Background:Phenylketonuria(PKU)is caused by a defect in phenylalanine hydroxylase(PAH).More than 500 mutations have been reported for the gene encoding ***,approximately l%-5%of these include large deletions and large duplications that cannot be detected by conventional ***:In this report we tried to fully characterize a PAH-deficient *** patient was a 2-year-old Japanese boy who was diagnosed with classical PKU at the time of neonatal screening,which was confirmed by the tetrahydrobiopterin-loading ***-related direct sequencing and multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification(MLPA)were used to analyze of the PAH of the ***:Using PCR-related direct sequencing method,we could detect only a heterozygous novel missense mutation:p.136G>C(p.G46R).A second mutation was detected by *** patient was heterozygous for a novel large deletion of exons 12 and 13:c.1200-?_1359+?del(EX12_13del).For genetic counseling,an accurate genetic diagnosis is often ***:Through a combination of MLPA and conventional methods,the success rate of PAH mutation identification can be close to 100%.

The general human factors analysis analyzes human functions, effects and influence in a system. But in a narrow sense, it analyzes human influence upon the reliability of a system, it includes traditional human reliability analysis, human error analysis, man-machine interface analysis, human character analysis, and others. A software development project in software engineering is successful or not to be completely determined by human factors. In this paper, we discuss the human factors intensions, declare the importance of human factors analysis for software engineering by listed some instances. At last, we probe preliminarily into the mentality that a practitioner in software engineering should possess. Primary esophageal combined carcinoma is very rare. The authors herein report 2 cases. Case 1 was a com- bined squamous cell carcinoma and small cell carci- noma, and case 2 was a combined squamous cell carci- noma, adenocarcinoma, and small cell carcinoma. Case 1 was a 67-year-old man with complaints of dysphagia. Endoscopic examination revealed an ulcerated tumor in the middle esophagus, and 6 biopsies were obtained. All 6 biopsies revealed a mixture of squamous cell car- cinoma and small cell carcinoma. Both elements were positive for cytokeratin, epithelial membrane antigen, and p53 protein, and had high Ki-67 labeling. The small cell carcinoma element was positive for synaptophysin, CD56, KIT, and platelet-derived growth factor-~ （PDG- FRA）, while the squamous cell carcinoma element was not. Genetically, no mutations of K/Tand PDGFRA were recognized. The patient died of systemic carcinomato- sis 15 mo after presentation. Case 2 was a 74-year-old man presenting with dysplasia. Endoscopy revealed a polypoid tumor in the distal esophagus. Seven biopsies were taken, and 6 showed a mixture of squamous cell carcinoma, small cell carcinoma, and adenocarcinoma. The 3 elements were positive for cytokeratins, epithe-lial membrane antigen, and p53 protein, and had high Ki-67 labeling. The adenocarcinoma element was posi- tive for mucins. The small cell carcinoma element was positive for CD56, synaptophysin, KIT, and PDGFRA, but the other elements were not. Mutations of KIT and PDGFRA were not recognized. The patient died of sys- temic carcinomatosis 7 mo after presentation. These combined carcinomas may arise from enterochromaf- fin cells or totipotential stem cell in the esophagus or transdifferentiation of one element to another. A review of the literature was performed.

A large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma(LCNEC) of the stomach is very rare.A 76-year-old Japanese man was admitted to our hospital because of epigastralgia and *** revealed 2 large tumors in the *** did not have multiple endocrine neoplasia typeⅠor Zollinger-Ellison *** modalities,including computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging,revealed no other ***,cholecystectomy,and lymph node dissection were *** resected stomach had 2 tumors:one was an antral ulcerated type 3 tumor measuring 5 cm x 5 cm,and the other was a polypoid type 1 tumor measuring 6 cm x 6 cm x 3 cm in the ***,the antral ulcerated tumor was a well differentiated adenocarcinoma with deep *** fundus polypoid tumor was a LCNEC,being composed of malignant large cells arranged in trabecular and nested *** tumor cells were large and the nuclei were *** were frequently present,and there were many mitotic figures,apoptotic bodies,and necrotic *** lymphovascular permeation was *** out of 29 dissected lymph nodes showed metastatic foci;6 were from the LCNEC and 1 from *** intravascular tumor emboli of LCNEC were seen in the peritoneum around the lymph *** were present in the adenocarcinoma but not in the ***,the LCNEC tumor cells were positive for pancytokeratins,synaptophysin(50%positive) ,chromogranin A(10% positive) ,Ki-67(90%labeled) ,and platelet-derived growth factor-α(80%positive) .They were negative for KIT,p53,CD56,and neuron-specific *** non-cancerous stomach showed a normal number of endocrine *** patient is now treated with adjuvant chemotherapy.

The photoreduction of CO2 to hydrocarbons is a sustainable energy technology that not only reduces emissions but also the need for alternative *** this study,Au nanoparticles were deposited on anatase TiO2 using various pH controlled Au ion solutions(from pH=6 to 9).Photoreduction experiments were performed in an FT-IR gas reactor using CO2 gas with 50%relative humidity as the reactant for the four Au/TiO2 ***4 was mainly detected as the CO2 reduction product,along with a small amount of *** amounts of CH4 produced normalised by Au weight were 437 ppm(pH 6),664 ppm(pH 7),1,040 ppm(pH 8)and 2,356 ppm(pH 9).Therefore,the pH of the solution used in Au nanoparticle deposition strongly influenced the amount of CH4 *** highest production efficiency was obtained when the pH of the solution was *** the experimental results,we performed X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and transmission electron microscope measurements and found that Au particle size was influenced by the pH of the solution with the size at pH 9 being smaller than that at pH *** was also found that there were Au-O states at the interface of Au nanoparticles and anatase TiO2.

Objective: Knee pain is commonly observed among older adults. Therefore, the prevention of knee pain in older adults is a major public health issue. This study aimed to clarify factors relevant to knee pain among older adults. Methods: This study targeted all independent older adults (N = 6661) living in a local municipality in Japan. Participants’ health status and lifestyle habits were surveyed using a questionnaire. The survey was conducted from 15 January to 14 February 2016. Relationships between knee pain and physical activity, sitting time, nutrition, drinking, smoking, or body mass index (BMI) were examined using logistic regression analysis. Odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) adjusted for several confounding factors were calculated. Results: Older adults of 5311 responded to the questionnaire and 1843 reported knee pain. The prevalence of knee pain was 34.8%. Knee pain was significantly associated with BMI (OR: 0.60, 95% CI: 0.51 - 0.69, P P P P = 0.001). Conclusions: This study suggests that one in three independently-living older adults experiences chronic knee pain and that physical activity, BMI, and nutritional status are associated with knee pain.
