Efficient and stable hybrid perovskite-organic light-emitting diodes with external quantum efficiency exceeding 40 per cent

Light-emitting diodes(LEDs)based on perovskite semiconductor materials with tunable emission wavelength in visible light range as well as narrow linewidth are potential competitors among current light-emitting display technologies,but still suffer from severe instability driven by electric ***,we develop a stable,efficient and highcolor purity hybrid LED with a tandem structure by combining the perovskite LED and the commercial organic LED technologies to accelerate the practical application of *** LED and organic LED with close photoluminescence peak are selected to maximize photon emission without photon reabsorption and to achieve the narrowed emission *** designing an efficient interconnecting layer with p-type interface doping that provides good opto-electric coupling and reduces Joule heating,the resulting green emitting hybrid LED shows a narrow linewidth of around 30 nm,a peak luminance of over 176,000 cd m^(−2),a maximum external quantum efficiency of over 40%,and an operational half-lifetime of over 42,000 h.

Because of their moderate penetration power,β-rays(high-energy electrons)are a useful signal for evaluating the surface contamination of nuclear ***,the development ofβ-ray scintillators,which convert the absorbed high-energy electrons into visible photons,is hindered by the limitations of materials ***,we report two highly luminescent zerodimensional(0D)organic-inorganic lead-free metal halide hybrids,(C_(13)H_(30)N)_(2)MnBr_(4)and(C_(19)H_(34)N)_(2)MnBr_(4),as scintillators exhibiting efficientβ-ray *** hybrid scintillators combine the superior properties of organic and inorganic *** example,organic components that contain light elements C,H,and N enhance the capturing efficiency ofβparticles;isolated inorganic[MnBr_(4)]2−tetrahedrons serve as highly localized emitting centers to emit intense radioluminescence(RL)underβ-ray *** hybrids show a narrow-band green emission peaked at 518 nm with photoluminescence quantum efficiencies(PLQEs)of 81.3%for(C_(13)H_(30)N)_(2)MnBr_(4)and 86.4%for(C_(19)H_(34)N)_(2)MnBr_(4),*** enable the solution processing of this promising metal halide hybrid,we successfully synthesized(C_(13)H_(30)N)_(2)MnBr_(4)colloidal nanocrystals for the first *** excited byβ-rays,(C_(13)H_(30)N)_(2)MnBr_(4)scintillators show a linear response toβ-ray dose rate over a broad range from 400 to 2,800 Gy·s^(−1),and also display robust radiation resistance that 80%of the initial RL intensity can be maintained after an ultrahigh accumulated radiation dose of 240 *** work will open up a new route for the development ofβ-ray scintillators.

Colloidal quantum dots(CQDs)are of great interest to photovoltaic(PV)technologies as they possess the benefits of solution-processability,size-tunability,and roll-to-roll manufacturability,as well as unique capabilities to harvest near-infrared(NIR)*** the last decade,lab-scale CQD solar cells have achieved rapid improvement in the power conversion efficiency(PCE)from~1%to 18%,which will potentially exceed 20%in the next few years and approach the performance of other PV technologies,such as perovskite solar cells and organic solar *** the meanwhile,CQD solar cells exhibit long lifetimes either under shelf storage or continuous operation,making them highly attractive to ***,in order to meet the industrial requirements,mass production techniques are necessary to scale up the fabrication of those lab devices into large-area PV modules,such as roll-to-toll *** paper reviews the recent developments of large-area CQD solar cells with a focus on various fabrication methods and their *** covers the progress of typical large-area coating techniques,including spray coating,blade coating,dip coating,and slot-die *** also discusses next steps and new strategies to accomplish the ultimate goal of the low-cost large-area fabrication of CQD solar cells and emphasizes how artificial intelligence or machine learning could facilitate the developments of CQD solar cell research.

In the era of exponential growth of data availability,the architecture of systems has a trend toward high dimensionality,and directly exploiting holistic information for state inference is not always computationally *** paper proposes a novel Bayesian filtering algorithm that considers algorithmic computational cost and estimation accuracy for high-dimensional linear *** high-dimensional state vector is divided into several blocks to save computation resources by avoiding the calculation of error covariance with immense *** that,two sequential states are estimated simultaneously by introducing an auxiliary variable in the new probability space,mitigating the performance degradation caused by state ***,the computational cost and error covariance of the proposed algorithm are analyzed analytically to show its distinct features compared with several existing *** results illustrate that the proposed Bayesian filtering can maintain a higher estimation accuracy with reasonable computational cost when applied to high-dimensional linear systems.

Exploring the impacts of major events on the systemic risk of the international energy market

This study examines the systemic risk caused by major events in the international energy market(IEM)and proposes a management strategy to mitigate it. Using the tail-event driven network(TENET)method, this study constructed a tail-risk spillover network(TRSN) of IEM and simulated the dynamic spillover tail-risk process through the cascading failure mechanism. The study found that renewable energy markets contributed more to systemic risk during the Paris Agreement and the COVID-19pandemic, while fossil energy markets played a larger role during the Russia-Ukraine conflict. This study identifies systemically important markets(SM) and critical tail-risk spillover paths as potential sources of systemic risk. The research confirms that cutting off the IEM risk spillover path can greatly reduce systemic risk and the influence of SM. This study offers insights into the management of systemic risk in IEM and provides policy recommendations to reduce the impact of shock events.

