Background:Shenzao dripping pill(SZDP)is empirically prescribed for treating cardiac ***,there is a lack of comprehensive knowledge regarding the underlying mechanisms contributing to its therapeutic *** objective of this study is to investigate the underlying mechanism of SZDP against chronic myocardial ischemia(CMI)in a rat ***:In this study,we utilized electrocardiographic and echocardiographic detection along with pathological tissue analysis to evaluate the efficacy of *** integration of network pharmacology and metabolomics was conducted to investigate the *** docking and molecular dynamics simulations were used to validate the binding energy between the compounds of SZDP and the associated ***:The results showed that SZDP was able to improve T wave voltage,reverse CMI abnormalities in ejection fraction and fractional shortening,and restore histopathological heart *** results indicated that disturbances of metabolic profile in CMI rats were partly corrected after SZDP administration,mainly affecting purine metabolism.13-Docosenamide may be the potential metabolic biomarker of the therapeutic application of SZDP for *** network pharmacology and metabolomics,thiopurine S-methyltransferase(TPMT),xanthine dehydrogenase/oxidase(XDH),bifunctional purine biosynthesis protein ATIC(ATIC),and cytochrome p4501A1(CYP1A1)were identified as possible targets of SZDP to exert therapeutic effects by enhancing the metabolic levels of L-Tryptophan,Deoxyribose 1-phosphate and Phosphoribosyl ***:SZDP has a therapeutic effect on CMI by regulating metabolite levels,acting on the targets of TMPT,XDH,ATIC,and CYP1A1,and reducing cardiomyocyte injury and myocardial fibrosis.

Pressure nitric acid leaching of alkali-pretreated low-grade limonitic laterite

The pressure nitric acid leaching of alkali-pre- treated low-grade limonitic laterite, as well as removing impurity AI（III） and preparing intermediate product of nickel/cobalt sulphide from leaching liquor were investi- gated. After pretreatment, iron exists in the form of amorphous iron oxides, while nickel is adsorbed on the surface of iron oxides in the form of nickel oxide. The preferable pressure leaching conditions are determined as follows： leaching temperature of 458 K, leaching duration of 60 min, initial acidity of nitric acid of 1.90 mol.L-~ and liquid to solid ratio of 3：1 （volume to mass ratio）. Under these conditions, the leaching efficiencies of Ni, Co and A1 are 95 %, 88 % and 55 %, respectively, and that of Fe is less than 1%. The loss rates of Ni and Co are 1.8 % and 1.5 %, respectively, during the step of removing impurity AI（III）. The sulphide precipitation process produces the interim production of nickel/cobalt sulphides, recovering greater than 99 % of Ni and Co in the purified solution. The iron-rich （〉60 %） pressure leaching residue with low Cr, S can be further reclaimed as the raw materials for iron making.

Experiences and Research Perspectives on Sustainable Development of Rice-Wheat Cropping Systems in the Chengdu Plain, China

The rice and wheat cropping pattern is one of the main cropping systems in the world. A large number of research results showed that successive cropping of rice and wheat resulted in a series of problems such as hindering nutrition absorption, gradual degeneration of soil fertility, decline of soil organic matter, and increased incidence of diseases and pests. In China, especially in the Chengdu plain where rice-wheat cropping system is practiced, productivity and soil fertility was enhanced and sustained. This paper reviews the relevant data and experiences on rice-wheat cropping in the Chengdu Plain from 1977 to 2006. The principal sustainable strategies used for rice-wheat cropping systems in Chengdu Plain included： 1） creating a favorable environment and viable rotations; 2） balanced fertilization for maintenance of sustainable soil productivity; 3） improvement of crop management for higher efficiency; and 4） use the newest cultivars and cultivation techniques to upgrade the production level. Future research is also discussed in the paper as： 1） the constant topic： a highly productive and efficient rice-wheat cropping system for sustainable growth; 2） the future trend： simplified cultivation techniques for the rice-wheat cropping system; 3） the foundation： basic research for continuous innovation needed for intensive cropping. It is concluded that in the rice-wheat cropping system, a scientific and reasonable tillage/cultivation method can not only avoid the degradation of soil productivity, but also maintain sustainable growth in the long run.

ApoB/apoA1 is an effective predictor of coronary heart disease risk in overweight and obesity

We investigated the relationship of apoB/apoA1 ratio and coronary heart disease （CHD） in persons who were overweight or obese. The subjects were divided by the body mass indexes （BMI） into the normal weight group （n=397, BMI〈24 kg/m2） and the overweight group （n=400, BMI〉24 kg/m2）. Our results showed that the overweight group had higher blood pressure [（130.15±19.01） mmHg vs （123.66±18.70） mmHg] and higher levels of blood sugar [（7.09±2.89） mmol/L vs （6.21±2.59） mmol/L], triglyceride [（1.93±1.19） mmol/L vs （1.44 ±0.85） mmol/L], total cholesterol [（4.26±1.06） mmol/L vs （4.09±0.99） mmol/L], low-density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C） [（2.56±0.75） mmol/L vs （2.39±0.72） mmol/L], and apoB [（0.83±0.27） mg/L vs （0.78±0.23） mg/L], and a higher apoB/apoA1 ratio （0.83 ±0.27 vs 0.75±0.25） and lower levels high-density lipoprotein cholesterol [（1.10±0.26） mmol/L vs （1.21±0.31） mmol/L] and apoA1 [（1.04±0.20） mg/L vs （1.08±0.22） mg/L] than those of the normal weight group （all P 〈 0.05）. The prevalence of CHD in the over-weight group in the lowest LDL quartile was almost twice greater than that of the highest apoB/apoA1 quartile, compared with the subjects in the lowest apoB/apoA1 quartile. The higher apoB/apoA1 quartile was in agreement with the higher prevalence of CHD. In the overweight and obesity group, the area under ROC curve （AUC） was the highest for apoB/apoA1 （0.655）. The cut-off point of apoB/apoA1 for optimal sensitivity and specificity was at 0.80, with a sensitivity of 57.19% and a specificity of 71.72%. In conclusion, apoB and apoA1 were simple clinical indicators, and the apoB/apoA1 ratio was closely related with CHD in overweight and obese patients. The apoB/apoA1 ratio may provide some useful information in the differential diagnosis.

