Pilot-scale testing on catalytic hydrolysis of carbonyl sulfur combined with absorption-oxidation of H_(2)S for blast furnace gas purification

About 70%of the flue gas in the iron-steel industry has achieved multi-pollutant ultra-low emissions in China until 2023,and then the blast furnace gas purification has become the control step and *** research group has designed and constructed the world’s first blast furnace gas desulfurization pilot plant with the scale of 2000 Nm^(3)/h in October *** pilot plant is a two-step combined desulfurization device including catalytic hydrolysis of carbonyl sulfur(COS)and absorption-oxidation of H_(2)S,continuously running for 120 *** the hydrolysis system,one reason for catalyst deactivation has been verified from the sulfur *** in blast furnace gas can be hydrolyzed on the hydrolysis catalyst to produce the nitrogen deposition,which is one of the reasons for catalyst deactivation and has never been found in previous *** deposition forms of S and N elements are determined,S element forms elemental sulfur and sulfate,while N element forms-NH_(2)and NH_(4)^(+).In the absorption-oxidation system,the O_(2)loading and the residence time have been optimized to control the oxidation of HS^(−)to produce elemental sulfur instead of by-product S_(2)O_(3)^(2−).The balance and distribution of S and N elements have been calculated for thewholemulti-phase system,approximately 84.4%of the sulfur is converted to solid sulfur product,about 1.3%of the sulfur and 19.2%of N element are deposited on the hydrolysis *** pilot plant provides technical support formulti-pollutant control of blast furnace.

The Northeast Plain in China ranks among the top five regions that have been significantly impacted by haze *** effectively control pollution,it is crucial to accurately assess the effects of emission reduction *** this study,we analyzed surveillance data and found substantial decreases(ranging from 19.0%to 50.1%)in average annual mass concentrations of key pollutants(such as CO,SO_(2),NO_(2),and PM_(2.5))in the Northeast Plain from 2016 to *** precisely determine the contributions of meteorological conditions and emission reductions to the improvement of air quality in the Northeast Plain,we conducted three scenario *** comparing source emissions in December 2016 and 2020 using the WRF-Chem model(except for SO_(2)),we observed significant reductions of 21.3%,8.8%,and 9.8%in mass concentrations of PM_(2.5),NO_(2),and CO,respectively,from 2016 to *** highlights the essential role that meteorological conditions play in determining air quality in the Northeast ***,further reducing source emissions by 30%in December 2016 resulted in subsequent reductions of 25.3%,29.0%,4.5%,and 30.3%in mass concentrations of PM_(2.5),SO_(2),NO_(2),and CO,respectively,under the same meteorological ***,source emission reduction was effective for PM_(2.5),SO_(2),and CO,but not for NO_(2).The improvement in air quality in the Northeast Plain from 2016 to 2020 can be attributed to the combined effects of improved meteorological conditions and reduced pollution sources.

The railway point machine plays an important part in railway systems. It is closely related to the safe operation of trains. Considering the advantages of vibration signals on anti-interference, this paper develops a novel vibration signal-based diagnosis approach for railway point machines. First, variational mode decomposition(VMD)is adopted for data preprocessing, which is verified more effective than empirical mode decomposition. Next, multiscale permutation entropy is extracted to characterize the fault features from multiple scales. Then ReliefF is utilized for feature selection, which can greatly decrease the feature dimension and improve the diagnosis accuracy. By experiment comparisons, the proposed approach performs best on diagnosis for railway point machines. The diagnosis accuracies on reverse-normal and normal-reverse processes are respectively 100% and 98.29%.

