Solution-phase synthesis of nanomaterials at low temperature

This paper reviews the solution-phase synthesis of nanoparticles via some routes at low temperatures, such as room temperature route, wave-assisted synthesis (γ-irradiation route and sonochemical route), directly heating at low temperatures, and hydrothermal/solvothermal methods. A number of strategies were developed to control the shape, the size, as well as the dispersion of nanostructures. Using diethylamine or n-butylamine as solvent, semiconductor nanorods were yielded. By the hydrothermal treatment of amorphous colloids, Bi2S3 nanorods and Se nanowires were obtained. CdS nanowires were prepared in the presence of polyacrylamide. ZnS nanowires were obtained using liquid crystal. The polymer poly (vinyl acetate) tubule acted as both nanoreactor and template for the CdSe nanowire growth. Assisted by the surfactant of sodium dodecyl benzenesulfonate (SDBS), nickel nanobelts were synthesized. In addition, Ag nanowires, Te nanotubes and ZnO nanorod arrays could be prepared without adding any additives or templates.

Lithium metal has aroused extensive research interests as the anode for next-generation rechargeable ***,the well-known dendritic Li growth and consequent safety issues still impair the long-term cycling ***,a hybrid structure composed of 3 D carbon cloth and vesicleshaped hollow ZIF-8 modification shell(HZS@CC)was prepared as a smart host for guiding uniform Li *** long-range interconnected 3 D carbon fiber network enables the reduced local current density with homogeneous electrons ***,abundant surface polar groups and the ultrastructure on ZIF-8 particles effectively guide a well-distributed Li-ions flow to promote the uniform Li nucleation and *** a result,stable Li plating/stripping for 2000 h with a low overpotential(≈15 mV)at 1 mA cm^(-2) were achieved in symmetric *** with LiFePO_(4) cathode,the full cell delivered long life over 1200 cycles at 6 *** research demonstrated that a homogenization guiding of Li-ions is of great importance to better make use of the structural advantage of 3 D hosts and achieve improved electrochemical performance.

Low discharge capacity and poor cycle stability are the major obstacles hindering the operation of Li-O_(2)batteries with *** obstacles are mainly caused by the cathode passivation behaviours and the accumulation of *** the discharge process in solution and accelerating the decomposition of discharge products and by-products are able to alleviate above problems to some ***,chiral salen-Co(Ⅱ)complex,(1R,2R)-(-)-N,N-bis(3,5-di-t-butylsalicylidene)-1,2-cyclohexanediaminocobalt(Ⅱ)(Co(Ⅱ))as a multi-functional redox mediator was introduced into electrolyte to induce solution phase formation of Li_(2)O_(2)and catalyze the oxidation of Li_(2)O_(2)and main by-products Li_(2)*** to the Co(Ⅱ)has the solvation effect towards Li+,it can drive solution phase formation of Li_(2)O_(2),to prevent electrode from passivation and then increase the discharge capacity with a high Li_(2)O_(2)yield of 96.09%.Furthermore,the Co(Ⅱ)possesses suitable redox couple potentials,and it does so while simultaneously boosting the oxidization of Li_(2)O_(2)and the decomposition of Li_(2)CO3,reducing charge overpotential,and promoting cycle ***,a cell with Co(Ⅱ)achieved a long cycling stability at low charge plateau(3.66 V)over 252 cycles with a specific capacity of 500 mAh·gcarbon^(−1).

Urchin-like Sn–ZnO–C composite have been successfully prepared by thermal annealing of ZnSn(OH)6precursor in acetylene/argon gas(1/9;v/v).The phase of the urchin-like Sn–ZnO–C has been characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Raman *** images of scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and transmission electron microscope(TEM)demonstrate that the Sn–ZnO–C composite with an average of 3 lm in diameter is composed of many core–shell nanowires and carbon nanotubes emanated from the *** thermal annealing temperature and time have crucial effects on the formation of urchin-like structure and carbon content of the Sn–ZnO–C *** an anode for lithium-ion batteries,the urchin-like Sn–ZnO–C composite delivers a discharge capacity of 1,034.5 mAh/g in initial cycle and 571.9 mAh/g reversible discharge capacity after 25 cycles at a current density of 50 mA/*** superior energy storage properties highlight the urchin-like Sn–ZnO–C composite as a potential alternative anode material in lithium-ion batteries.

There have been few reports concerning the hydrothermal synthesis of silicon anode materials. In this manuscript, starting from the very cheap silica sol, we hydrothermally prepared porous silicon nanospheres in an autoclave at 180 ℃. As anode materials for lithium-ion batteries （LIBs）, the as-prepared nano-silicon anode without any carbon coating delivers a high reversible specific capacity of 2,650 mAh·g^-1 at 0.36 A·g^-1 and a significant cycling stability of about 950 mAh·g^-1 at 3.6 A·g^-1 during 500 cycles.

Graphene-wrapped Fe2O3nanorings(RGO/Fe2O3)were synthesized by a facile approach,which assembled with graphene and the Fe2O3nanorings precursor through the colloidal coagulation effect at room *** uniform Fe2O3nanorings prepared by hydrothermal routes were homogeneously distributed and well wrapped by *** tested as anode for lithium ion batteries,RGO/Fe2O3exhibits a high capacity and good cycling *** could be attributed to the interaction of ring-shaped structure and graphene sheets,which inherit the good kinetic property of Fe2O3nanorings and enhance the structural integrity with graphene sheets’support.

Many few-shot learning approaches have been designed under the meta-learning framework, which learns from a variety of learning tasks and generalizes to new tasks. These meta-learning approaches achieve the expected performance in the scenario where all samples are drawn from the same distributions (i.i.d. observations). However, in real-world applications, few-shot learning paradigm often suffers from data shift, i.e., samples in different tasks, even in the same task, could be drawn from various data distributions. Most existing few-shot learning approaches are not designed with the consideration of data shift, and thus show downgraded performance when data distribution shifts. However, it is non-trivial to address the data shift problem in few-shot learning, due to the limited number of labeled samples in each task. Targeting at addressing this problem, we propose a novel metric-based meta-learning framework to extract task-specific representations and task-shared representations with the help of knowledge graph. The data shift within/between tasks can thus be combated by the combination of task-shared and task-specific representations. The proposed model is evaluated on popular benchmarks and two constructed new challenging datasets. The evaluation results demonstrate its remarkable performance.

Rationally designing sulfur hosts with the functions of confining lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)and promoting sulfur reaction kinetics is critically important to the real implementation of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)***,the defect-rich carbon black(CB)as sulfur host was successfully constructed through a rationally regulated defect ***-obtained defect-rich CB can act as an active electrocatalyst to enable the sulfur redox reaction kinetics,which could be regarded as effective inhibitor to alleviate the LiPS *** expected,the cathode consisting of sulfur and defect-rich CB presents a high rate capacity of 783.8 mA·h·g^−1 at 4 C and a low capacity decay of only 0.07% per cycle at 2 C over 500 cycles,showing favorable electrochemical *** strategy in this investigation paves a promising way to the design of active electrocatalysts for realizing commercially viable Li-S batteries.