Surface integrity evolution during creep feed profile grinding ofγ-TiAl blade tenon

Gamma titanium-aluminum(γ-TiAl)intermetallic compounds are increasingly used in manufacturing key hot-end components(e.g.,blade tenon)in aero engines due to their high specific strength and lightweight *** feed profile grinding(CFPG)as a crucial precision process that is applied to produce the final profile of the blade ***,sudden surface burns and microcracks of machined c-TiAl blade tenon often occur because of its low plasticity and high strength during grinding processes,leading to poor surface *** this work,CFPG experiments based on the profile characteristics ofγ-TiAl blade tenon were performed and an associated undeformed chip thickness model considering grain–workpiece contact condition was established to explore the evolution of the surface ***,the surface integrity was analyzed at different positions of the blade tenon in terms of surface roughness and morphology,metallographic structure,microhardness,and residual *** show that the profile characteristics of blade tenon have a significant influence on machined surface integrity because of the thermomechanical effect at various detecting *** residual stress was established based on the undeformed chip thickness model considering the profile structure,with a prediction error of 10%–15%.The thermomechanical effect is more obvious at the bottom area,where the surface roughness,work hardening degree,and subsurface plastic deformation range are the largest,while the values at the bevel area are the *** on the undeformed chip thickness model,a residual stress finite element simulation was conducted by employing thermomechanical coupled *** addition,the error between the simulation and the experiment was between 10%–15%.Strain and strain rate equations were established through the relationship between material displacement and *** average strain and strain rate of the ground surface when ap is 1.0 mm are 18.8%and 33.2%l

Nontraditional energy-assisted mechanical machining of difficult-to-cut materials and components in aerospace community:a comparative analysis

The aerospace community widely uses difficult-to-cut materials,such as titanium alloys,high-temperature alloys,metal/ceramic/polymer matrix composites,hard and brittle materials,and geometrically complex components,such as thin-walled structures,microchannels,and complex *** machining is the main material removal process for the vast majority of aerospace ***,many problems exist,including severe and rapid tool wear,low machining efficiency,and poor surface *** energy-assisted mechanical machining is a hybrid process that uses nontraditional energies(vibration,laser,electricity,etc)to improve the machinability of local materials and decrease the burden of mechanical *** provides a feasible and promising method to improve the material removal rate and surface quality,reduce process forces,and prolong tool ***,systematic reviews of this technology are lacking with respect to the current research status and development *** paper reviews the recent progress in the nontraditional energy-assisted mechanical machining of difficult-to-cut materials and components in the aerospace *** addition,this paper focuses on the processing principles,material responses under nontraditional energy,resultant forces and temperatures,material removal mechanisms,and applications of these processes,including vibration-,laser-,electric-,magnetic-,chemical-,advanced coolant-,and hybrid nontraditional energy-assisted mechanical ***,a comprehensive summary of the principles,advantages,and limitations of each hybrid process is provided,and future perspectives on forward design,device development,and sustainability of nontraditional energy-assisted mechanical machining processes are discussed.

Differences in both the structure and interaction of the crust and mantle on the eastern and western sides of the Ordos Block

The Ordos Block, the western part of the North China Craton (NCC), has preserved most of its cratonic lithospheric roots during the destruction and modification of the NCC, and nowconnects two distinctly different tectonic units, i.e., the Tibetan Plateau (TP) to the west and the North China Plain to the east. It is important to studythe detailed crust-mantle structure of the Ordos Block and surroundings to understand the interactions between the Ordos and adjacent regions and the dynamics of the NCC evolution. In this study, the S-wave velocity structure at depths of 0–100 km along an E-W profile at around 36.5°N from the Qilian orogen (QLO) to the Trans-North China Orogen (TNCO) within the NCC was investigated by joint inversion of the receiver functions (RFs) and surface wave dispersion data from 104 broadband seismic stations deployed in the region under the ChinArray project (Phase Ⅱ and Phase Ⅲ). The image of discontinuity structures along the profile was further constructed by common conversion point stacking of RFs. The main results are as follows:(1) The depth of the Moho in the study region gradually decreases from west to east, being the deepest in the QLO, the second in the Ordos Block, and the shallowest in the TNCO. Local depression and uplift of the Moho are also identified beneath the Haiyuan fault zone and the Shanxi-Shaanxi rift system (SSR), respectively.(2) The crust-mantle structure displays obvious lateral heterogeneities among tectonic regions. A pronounced low-velocity anomaly is observed at depths of 20–40 km beneath the QLO and becomes weakened and thinned to the east, indicating that thickening of the mid-to-lower crust probably occurred in the QLO during the growth and lateral extrusion of the northeastern TP under the resistance of the NCC.
