Linear Dynamic Viscoelastic Response of Melts for Crosslinkable Polyethylene Insulation Cable Granules During Cross-linking

Two commercial crosslinkable polyethylene insulation cable granules, designed for 110 and 35 kV voltage insulation, with similar crosslinking temperature but different melting temperature, were chosen as experimental samples for examining their linear dynamic responses during cross-linking. It has been found that the gel contents of cable compounds for 110 and 35 kV insulation are almost the same after they have been cross-linked at the same temperature, pressure and time. And the sample melts show the similar dependence of the dynamic storage modulus, G; on strain. On the other hand, the dynamic temperature ramp test and the dynamic time sweep test indicate that the samples exhibit different dynamic viscoelastic responses during their crosslinking. An expression for describing their erosslinking process was proposed via probing rheokinetics of crosslinking for the two samples.

Tetracycline selective electrode using molecularly imprinted polymer particles as quasi-ionophore was constructed the first time, and its performance was carefully characterized. Due to the specific recognition of tetracycline by the particles, the selectivity coefficients for routine interferences were less than 10-4. Benefited from the absence of tetracycline in the sensitive membrane and the optimized composition of the inner filling solution, the limit of detection of the electrode was reduced to about 2.5 × 10^-8 mol/ L. It exhibited a good electrode slope 57.6 mV/decade near the theoretical Nernstian one, with a wide linear working range from 6.0 × 10^-8 to 1.0 × 10^-3 mol/L. The fabricated electrode should be used in pH 2.-4, response time of which was less than 2.0 s when the concentration of tetracycline was higher than 1.0 × 10^-6 mol/L and no more than 30 min at the concentration of 1.0 × 10^-8 mol/L.

Pulsed field gradient nuclear magnetic resonance （PFG NMR） has been performed to study the diffusion of organic solvents into semicrystalline polyethylene particles. Self-diffusion coefficients in different domains of the sample can be extracted through a bi- exponential fit to the echo intensity attenuation, which allows the precise determination of the tortuosity of the polyethylene particles. Further exploration comes from the measurements with branched polyethylene particles and it was found that the diffusion in polymer phase contributed significantly to the slow component of the exponential decay curve. 2.07 Jing Dai Wang. To functionalize poly（vinyl chloride）（PVC） for various applications, monomers containing tertiary amine group are incorporated into PVC via atom transfer radical polymerization（ATRP） initiated by the labile chlorines in their backbones. The kinetics of synthesis was carefully investigated, and it is proven that the grafting polymerization process can be effectively controlled by regulating the reaction time. The membranes are fabricated using PVC and copolymers by non-solvent induced phase separation（NIPS） process. The hydrophilicity and pore structure of copolymer membranes were enhanced as well, these membranes are endowed with positive charge. When PDMA%（i.e., the PDMA weight percentage in copolymer） is 31.1%, the flux and Victoria blue B rejection are 2..0 L·m·^-2.h^-1（0.5 MPa） and 91.2., respectively. Thus, the newly synthesized polymer is proven to be a promising material for dye separation with positive charges.

In this study, a series of aryloxy-aluminoxanes originated directly from the hydrolysis of reaction products of A1Me3 and phenols were synthesized, which could serve as effective polymer-retarding activators for the iron-catalyzed ethylene oligomerization. The molar ratios of [PhOH]/[AlMe3] and [H2.]/[Al] during the preparation were explored and their impacts on the oligomerization activity and product distribution were discussed. To obtain the effective activators with good polymer-retarding effect and relatively high activity, the optimized conditions were proposed to be [PhOH]/[AlMe3] = 0.5 and [H2.]/[Al] = 0.7. Various aluminoxanes with different [-OH] sources confirmed the importance of using phenols in preparing the effective polymer-retarding activators. By utilizing these aryloxy-aluminoxanes, the mass fraction of polymers in the total products could be reduced to lower than 1.0 wt%, which is much lower than that of the MAO-activated systems （〉 30 wt%）. This is a potential benefit for the industrial application of the iron-catalyzed oligomerization process.

