Boosting kinetic separation of ethylene and ethane on microporous materials via crystal size control

The adsorptive separation of C_(2.H_(4)and C_(2.H_(6),as an alternative to distillation units consuming high energy,is a promising yet challenging *** great similarity in the molecular size of C_(2.H_(4)and C_(2.H_(6)brings challenges to the regulation of adsorbents to realize efficient dynamic ***,we reported the enhancement of the kinetic separation of C_(2.H_(4)/C_(2.H_(6)by controlling the crystal size of ZnAtzPO_(4)(Atz=3-amino-1,2.4-triazole)to amplify the diffusion difference of C_(2.H_(4)and C_(2.H_(6).Through adjusting the synthesis temperature,reactant concentration,and ligands/metal ions molar ratio,ZnAtzPO4 crystals with different sizes were *** single-component kinetic adsorption tests and binary-component dynamic breakthrough experiments confirmed the enhancement of the dynamic separation of C_(2.H_(4)/C_(2.H_(6)with the increase in the crystal size of ZnAtzPO_(4).The separation selectivity of C_(2.H_(4)/C_(2.H_(6)increased from 1.3 to 98.5 with the increase in the crystal size of ZnAtzPO_(4).This work demonstrated the role of morphology and size control of adsorbent crystals in the improvement of the C_(2.H_(4)/C_(2.H_(6)kinetic separation performance.

In perovskite solar cells(PSCs),the inherent defects of perovskite film and the random distribution of excess lead iodide(PbI_(2.)prevent the improvement of efficiency and ***,natural cellulose is used as the raw material to design a series of cellulose derivatives for perovskite crystallization *** cationic cellulose derivative C-Im-CN with cyano-imidazolium(Im-CN)cation and chloride anion prominently promotes the crystallization process,grain growth,and directional orientation of ***,excess PbI_(2.is transferred to the surface of perovskite grains or formed plate-like crystallites in local *** effects result in suppressing defect formation,decreasing grain boundaries,enhancing carrier extraction,inhibiting non-radiative recombination,and dramatically prolonging carrier ***,the PSCs exhibit a high power conversion efficiency of 2..71%.Moreover,C-Im-CN has multiple interaction sites and polymer skeleton,so the unencapsulated PSCs maintain above 91.3%of their initial efficiencies after 3000 h of continuous operation in a conventional air atmosphere and have good stability under high humidity *** utilization of biopolymers with excellent structure-designability to manage the perovskite opens a state-of-the-art avenue for manufacturing and improving PSCs.

Effect of TiO_(2. addition on microstructures and properties of Mgo-Cao refractory aggregates

Improved Belief Propagation Decoder for LDPC-CRC-Polar Codes with Bit-Freezing

Though belief propagation bit-flip(BPBF)decoding improves the error correction performance of polar codes,it uses the exhaustive flips method to achieve the error correction performance of CA-SCL decoding,thus resulting in high decoding complexity and *** alleviate this issue,we incorporate the LDPC-CRC-Polar coding scheme with BPBF and propose an improved belief propagation decoder for LDPC-CRC-Polar codes with bit-freezing(LDPCCRC-Polar codes BPBFz).The proposed LDPCCRC-Polar codes BPBFz employs the LDPC code to ensure the reliability of the flipping set,i.e.,critical set(CS),and dynamically update *** modified CS is further utilized for the identification of error-prone *** proposed LDPC-CRC-Polar codes BPBFz obtains remarkable error correction performance and is comparable to that of the CA-SCL(L=16)decoder under medium-to-high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)*** gains up to 1.2.B and 0.9dB at a fixed BLER=10-4compared with BP and BPBF(CS-1),*** addition,the proposed LDPC-CRC-Polar codes BPBFz has lower decoding latency compared with CA-SCL and BPBF,i.e.,it is 15 times faster than CA-SCL(L=16)at high SNR regions.

The removal of a failed implant with high torque causes significant damage to the surrounding tissue,compromising bone regeneration and subsequent osseointegration in the defect ***,we report a case of carrier screw fracture followed by immediate implant removal,bone grafting and delayed reimplantation.A dental implant with a fractured central carrier screw was removed using the bur-forceps *** resulting three-wall bone defect was filled with granular surface demineralized freeze-dried bone allograft(SD-FDBA).Cone-beam computerized tomography was performed at 1week,6months and 15months postoperatively and standardized for quantitative *** alveolar bone width and height at 15months post-surgery were about 91%of the original values,with a slightly lower bone density,calculated using the gray value *** graft site was reopened and was found to be completely healed with dense and vascularized bone along with some residual bone *** followed by restoration was performed 8months *** quality of regenerated bone following SD-FDBA grafting was adequate for osseointegration and longterm implant *** excellent osteogenic properties of SD-FDBA are attributed to its human origin,cortical bone-like structure,partly demineralized surfaces and bone morphogenetic protein-2.containing *** investigation with more cases and longer follow-up was required to confirm the final clinical effect.

Satellite observations of coastal upwelling in the northern Arafura Sea

Coastal upwelling is significant for marine ecosystems by lifting nutrient-rich deep waters into the euphotic zone,thereby increasing primary and secondary *** satellite observations show that the northern Arafura Sea(NAS),especially in the coastal region,features high chlorophyll-a(chl-a)concentrations,implying a strong coastal ***,coastal upwelling in the NAS has not received much *** on a semi-automatic image processing technology,the seasonal and interannual variability of coastal upwelling in the NAS are investigated in this study using satellite-observed sea surface temperature(SST)and wind *** results suggest that there are seasonal coastal upwelling events in the NAS modulated by upwelling-favorable southeast monsoon(SEM).The annual mean days,mean area,and annual mean intensity of coastal upwelling events during the SEM season are 92.days,6514 km^(2.,and-5.31×10^(5),respectively,while the corresponding values during the northwest monsoon(NWM)season are 32.days,5569 km^(2.,and-1.41×10^(5).It is also found that the SEM coastal upwelling in the NAS displays prominent interannual *** strong upwelling events are found in 2.10,2.13,2.16,and 2.17 when the southeast monsoon winds were *** analysis suggests that at the interannual scale,the upwelling index(UI)averaged in the SEM season is negatively correlated with that of three upwelling *** can be attributed to the limitation of onshore geostrophic flow which is evidenced by the negative correlation between the UI and the alongshore difference in sea surface *** study highlights the important role of the southeast monsoon in the temporal variability of coastal upwelling in the NAS.