Covalent organic frameworks（COFs） are promising materials for mitigating polysulfide shuttling in lithium-sulfur（Li-S） batteries,but enhancing their ability to convert polysulfides across a wide temperature range remains a challenge,Herein,we introduce a redox-active COF（RaCOF） that functions as both a physical barrier and a kinetic enhancer to improve the temperature adaptability of Li-S batteries,The RaCOF constructed from redox-active anthraquinone units accelerates polysulfide conversion kinetics through reversible C=O/C-OLi transformations within a voltage range of 1,7 to 2.8 V（***+/Li）,optimizing sulfur redox reactions in ether-based *** conventional COFs,RaCOF provides bidentate trapping of polysulfides,increasing binding energy and facilitating more effective polysulfide ***-situ XRD and ToF-SIMS analyses confirm that RaCOF enhances polysulfide adsorption and promotes the transformation of lithium sulfide（Li2S）,leading to better sulfur cathode ***,RaCOF-modified Li-S batteries demonstrate low self-discharge（4.0% decay over a 7-day rest）,excellent wide-temperature performance（stable from-10 to+60℃）,and high-rate cycling stability（94% capacity retention over 500 cycles at 5.0 C）.This work offers valuable insights for designing COF structures aimed at achieving temperature-adaptive performance in rechargeable batteries.

P-tuned FeN2 binuclear sites for boosted CO2 electro-reduction

The recycling of CO2through electrochemical processes offers a promising solution for alleviating the greenhouse effect;however,the activation of CO2and desorption of*CO in electrocatalytic CO2reduction（ECR） frequently encounter high energy barriers and competitive hydrogen evolution reactions（HERs）,which are urgent problems that need to be *** this study,a catalyst(P100-Fe-N/C) with homogeneous P-tuned FeN2binuclear sites（N2PFe-FePN2） was successfully synthesised,demonstrating satisfactory performance in the ECR to CO.P100-Fe-N/C attains a peak FECOof 98.01% and a normalized TOF of664.7 h-1at-0.7 VRHE,surpassing the performance of the Fe binuclear catalyst without P and singleatoms *** the MEA cell,a FECOexceeding 90% can still be *** functional theory analysis indicates that the asymmetric coordination configuration induced by the incorporation of P facilitates a reduction in the system's *** modulation of P results in the d-band centre of the catalyst being positioned closer to the Fermi level,which facilitates the interaction of the catalyst with CO2,allowing more electrons to be injected into the CO2molecule at the Fe binuclear sites and inhibiting the *** P-tuned FeN2binuclear sites effectively lower the*CO desorption barrier.

Effects of Exogenous NO Combined with EDDS on Growth and Cd Accumulation of Bidens pilosa under Soil Cd Stress Conditions

Under 40 mg·kg-1 Cd stress，pot experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of 0.05，0.10，0.20，and 0.30 mmol·L-1 sodium nitroprusside（SNP）and 0.50，1.00，and 1.50 mmol·L-1［S，S］-ethylenediamine disuccinic acid（EDDS）on the growth，metabolism，and Cd accumulation of Bidens pilosa seedlings. The results showed that compared with those of the control group（without SNP and EDDS），different concentrations of SNP or EDDS single treatment could significantly increase the plant height，root length，fresh weight，and dry weight of aboveground and underground parts of B. pilosa and effectively increase the photosynthetic pigment content and Cd content in the aboveground and underground parts. The combined treatment of different concentrations of SNP and EDDS could effectively promote the growth of B. pilosa，and some growth indices and Cd accumulation indices were higher than those of the single treatment of SNP and EDDS at the same concentration. Among them，the 0.20 mmol·L-1 SNP + 1.00 mmol·L-1 EDDS composite treatment had the following effects：① The treatment significantly promoted the biomass of B. pilosa and increased the plant height and fresh and dry weight of aboveground and underground parts by 39.47%，142.32% and 267.63%，and 377.63% and 304.55%，respectively. ② It significantly improved the remediation effect of B. pilosa on Cd-contaminated soil，and the Cd content，enrichment coefficient，remediation efficiency，and transport coefficient of aboveground and underground parts of B. pilosa were increased by 91.22% and 81.51%，101.71%，and 91.37%，641.67%，and 5.14%，respectively，and the Cd content and enrichment coefficient of aboveground parts were significantly higher than those of underground parts. ③ The treatment also significantly increased the Cd content in subcellular fractions of B. pilosa，the Cd content in the cell wall and soluble part was higher than that in the organelle and mitochondrial parts，and the Cd content in subcellular fractions of the aboveground part was also
