Semantics-oriented approach for information interoperability and governance:towards user-centric enterprise architecture management

Enterprise architecture (EA) efforts focus on business, technology, data, and application architecture, and their integration. However, less attention has been given to one of the most critical EA elements, i.e., users (EA audiences). As a result, existing EA management systems (EAMS) have become old, large, content-centric document-repositories that are unable to provide meaningful information of use to the enterprise users and aligned with their needs and functional scope. We argue that a semantic technology based mechanism focusing on enterprise information and user-centricity has the potential to solve this problem. In this context, we present a novel ontology-based strategy named the user-centric semantics-oriented EA (U-SEA) model. Based on this model, we have developed a user-centric semantics-oriented enterprise architecture management (U-SEAM) system. Our approach is generic enough to be used in a wide variety of user-centric EAM applications. The results obtained show computational feasibility to integrate and govern enterprise information and to reduce complexity with respect to interoperability between enterprise information and users.

Despite advancements in silicon-based anodes for high-capacity lithium-ion batteries,their widespread commercial adoption is still hindered by significant volume expansion during cycling,especially at high active mass loadings crucial for practical *** root of these challenges lies in the mechanical instability of the material,which subsequently leads to the structural failure of the ***,we present a novel synthesis of a composite combining expanded graphite and silicon *** composite features a unique interlayer-bonded graphite structure,achieved through the application of a modified spark plasma sintering ***,this innovative structure not only facilitates efficient ion and electron transport but also provides exceptional mechanical strength(Vickers hardness:up to658 MPa,young's modulus:11.6 GPa).This strength effectively accommodates silicon expansion,resulting in an impressive areal capacity of 2.9 mA h cm^(-2)(736 mA h g^(-1)) and a steady cycle life(93% after 100cycles).Such outsta nding performance is paired with features appropriate for large-scale industrial production of silicon batteries,such as active mass loading of at least 3.9 mg cm^(-2),a high-tap density electrode material of 1.68 g cm^(-3)(secondary clusters:1.12 g cm^(-3)),and a production yield of up to 1 kg per day.

Purpose:This research aimed to identify leading factors that affect nurses’compliance with the safe handling of anticancer ***:Data were collected from 114 nurses working in the university hospital and were analyzed through independent t-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson’s correlation coefficient,and multiple regression analysis using ***:The average level of compliance with the safe handling of anticancer agents was 3.73±0.33 out of 5 *** safety culture(β=0.40,P<0.001)and knowledge of safe handling(β=0.18,P=0.030)had significant influences on nurses’compliance with the safe handling of anticancer *** explained variance for compliance was 28.3%.Conclusion:To enhance the implementation of safety management for anticancer agents,each institution should strive to support human and material resources and enhance specialization in the workplace safety culture through system *** on the results of this study,we suggest research for the development of a training program for anticancer agent safety management.

Cold spray(CS)which has recently become a promising additive manufacturing(AM)technology,was used to fabricate ultra-strong pure *** addition,the effects of carrier gas species on the microstructural characteristics,mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms were systemically *** CSAM copper manufactured with N_(2) carrier gas reveals a heterogeneous bimodal microstructure consisting of ultra-fine grains at the particle interface and relatively coarse grains in inner *** He carrier gas,a homogeneous grain structure consisting of ultra-fine grains in most areas was *** tests showed that N_(2) and He carrier gasses enabled ultra-high yield strengths of 340 and415 MPa,*** values are comparable to severely plastic deformed copper,which has extremely low ductility and shape *** the other hand,both samples showed a strain-softening phenomenon that does not commonly occur at room *** deformation microstructures revealed that dynamic recovery(DRV)and dynamic recrystallization(DRX)phenomena were generated despite being deformed at room *** on the above findings,the overall deformation mechanisms according to the carrier gas species in the CSAM copper manufacturing process were ***,the work hardening and softening behaviors of CSAM Cu are predicted by using a constitutive equation.

High-entropy alloys(HEAs)with interstitial atoms that are produced by additive manufacturing have gained intensive interest in the materials science community because of their suitability for constructing high-strength net-shape ***,a strategy to additionally enhance the strength of selective laser melted carbon-containing HEAs was *** as-built carbon-containing HEAs(C_(x)(Cr_(20)Mn_(20)Fe_(20)Co_(20)Ni_(20))_(100-x)(x=0.5 at.%,1.0 at.%,and 1.5 at.%))contain supersaturated carbon,and the extent of supersaturation increases as the carbon content *** subjected to aging treatment at 650°C for 1 h,the microstructure of the three alloys did not change at the grain ***,the microstructure at the sub-grain scale changed markedly,and these changes influenced the tensile properties and deformation *** particular,the tensile strength of aged 1.5C-HEA at 650°C was∼1.2 GPa at room temperature,which is higher than those reported for CrMnFeCoNi ***,the main deformation mechanism changed from deformation twinning to dislocation-mediated slip,resulting in much higher strain hardening capacity after the aging *** work led to the development of an alternative promising method that involves tailoring the microstructure,to enhance the mechanical properties of additively manufactured metallic materials that contain interstitial atoms.

