How the enhanced East Asian summer monsoon regulates total gross primary production in eastern China

Recognizing the relationship between gross primary production(GPP)and precipitation in eastern China,the East Asian Summer Monsoon(EASM)plays a crucial role in shaping *** confirmation of the strong link between EASM and GPP,there remains a notable research gap in understanding the specific impact of the EASM on GPP in different regions of eastern *** we used simulations from Trends in Net Land-Atmosphere Carbon Exchanges(TRENDY)models from 1951 to 2010 and divided eastern China into five subregions for the *** also used the New East Asian Summer Monsoon Index(NEWI)as a quantitative metric to distinguish between periods of strong and weak *** on this,this study aims to investigate the response of GPP in different subregions of eastern ***,under strengthened EASM years(1954,1957,1965,1969,1977,1980,1983,1987,1993 and 1998),East China experienced the most pronounced increase in GPP at 12±21(mean±1 sigma)gC m^(-2) mon^(-1) compared to the weak EASM years(1958,1961,1972,1973,1978,1981,1985,1994,1997 and 2004).In contrast,Southwest China showed a decline in GPP at-4±10 gC m^(-2) mon^(-1).Moreover,GPP also increased in Northeast and North China when EASM strengthened,while South China showed a decline in *** indicated that GPP changed with monsoon *** to the mechanism analysis,during strong EASM,there was intense moisture convergence through alterations in the atmospheric circulation field over East China and abundant precipitation,which further contributed to the increase in *** solar radiation in Southwest China decreased with EASM enhancement,which suppressed GPP and hindered vegetation ***,the results highlight the importance of accurately predicting the impact of different EASM intensities of regional carbon fluxes.

The aquaporins(AQP)are a family of integral membrane proteins that selectivelytransport water and,in some cases,small neutral solutes such as glycerol *** mammalian AQP have been molecularly identified and localized tovarious epithelial,endothelial and other *** studies of transgenicmouse models of AQP knockout,mutation,and in some cases humans with AQPmutations have demonstrated essential roles for AQP in mammalian physiologyand pathophysiology,including urinary concentrating function,exocrine glandu-lar fluid secretion,brain edema formation,regulation of intracranial and intraocu-lar pressure,skin hydration,tat metabolism,tumor angiogenesis and cell *** studies suggest that AQP may be potential drug targets for not only newdiuretic reagents for various forms of pathological water retention,but also tar-gets for novel therapy of brain edema,inflammatory disease,glaucoma,obesity,and ***,potent AQP modulators for in vivo application remain to bediscovered.

Reinforcing oxygen electrocatalytic activity via selective dualphase heterointerface engineering for rechargeable Zn-air batteries

Dual-phase heterointerface electrocatalysts(DPHE)constructed by oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)-and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)-active elements exhibit excellent bifunctional activity and long-term durability due to the abundant interface exposure and synergistic catalytic ***,low-dimensional N-doped graphene nanoribbons(N-GNRs)coupling with ultrathin CoO nanocomposites(N-GNRs/CoO)were controllably fabricated through a facile two-step approach using synthesized Co(OH)_2 nanosheet as CoO *** functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental characterizations prove that the formation of interface between N-GNRs and CoO can induce local charge redistribution,contributing to the improvement of catalytic activity and *** optimal N-GNRs/CoO DPHE possesses hierarchically porous architectures and presents outstanding bifunctional activities with a small potential gap of 0.729 V between the potential at 10 mA·cm^(-2)for OER and the halfwave potential for ORR,which outperforms Pt/C+IrO_(2)and the majority of noble-metal-free bifunctional ***-and solid-state rechargeable Zn-air batteries assembled with N-GNRs/CoO as the cathode also display high peak power density and fantastic cycle stability,superior to that of benchmark Pt/C+IrO_(2)*** is anticipated to offer significant benefits toward high activity,stability and mechanical flexibility bifunctional oxygen electrocatalysts for rechargeable Zn-air batteries.

Multi-field Split Curvature Wavefront Sensing and its Application in the Large Field Survey Telescope

The image quality of a large field survey telescope with a fast focal ratio of the primary mirror is high sensitivity to the optical elements’misalignments and the primary mirror’s *** maintain good optical performance,the perturbations need to be aligned,and the tomographic reconstruction of these perturbations can be derived from wavefront sensing with multi-field points for *** work undertakes a comprehensive examination related to the implementation and optimization of a multi-field split curvature wavefront sensing system,including defocus distance,signal pre-processing,deblending of overlapped doughnuts,field-dependent correction,and distorted coordinate *** also conduct experiments to demonstrate the application and performance of a multi-field split curvature wavefront sensing system in *** the context of the decentering of the secondary mirror,the coefficient of determination(R)attains a high value of 0.993,indicating a robust linearity between the coma coefficients and the decentering of the secondary mirror.A comparative analysis of the simulated and experimental results shows that the difference between them is less than 0.1λ.

Room-temperature test system for 162.5 MHz high-power couplers

Fundamental power couplers are crucial components for feeding radio frequency power to accelerating cavities. Couplers must be tested and conditioned on a room-temperature test stand to evaluate and potentially improve their performance before being installed in an accelerating cavity. A new test system has been designed and is under construction at the institute of modern *** this test system, multiple conditioning modes, including the pulse mode, CW mode, and amplitude-sweeping mode, have been embedded in the low-level radio frequency system of the test stand. All of these conditioning modes can be run manually or automatically. In addition, a novel test cavity is proposed and has been designed, which facilitates non-contact conditioning and a multi-purpose test stand.