Deep cleaning of a metallurgical zinc leaching residue and recovery of valuable metals

Huge quantities of zinc leaching residues(ZLRs) generated from zinc production are dumped continuously around the world and pose a potential environmental threat because of their considerable amounts of entrained heavy metals(mainly lead). Most ZLRs have not been properly treated and the valuable metals in them have not yet been effectively recovered. Herein, the deep cleaning of a ZLR and recovery of valuable metals via a hydrometallurgical route were investigated. The cleaning process consists of two essential stages: acid leaching followed by calcium chloride leaching. The optimum conditions for extracting zinc, copper, and indium by acid leaching were a sulfuric acid concentration of 200 g·L^(-1), a liquid/solid ratio of 4:1(m L/g), a leaching time of 2 h, and a temperature of 90°C. For lead and silver extractions, the optimum conditions were a calcium chloride concentration of 400 g·L^(-1), a pH value of 1.0, a leaching time of 1 h, and a temperature of 30°C. After calcium chloride leaching, silver and lead were extracted out and the lead was finally recovered as electrolytic lead by electrowinning. The anglesite phase, which poses the greatest potential environmental hazard, was removed from the ZLR after deep cleaning, thus reducing the cost of environmental management of ZLRs. The treatment of chlorine and spent electrolyte generated in the process was discussed.

Trifluoromethyl enable high-performance single-emitter white organic light-emitting devices based on quinazoline acceptor

Single-emitter white organic light-emitting diode(WOLED) based on small organic molecule exhibits great potential in simplifying fabrication process of WOLEDs. However, the design and synthesis of molecule for highly efficient single-emitter WOLED still remains a challenge. Herein, two asymmetric donor-acceptor-acceptor'(D-A-A') type molecule(PTZ-PQ-F and PTZ-PQ-CF3) are developed by employing trifluoromethyl(CF_(3)) or fluorine atom as secondary acceptor, which can exhibit white lighting with dual emission bands consisting of blue traditional fluorescence from quasi-axial(ax) conformer and orange thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF) from quasi-equatorial(eq) conformer. The introduction of CF_(3) into PTZ-PQ-CF3 greatly enhanced the photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY) by suppressing the nonradiative deactivation. Owing to electron-inductive-effect of CF3, the “eq” conformer of PTZ-PQCF3 exhibits a much smaller ΔESTof 0.01 e V to realize more efficient reverse intersystem crossing(RISC)process, and then enhance the exciton utilization(nearly 100%) of the whole dual emission system. Consequently, single-emitter WOLEDs based on PTZ-PQ-CF3 show nearly standard white emission with EQE of 13.0% and CIE of(0.35, 0.36) in m CP host and show warm white emission with high EQE of 25.5%and CIE of(0.40, 0.47) in 35 Dcz PPy host, which are the best performance among reported single-emitter WOLEDs.

Efficacy and Safety of Bufei Jiedu Granules in Treating Multidrug-Resistant Pulmonary Tuberculosis:A Multi-center,Double-Blinded and Randomized Controlled Trial

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of Bufei Jiedu(BFJD) Granules as adjuvant therapy for patients with multidrug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis(MDR-PTB). Methods: A large-scale, multi-center, double-blinded, and randomized controlled trial was conducted in 18 sentinel hospitals in China from December 2012 to December 2016. A total of 312 MDR-PTB patients were randomly assigned to BFJD Granules or placebo groups(1:1) using a stratified randomization method, which both received the long-course chemotherapy regimen for 18 months(6 Am-Lfx-P-Z-Pto, 12 Lfx-P-Z-Pto). Meanwhile, patients in both groups also received BFJD Granules or placebo twice a day for a total of 18 months, respectively. The primary outcome was cure rate. The secondary outcomes included time to sputum-culture conversion, changes in lung cavities and quality of life(QoL) of patients. Adverse reactions were monitored during and after the trial. Results: A total of 216 cases completed the trial, 111 in the BFJD Granules group and 105 in the placebo group. BFJD Granules, as adjuvant treatment, increased the cure rate by 13.6% at the end of treatment, compared with the placebo(58.4% vs. 44.8%, P=0.02), and accelerated the median time to sputum-culture conversion(5 months vs. 11 months). The cavity closure rate of the BFJD Granules group(50.6%, 43/85) was higher than that of the placebo group(32.1%, 26/81;P=0.02) in patients who completed the treatment. At the end of the intensive treatment, according to the 36-item Short Form, the BFJD Granules significantly improved physical functioning, general health, and vitality of patients relative to the placebo group(all Plusions: Supplementing BFJD Granules with the long-course chemotherapy regimen significantly increased the cure rate and cavity closure rate, and rapidly improved QoL of pati
