BACKGROUND Aberrant methylation is common during the initiation and progression of colorectal cancer(CRC),and detecting these changes that occur during early adenoma(ADE)formation and CRC progression has clinical *** To identify potential DNA methylation markers specific to ADE and *** Here,we performed SeqCap targeted bisulfite sequencing and RNA-seq analysis of colorectal ADE and CRC samples to profile the epigenomic-transcriptomic *** Comparing 22 CRC and 25 ADE samples,global methylation was higher in the former,but both showed similar methylation patterns regarding differentially methylated gene positions,chromatin signatures,and repeated ***-grade CRC tended to exhibit elevated methylation levels in gene promoter regions compared to those in low-grade *** with RNA-seq gene expression data,we identified 14 methylation-regulated differentially expressed genes,of which only AGTR1 and NECAB1 methylation had prognostic *** Our results suggest that genome-wide alterations in DNA methylation occur during the early stages of CRC and demonstrate the methylation signatures associated with colorectal ADEs and CRC,suggesting prognostic biomarkers for CRC.

Maximum Correntropy Criterion-Based UKF for Loosely Coupling INS and UWB in Indoor Localization

Indoor positioning is a key technology in today’s intelligent environments,and it plays a crucial role in many application *** paper proposed an unscented Kalman filter(UKF)based on the maximum correntropy criterion(MCC)instead of the minimummean square error criterion(MMSE).This innovative approach is applied to the loose coupling of the Inertial Navigation System(INS)and Ultra-Wideband(UWB).By introducing the maximum correntropy criterion,the MCCUKF algorithm dynamically adjusts the covariance matrices of the system noise and the measurement noise,thus enhancing its adaptability to diverse environmental localization *** in the presence of non-Gaussian noise,especially heavy-tailed noise,the MCCUKF exhibits superior accuracy and robustness compared to the traditional *** method initially generates an estimate of the predicted state and covariance matrix through the unscented transform(UT)and then recharacterizes the measurement information using a nonlinear regression method at the cost of ***,the state and covariance matrices of the filter are updated by employing the unscented transformation on the measurement ***,to mitigate the influence of non-line-of-sight(NLOS)errors positioning accuracy,this paper proposes a k-medoid clustering algorithm based on bisection k-means(Bikmeans).This algorithm preprocesses the UWB distance measurements to yield a more precise position *** results demonstrate that MCCUKF is robust to the uncertainty of UWB and realizes stable integration of INS and UWB systems.

Enhancing corrosion resistance of plasma electrolytic oxidation coatings on AM50 Mg alloy by inhibitor containing Ba(NO_(3))_(2) solutions

To enhance the long-term corrosion resistance of the plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)coating on the magnesium(Mg)alloy,an inorganic salt combined with corrosion inhibitors was used for posttreatment of the *** this study,the corrosion performance of PEO-coated AM50 Mg was significantly improved by loading sodium lauryl sulfonate(SDS)and sodium dodecyl benzene sulf-onate into Ba(NO_(3))_(2) post-sealing *** electron microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectrometer,and ultraviolet-visible analyses showed that the inhibitors enhanced the incorporation of BaO_(2) into PEO *** impedance showed that post-sealing in Ba(NO_(3))_(2)/SDS treatment enhanced corrosion resistance by three orders of *** total impedance value remained at 926Ω·cm^(2)after immersing in a 0.5wt%NaCl solution for 768 h.A salt spray test for 40 days did not show any obvious region of corrosion,proving excellent post-sealing by Ba(NO_(3))_(2)/SDS *** corrosion resistance of the coating was enhanced through the synergistic effect of BaO2 pore sealing and SDS adsorption.

Traditional ring-opening metathesis polymerization(ROMP)reactions exhibit broad functional group compatibility and precise control over polymer architectures,albeit with non-biodegradable *** progress has resulted in a series of biodegradable ROMP products with diverse cleavable functional groups,yet the majority of the monomers display moderate to low ring strain,which restricts their living polymerization *** this study,a novel category of readily available 7-oxa-2,3-diazanorbornenes(ODAN)is presented,which exhibits the highest ring strain(22.8 kcal/mol)compared to existing degradable ROMP *** trait endows ODAN with the ability to perform living polymerization reactions,generating narrowly dispersed homopolymers,block copolymers,and statistical copolymers with various cyclic olefin comonomers,thereby enabling precise control over distribution of the biodegradable functional ***,the resultant polymers comprise directly connected allyl hemiaminal ether and urethane units,which are hydrolyzable at controllable ***,these well-defined,structure-tunable,and backbone-biodegradable ROMP polymers are applied as nanoetching materials and biodegradable delivery carriers.

A Tiny Example Based Procedural Model for Real-Time Glinty Appearance Rendering

The glinty details from complex microstructures significantly enhance rendering ***,the previous methods use high-resolution normal maps to define each micro-geometry,which requires huge memory *** paper observes that many self-similarity materials have independent structural characteristics,which we define as tiny example *** propose a procedural model to represent microstructures implicitly by performing spatial transformations and spatial distribution on tiny ***,we precompute normal distribution functions(NDFs)by 4D Gaussians for tiny examples and store them in multi-scale NDF *** with a tiny example based NDF evaluation method,complex glinty surfaces can be rendered simply by texture *** experimental results show that our tiny example based the microstructure rendering method is GPU-friendly,successfully reproducing high-frequency reflection features of different microstructures in real time with low memory and computational overhead.