Mechanical Modeling and Analysis of Stability Deterioration of Production Well During Marine Hydrate Depressurization Production

Different from oil and gas production,hydrate reservoirs are shallow and unconsolidated,whose mechanical properties deteriorate with hydrate ***,the formations will undergo significant subsidence during depressurization,which will destroy the original force state of the production ***,existing research on the stability of oil and gas production wells assumes the formation to be stable,and lacks consideration of the force exerted on the hydrate production well by formation subsidence caused by hydrate decomposition during *** fill this gap,this paper proposes an analytical method for the dynamic evolution of the stability of hydrate production well considering the effects of hydrate *** on the mechanical model of the production well,the basis for stability analysis has been proposed.A multi-field coupling model of the force state of the production well considering the effect of hydrate decomposition and formation subsidence is established,and a solver is *** analytical approach is verified by its good agreement with the results from the numerical method.A case study found that the decomposition of hydrate will increase the pulling-down force and reduce the supporting force,which is the main reason for the stability *** higher the initial hydrate saturation,the larger the reservoir thickness,and the lower the production pressure,the worse the stability or even *** work can provide a theoretical reference for the stability maintaining of the production well.

Magnesium-containing pellet regulating blast furnace ferrous burden interaction:softening-melting behavior and mechanism

MgO participates in all stages of sintering,pelletizing,and blast furnace ironmaking,and synergistically optimizing the distribution of MgO in ferrous burden can effectively enhance the interaction within the ferrous burdens and optimize the softening-melting properties of the mixed ***-containing pellets mixed with low-MgO sinter or mixed with high-MgO sinter in the blast furnace ferrous burden structure have opposite softening-melting performance *** the structure of the ferrous burden is magnesium-containing pellets mixed with low-MgO sinter,the magnesium-containing pellets can enhance the interaction of the ferrous burden in the process of softening-melting,which can optimize the composition of the slag phase and improve the slag *** the structure of the ferrous burden is magnesium-containing pellets mixed with high-MgO sinter,the magnesium-containing pellets weaken the interaction of the ferrous burden in the process of softening-melting,increase the content of the high melting point solid-phase particles in the slag,lead to an increase in the viscosity of the slag and difficult separation of the slag and iron,and decrease the permeability of the charge ***,to ensure good permeability of the mixed burden,the following measures are suggested:optimizing the MgO distribution of the ferrous burden,reducing the MgO content of the sinter to 1.96 wt.%,increasing the MgO content of the pellets to 1.03-1.30 wt.%,controlling the MgO/Al_(2)O_(3) ratio of the mixed burden within 1.15-1.32,narrowing the position of the cohesive zone,and maintaining an S value(permeability index)of approximately 150 kPa℃.

Variability Analysis for a Two-station Queueing Network in Heavy Traffic with Arrival Processes Driven by Queues

The law of the iterated logarithm(liL)for the performance measures of a two-station queueing network with arrivals modulated by independent queues is developed by a strong approximation *** convenience,two arrival processes modulated by queues comprise the external system,all others are belong to the internal *** is well known that the exogenous arrival has a great influence on the asymptotic variability of performance measures in *** the considered queueing network in heavy traffic,we get all the liLs for the queue length,workload,busy time,idle time and departure processes,and present them by some simple functions of the primitive *** liLs tell us some interesting insights,such as,the liLs of busy and idle times are zero and they reflect a small variability around their fluid approximations,the liL of departure has nothing to do with the arrival process,both of the two phenomena well explain the service station’s situation of being busy all the *** external system shows us a distinguishing effect on the performance measures:an underloaded(overloaded,critically loaded)external system affects the internal system through its arrival(departure,arrival and departure together).In addition,we also get the strong approximation of the network as an auxiliary result.

Energy modeling and optimization of building condenser water systems with all-variable speed pumps and tower fans:A case study

The emergence of building condenser water systems with all-variable speed pumps and tower fans allows for increased efficiency and flexibility of chiller plants in partial load operation but also increases the control complexity of condenser water *** study aims to develop an integrated modeling technique for evaluating and optimizing the energy performance of such a condenser water *** proposed system model is based on the semi-physical semi-empirical chiller,pump,and cooling tower models,with capabilities of fully considering the hydraulic and thermal interactions in the condenser water loop,being solved analytically and much faster than iterative solvers and supporting the explicit optimization of the pump and tower fan frequency.A mathematical approach,based on the system model and constrained optimization technique,is subsequently established to evaluate the energy performance of a typical dual setpoint-based variable speed strategy and find its energy-saving potential and most efficient operation by jointly optimizing pumps and tower *** all-variable speed chiller plant from Wuhan,China,is used for a case study to validate the system model’s accuracy and explore its *** results showed that the system model can accurately simulate the condenser water system’s performance under various operating *** optimizing the frequencies of pumps and tower fans,the total system energy consumption can be reduced by 12%–13%compared to the fixed dual setpoint-based strategy with range and approach setpoints of 4℃and 2℃.In contrast,the energy-saving potential of optimizing the cooling tower sequencing is insignificant.A simple joint speed control method for optimizing the pumps and tower fans emerged,i.e.,the optimal pump and fan frequency are linearly correlated(if both are non-extremes)and depend on the chiller part load ratio only,irrespective of the ambient wet-bulb temperature and chilled water supply *** was also foun
