technology enables customized,porous PCL scaffolds for bone healing and soft tissue growth,with a two-step bioprinting process creating a cellular lattice structure and a bioink grid using gelatin-alginate hydrogel and DSS6-Fibroplex,shown to support effective nutrient exchange and cell growth at specific pore *** PBN scaffold is predicted through in silico analysis to exhibit biased BMP2 release between bone and soft tissue,a finding validated by in vitro osteogenic differentiation *** PBN scaffold was evaluated for critical calvarial defects,focusing on sustained BMP2 delivery,prevention of soft tissue cell infiltration and controlled fiber membrane pore size in *** PBN scaffold demonstrated a more than eight times longer BMP2 release time than that of the collagen sponge,promoting osteogenic differentiation and bone regeneration in a calvarial defect *** findings suggest that the PBN scaffold enhanced the local concentration of BMP2 in bone defects through sustained release and improved the spatial arrangement of bone formation,thereby reducing the risk of heterotopic ossification.

Most organic electrode materials （OEMs） for rechargeable batteries employ n-type redox centers, whose redox potentials are intrinsically limited however, p-type materials possessing high redox potentials experience low specific capacities because they are capable of only a single redox reaction within the stable electrochemical window of typical ***, we report 5,11-diethyl-5,11-dihydroindolo[3,2-b]carbazole （DEICZ） as a novel p-type OEM, exhibiting stable plateaus at high discharge potentials of3.44 and 4.09 V versus Li+/Li. Notably, the second redox potential of DEICZ is within the stable electrochemical window. The mechanism of the double redox reaction is investigated using both theoretical calculations and experimental measurements, including density functional theory calculations, ex situ electron spin resonance, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Finally,hybridization with single-walled carbon nanotubes （SWCNT） improves the cycle stability and rate performance of DEICZ owing to theπ–πinteractions between the SWCNT and co-planar molecular structure of DEICZ, preventing the dissolution of active materials into the electrolyte. The DEICZ/SWCNT composite electrode maintains 70.4%of its initial specific capacity at 1-C rate and also exhibits high-rate capability, even performing well at 100-C rate.
