Gastroenteric tube feeding plays a major role in the management of patients with poor voluntary intake,chronic neurological or mechanical dysphagia or gut dysfunction,and patients who are critically ***,despite the benefits and widespread use of enteral tube feeding,some patients experience *** review aims to discuss and compare current knowledge regarding the clinical application of enteral tube feeding,together with associated complications and special *** conducted an extensive literature search on PubMed,Embase and Medline using index terms relating to enteral access,enteral feeding/nutrition,tube feeding,percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy/jejunostomy,endoscopic nasoenteric tube,nasogastric tube,and refeeding *** literature showed common routes of enteral access to include nasoenteral tube,gastrostomy and jejunostomy,while complications fall into four major categories:mechanical,e.g.,tube blockage or removal;gastrointestinal,e.g.,diarrhea;infectious e.g.,aspiration pneumonia,tube site infection;and metabolic,e.g.,refeeding syndrome,*** the type and frequency of complications arising from tube feeding vary considerably according to the chosen access route,gastrointestinal complications are without doubt the most *** associated with enteral tube feeding can be reduced by careful observance of guidelines,including those related to food composition,administration rate,portion size,food temperature and patient supervision.

TO THE EDITORWe read with great interest and a bit of surprise the article by Tonus et al. We would share herein our comments about it. The specificity of the fecal tumor M2 pyruvate kinase 0VI2-Pk） reported by Tonus et al for diagnosing colorectal cancer （CRC） is 93%. This is considerably higher than in any of the previously published studies. In our work, the maximum specificity of fecal M2- Pk is 78% （Table 1）. There is a vast difference of 15% between the previous studies and the current study of Tonus et al, which is difficult to explain. We are skeptical about such a high specificity reported by the authors.

A dissolution method with robust high performance liquid chromatographic （HPLC） analysis for im- mediate release tablet formulation was developed and validated to meet the requirement as per Inter- national Conference on Harmonization （ICH） and United States Food and Drug Administration （USFDA） guidelines. The method involved the use of Agilent ZORBAX Eclipse XDB C18 column, and temperature was maintained at 30 ℃. After optimization, the mobile phase was selected as phosphate buffer （kH2PO4, 30 mM）： ACN （60：40, v/v） with pH 3.0, and retention time Rt was found as 3.24, 4.16, and 2.55 min for paracetamol （PCM）, chlorpheniramine maleate （CPM） and phenylephrine hydrochloride （PH） respec- tively at 265 nm and at a flow rate of 1 mL/min. The relative standard deviation （%RSD） for 6 replicate measurements was found to be less than 2%. Furthermore net analyte signal standard addition method （NASSAM） with spectrophotometer was performed for standard and liquid oral suspension. On the basis of selectivity, sensitivity and accuracy analysis, it was confirmed that this novel method could be useful for simultaneous estimation of the given drug combinations. Two-way analysis of variance （ANOVA） was applied for evaluating the statistical difference between the assay results obtained via both NASSAM and RP-HPLC methods and ultimately no significant difference was found between both the methods. All the methods and results were acceptable and confirmed that the method was suitable for intended use.

Data publishing is an area of interest in present day technology that has gained huge attention of researchers and *** concept of data publishing faces a lot of security issues,indicating that when any trusted organization provides data to a third party,personal information need not be ***,to maintain the privacy of the data,this paper proposes an algorithm for privacy preserved collaborative data publishing using the Genetic Grey Wolf Optimizer(Genetic GWO)algorithm for which a C-mixture parameter is *** C-mixture parameter enhances the privacy of the data if the data does not satisfy the privacy constraints,such as the k-anonymity,l-diversity and the m-privacy.A minimum fitness value is maintained that depends on the minimum value of the generalized information loss and the minimum value of the average equivalence class *** minimum value of the fitness ensures the maximum utility and the maximum *** was carried out using the adult dataset,and the proposed Genetic GWO outperformed the existing methods in terms of the generalized information loss and the average equivalence class metric and achieved minimum values at a rate of 0.402 and 0.9,respectively.

Diversity and regeneration status of Sarkot Van Panchyat in Garhwal Himalaya, India

We investigated the floristic composition, phytosociological and regeneration status of Sarkot Van Panchyat （community forest） in Chamoli district of Garhwal Himalaya. A total of 52 plant species of 46 genera and 26 families were recorded, which included 12 trees, 18 shrubs and 22 herb species. Quercus leucotrichophora was dominant tree species in sapling and seedling layers, followed by Lyonia ovalifolia and Rhododendron arboreum. Out of 12 tree species, 7 species in seedling stage and 8 species in sapling stage were recorded in the study area. The 44.41% species in the study area showed good regeneration status, 16.66% species were fairly regenerating, and 8.33% species showed poor regeneration status, while 33% species were not regenerating. Number of individuals from lower girth classes （0--10 cm and 10-30 cm） showed decreasing trend with the increase in size of girth class. Shannon index （H） for trees, shrubs and herbs was recorded as 1.82, 2.24 and 2.41 respectively. Simpsons index （Co） was recorded as 0.21, 0.12 and 0.12 for trees, shrubs and herbs respectively. The forest should be di- vided into compartments for better management purpose and each compartment should be closed for five years to assist regeneration and enrichment planting may also be carried out for sustainable management.

Over the past decade, parity-time(PT)-symmetric Hamiltonians have been experimentally realized in classical,optical settings with balanced gain and loss, or in quantum systems with localized loss. In both realizations, the PT-symmetry-breaking transition occurs at the exceptional point of the non-Hermitian Hamiltonian, where its eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenvectors both coincide. Here, we show that in lossy systems, the PT transition is a phenomenon that broadly occurs without an attendant exceptional point, and is driven by the potential asymmetry between the neutral and the lossy regions. With experimentally realizable quantum models in mind,we investigate dimer and trimer waveguide configurations with one lossy waveguide. We validate the tightbinding model results by using the beam-propagation-method analysis. Our results pave a robust way toward studying the interplay between passive PT transitions and quantum effects in dissipative photonic configurations.

Graphene has attracted the interest of chemists, physicists, and materials scientists due to its extraordinary structural, mechanical, and electronic properties. While pristine graphene is desirable for applications that require a high electrical conductivity, many other applications require modified or functionalized forms of graphene, such as graphene oxide, reduced graphene, or other functionalized forms. Structurally modifying graphene through chemical functionalization reveals the numerous possibilities for tuning its structure; several chemical and physical functionalization methods have been explored to improve the stabilization and modification of graphene. In this review, we report recent progress towards the chemical modification of graphene, including both covalent and noncovalent methods, for use in various applications.