Background In addition to hematopoietic effect, the erythropoietin is known as a multifunctional cytokine with anti-fibrosis and organ-protective activities. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of recombinant human erythropoietin （rhEPO） on hepatic fibrosis and hepatic stellate cells （HSCs）. Methods Carbon tetrachloride （CCI4） induced hepatic fibrosis mice models were used for in vivo study and HSCs line for in vitro study. CCI4 and rhEPO （0,200 or 1000 U/kg） was injected intraperitoneally in BALB/c mice three times a week for 4 weeks. Immunohistochemistry and immunoblotting were performed to evaluate expressions of transforming growth factor-β1 （TGF-β1）, α-smooth muscle actin （α-SMA）, and fibronectin in explanted liver. Immunoblotting of α-SMA, phophorylated Smad-2 and Smad-2/3 was performed in HSCs treated with TGF-β1 and/or rhEPO. Results Expressions of TGF-β1, α-SMA, and fibronectin were increased in CCI4 injected mice livers, but significantly attenuated by co-treatment with CCI4 and rhEPO. Co-treatment of rhEPO markedly suppressed fibrosis in Masson＇s trichrome compared with treatment of only CCI4. TGF-β1 increased phosphorylated α-SMA, Smad-2 expressions in HSCs, which were decreased by rhEPO co-treatment. Conclusions Treatment of rhEPO effectively suppressed fibrosis in CCI4-induced liver fibrosis mice models. Anti-fibrosis effect of rhEPO could be related to inhibition of TGF-β1 induced activation of HSCs.

In this article, we propose the hypothesis that the prefrontal cortex （PFC） acquired neotenic development as a consequence of mesocortical dopamine （DA） innervation, which in turn drove evolution of the PFC into becoming a complex functional system. Accordingly, from the evolutionary perspective, decreased DA signaling in the PFC associated with such adverse conditions as chronic stress may be considered as an environmental adaptation strategy. Psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder may also be understood as environmental adaptation or a by-product of such a process that has emerged through evolution in humans. To investigate the evolutionary perspective of DA signaling in the PFC, domestic animals such as dogs may be a useful model.

Exploring perspectives in assessing the quality of governance of the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) pilot project in Cambodia: Use of Q Methodology

Public and policy makers alike are concerned about national and global deforestation and forest degradation. These issues pose a significant threat to social, economic and environmental *** to prevent forest loss and increased attention to pilot REDD+ projects in community forestry sites would both deliver rural livelihood benefits and help to reduce adverse climate ***, there has been no significant exploration of the viewpoints of local experts to determine the monitoring and action needed to support communitybased forestry and improve the governance of REDD+pilot projects in Cambodia. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the perceptions of local stakeholders towards the quality of governance of the first community forest REDD+ pilot project in Cambodia,employing Q-methodology. We adapted 11 indicators of the hierarchical framework of assessment of governance quality to design 40 Q-statements related to REDD+ governance or achievements. The 52 P-set ranked these Q-statements with respect to the community-based REDD+ pilot project. Our study revealed that local stakeholders held four distinct, and partially opposite, views, that:(1) the REDD+ project is successful because it is inclusiveness and capable of causing behavioral change;(2) REDD+ pilot projects should be led by government, not external or locally;and needs more resources;(3) the REDD+ pilot project has raised unrealistic expectations, would likely be a source of corruption and will probably not be successful for local people or halting deforestation;and(4) the REDD+ pilot project is inclusive but not very transparent and probably ineffective at protecting forest. Through these four varied perspectives from local people involved in the project,we can see that there remain serious challenges to the future of pilot community forestry REDD+ projects,including the complex interaction between the multinational actors and the local socio-ecological *** move forwards, this study

In this paper,the effects of foundation damage and water-level change on vibration characteristics of gravity-type caisson structure are examined by analyzing modal parameters extracted from output-only *** achieve the objective,the following approaches are ***,vibration response analysis methods are selected to estimate power spectral density and modal parameters such as natural frequency,damping ratio and mode shape of a lab-scale caisson structural ***,vibration tests on the lab-scale caisson system are performed under a series of test scenarios which include three water-level changes and three damage ***,experimental modal parameters corresponding to the damaging cases as well as the water level cases are extracted by frequency domain decomposition method and stochastic subspace identification ***,the effects of the water-level variation and foundation damage on the extracted modal parameters are examined to assess the feasibility of the vibration-based damage detection in gravity-type caisson structures under water-level uncertainty.