Substituting liquid electrolytes with solid elec-trolytes is considered as an important strategy to solve the problem of flammability and explosion for traditional lithium-ion batteries(LIB).However,neither inorganic solid electrolytes(ISE)nor solid polymer electrolytes(SPE)alone can meet the operating requirements for room-temperature(RT)all-solid-state lithium metal batteries(ASSLMB).Here,we report a three-dimensional(3D)nanofiber framework reinforced polyethylene oxide(PEO)-based composite polymer electrolytes(CPE)through con-structing a nanofiber framework combining polyacryloni-trile(PAN)and fast Li-ion conductor Li_(0.33)La_(0.557)TiO_(3)(LLTO)framework by electrospinning ***-while,the PEO electrolyte filled in the pores of the PAN/LLTO nanofiber framework can effectively isolate the direct contact between the chemically active Ti^(4+)in LLTO with lithium metal,thereby avoiding the occurrence of interfacial *** electrochemical stability makes a wide electrochemical window up to 4.8 V with an ionic conductivity of about 9.87×10^(-5)S·cm^(-1)at *** from the excellent lithium dendrite growth inhibition ability of 3D PAN/LLTO nanofiber framework,especially when the mass of LLTO reaches twice that of the PAN,Li/Li symmetric cell could cycle stably for 1000 h without a short *** addition,under 30℃,the LiFePO_(4)/Li ASSLMB using such CPE delivers large capacities of 156.2.and 140 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.2. and 0.5C,*** results provide a new insight for the development of the next generation of safe,high-perfor-mance ASSLMBs.

If a person comes into contact with pathogens on public facilities,there is a threat of contact(skin/wound)*** urgently,there are also reports about COVID-19 coronavirus contact infection,which once again reminds that contact infection is a very easily overlooked disease exposure ***,we propose an innovative implantation strategy to fabricate a multi-walled carbon nanotube/polyvinyl alcohol(MWCNT/PVA,MCP)interpenetrating interface to achieve flexibility,anti-damage,and non-contact sensing electronic skin(E-skin).Interestingly,the MCP E-skin had a fascinating non-contact sensing function,which can respond to the finger approaching 0−2. mm through the spatial weak *** non-contact sensing can be applied urgently to human–machine interactions in public facilities to block *** scratches of the fruit knife did not damage the MCP E-skin,and can resist chemical corrosion after hydrophobic *** addition,the MCP E-skin was developed to real-time monitor the respiratory and cough for exercise detection and disease ***,the MCP E-skin has great potential for emergency applications in times of infectious disease pandemics.

Both terminated functional isotactic polypropylene （iPP） and block copolymers containing iPP segment are desirable for commercial applications. This paper provides a convenient, highly-efficient method to prepare hydroxyl-terminated isotactic polypropylene （iPP-t-OH） and functional di-block copolymer containing the iPP segment through a combination of coordination polymerization and coupling reaction. The coordination polymerization was catalyzed by TiCI4/MgCI2.AIEt3 catalyst system using ZnEt2.as chain transfer agent. Further, the Zn-terminated iPP was oxidized and subsequently hydrolyzed to provide iPP-t-OH. Soxhlet extraction and 13C NMR were used to calculate the isotacticity of iPP-t-OH. The degree of polymerization and the number of hydroxyl groups at the chain end of iPP-t-OH were measured by GPC and 1H NMR. Despite the high molecular weight and heterogeneous reaction, iPP-t-OH is effectively linked with PEG-t-NCO to produce di-block copolymers. DSC analysis of the di-block copolymer shows an obvious decrease in Tm and To, which indicated that PEG was successfully linked to the terminal end of iPP.

Poly（phenylacetylene）s beating monosaccharide pendant groups are synthesized in high yields by [Rh（nbd）Cl]2.catalyst. The polymers have high molecular weights and give satisfactory spectroscopic data corresponding to their molecular structures. They are thermally quite stable （≥ 300℃） and show strong circular dichroism signals in the visible spectral region owing to the helicity of the polyene backbone. The monosaccharide-containing polyacetylenes are cytophilic and can stimulate the growth of living cells.
