In this paper, a technique is presented to determine the stability margin of the discrete systems using recursiv. algorithm for power of companion matrix and Gerschgorin Theorem and hence sufficient condition of stability is obtained. The method is illustrated with an example and it is compared with other methods proposed in the literature. The results hav. applications in the filter design.

An image consists of large data and requires more space in the memory. The large data results in more transmission time from transmitter to receiv.r. The time consumption can be reduced by using data compression techniques. In this technique, it is possible to eliminate the redundant data contained in an image. The compressed image requires less memory space and less time to transmit in the form of information from transmitter to receiv.r. Artificial neural net- work with feed forward back propagation technique can be used for image compression. In this paper, the Bipolar Coding Technique is proposed and implemented for image compression and obtained the better results as compared to Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique. Howev.r, the LM algorithm is also proposed and implemented which can acts as a powerful technique for image compression. It is observ.d that the Bipolar Coding and LM algorithm suits the best for image compression and processing applications.

In this paper, an analytical technique is presented for time domain analysis （transient and steady-state response） of perturbed PWM push-pull DC-DC conv.rter using interesting corollary on Kharitonov.s theorem. The main adv.ntage of the proposed analysis is that ev.n though the transfer function model of a PWM push-pull DC-DC conv.rter is perturbed, the complete analysis has been done on a linear transfer function model of a PWM push-pull DC-DC conv.rter. The proposed analysis is v.rified using MATLAB simulation. This analysis will be v.ry much useful to power electronics engineers, since the technique is v.ry simple and computationally efficient and easily applicable in precise applications such as aerospace applications.

The aim of present study was to use QbD approaches to ev.luate the effect of independent product v.riables and their interaction on particle size of sodium fluoride and then obtain the optimized experimental condition for predefined particle size of sodium fluoride. The sodium fluoride is mainly used in dental preparation for deliv.ring the fluoride ion to the tooth enamel for that nano-particle size is required. Nowadays the milling process is used to reduce the particle size. But that process has some limitations due to crystalline nature of sodium fluoride;for ov.rcoming those limitations, lyophilization method is used. A 43 lev.l full factorial design was used to study the significant influence of process and product v.riables i.e. 1) Concentration of sodium fluoride, 2) Concentration of Pv., 3) Sample v.lume, 4) Drying surface, on particle size of sodium fluoride. The experimental design result shows that independent product v.riables significantly modify the structure and improv. particle size reduction of sodium fluoride.

Objectiv.:The objectiv. of this study was to ev.luate the in v.tro antiplasmodial properties against malaria parasite in 15 plants mentioned in Indian traditional medicine ***:In v.tro antiplasmodial activ.ty of methanolic extracts obtained from Indian traditional medicinal plants was ev.luated on Plasmodium falciparum of FCK2 and INDO strains using schizont maturation inhibition assay and parasite lactate dehydrogenase inhibition ***:Methanolic extracts of Adhatoda zeylanica,Embelia ribes,Piper nigrum and Plumbago zeylanica exhibited more than 50%inhibition in both the stains in schizont maturation inhibition *** extracts of sev.n medicinal plants exhibited antiplasmodial activ.ty at half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50)v. medicinal plants exhibited antiplasmodial activ.ty at IC50v.ty in PfLDH inhibition *** and *** exhibited improv.d activ.ty against resistant in comparison to sensitiv. ***:*** and *** were the most promising extracts from this study and deserv. further inv.stigation of their antiplasmodial properties.

Photometric studies of two W UMa type v.riables in the field of distant open cluster NGC 6866

We present photometric analysis of the two W UMa type binaries identified in the field of distant open star cluster NGC 6866. Although these systems, namely ID487 and ID494, were reported by Joshi et al., a detailed study of these stars has not been carried out before. The orbital periods of these stars are found to be 0.415110±0.000001 day and 0.366709±0.000004 day, respectiv.ly. Based on the photometric and infrared colors, we find their respectiv. spectral types to be K0 and K3. The photometric light v.ri- ations of both stars show the O＇Connell effect which can be explained by employing a dark spot on the secondary components. The v.and I band light curv.s are analyzed using the Wilson-Dev.nney （WD） code and relations giv.n by Gazeas which yield radii and masses for the binary components of star ID487 of R1 = 1.24 ± 0.01R,R2 = 1.11 4- 0.02Re, and M1 = 1.24 ± 0.02Me, M2 = 0.96 ±0.05Me and for star ID494 of R1 = 1.22 ± 0.02Re, R2 = 0.81 4- 0.01 Re, and M1 = 1.20 4- 0.06 Me, M2 = 0.47 4- 0.01 Me.

AIM: To dev.lop a technique of combined endoscopic sclerotherapy and ligation (ESL) in which both techniques of endoscopic sclerotherapy (ES) and endoscopic v.riceal ligation (Ev.) can be optimally ***: ESL was performed in 10 patients (age 46.4±7.9;9 males, 1 female) with cirrhosis of liv.r using sclerotherapy needle and Speedband, Superv.ew multiple band ligater (Boston Scientific, Microv.siv., Watertown, MA). A single band was placed 5-10 cm proximal to the gastro-esophageal junction ov.r each v.rix from proximal to distal margin,followed by intrav.riceal injection of 1.5 % ethoxysclerol (4 ml each) 2 to 3 cm proximal to the gastroesophageal junction on the ligated v.rices distal to deployed band. Ev. was then performed at the injection site. Similarly other v.rices were also injected and ligated from distal to proximally. In the subsequent sessions, ES alone was performed to sclerose small v.rices at the gastroesophageal ***: ESL was successfully performed in all patients.A median of 3 (ESL 1, ES 2) sessions (ranged 1-4) were required to eradicate the v.rices in 9 (90 %) of 10 *** of v.rices without bleed was seen in 1 patient during a mean follow-up of 10.3 months (ranged 6-15).Two patients died of liv.r failure. None died of v.riceal bleeding. None of the patients had procedure related ***: ESL may be useful in the fast eradication of esophageal v.rices. Howev.r, randomised controlled trials are required to find out its relativ. efficacy and impact on v.riceal recurrence in comparison to ES or Ev..
