The most powerful Tohoku–Oki(TO) earthquake that occurred in Japan on 11 March 2011 affected Japan as well as South Korea. In the current study, we investigated contemporary geodetic deformation inside South Korea before and after the TO earthquake using Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) measurements from 01 January 2008 to 31 December 2017. Measured velocities of GNSS sites are modeled by Auto-regressive moving average(ARMA) method to analyze the long-term GNSS time-series variation and to investigate the secular tectonic crustal deformation. We found that the maximum co-seismic displacements during the TO earthquake reached up to 36.82 ± 0.21 mm in the east and 5.90 ± 0.08 mm in the north directions. The geometric model of the co-seismic thrust surface was characterized by a rectangular plane with a dip of 12.0° and strike 200°. The thrust is situated at 25 km hypocenter depth, with an area roughly ~470 km long and ~120 km wide. The seismicity pattern after the earthquake indicated that the compressional strain started to be replaced by the extensional strain during the post TO earthquake period from 2011 to 2014. Further, the strain became predominantly extensional during the period 2015 to 2017, revealing an effective rotational change that occurred inside the Korean Peninsula.

The additive Schwarz preconditioner with minimal overlap is extended to triangular spectral elements(TSEM).Themethod is a generalization of the corresponding method in tensorial quadrilateral spectral elements(QSEM).The proposed preconditioners are based on partitioning the domain into overlapping subdomains,solving local problems on these subdomains and solving an additional coarse problem associated with the subdomain *** results of numerical experiments show that the proposed preconditioner are robust with respect to the number of elements and are more efficient than the preconditioners with generous overlaps.

Low-Earth Orbit Satellite Constellations(LEO-SCs)provide global,high-speed,and low latency Internet access services,which bridges the digital divide in the remote *** inter-satellite links are not supported in initial deployment(*** Starlink),the communication between satellites is based on ground stations with radio frequency *** to the rapid movement of satellites,this hybrid topology of LEO-SCs and ground stations is time-varying,which imposes a major challenge to uninterrupted service provisioning and network *** this paper,we focus on solving two notable problems in such a ground station-assisted LEO-SC topology,i.e.,traffic engineering and fast reroute,to guarantee that the packets are forwarded in a balanced and uninterrupted ***,we employ segment routing to support the arbitrary path routing in *** solve the traffic engineering problem,we proposed two source routings with traffic splitting algorithms,Delay-Bounded Traffic Splitting(DBTS)and DBTS+,where DBTS equally splits a flow and DBTS+favors shorter ***-lation results show that DBTS+can achieve about 30%lower maximum satellite load at the cost of about 10%more *** guarantee the fast recovery of failures,two fast reroute mechanisms,Loop-Free Alternate(LFA)and LFA+,are studied,where LFA pre-computes an alternate next-hop as a backup while LFA+finds a 2-segment backup *** show that LFA+can increase the percentage of protection coverage by about 15%.

We investigated the association of time to prostate-specific antigen nadir （TTPN） and logarithm of prostate-specific antigen velocity after progression Log（PSAVAP） in metastatic prostate cancer with prior primary androgen deprivation therapy （ADT）. All metastatic prostate cancer patients treated with primary ADT from 2000 to 2009 were reviewed. Patients who developed disease progression were included in the subsequent analyses. Patients were categorized into three groups according to their TTPN： TTPN of 〈3 months, 3-17 months, and 〉17 months. We compared the Log（PSAVAP） between the different TTPN groups using Mann-Whitney U-test and Kruskal-wallis test. Further multiple linear regression analyses on Log（PSAVAP） were performed to adjust for other potential confounding factors. Among 419 patients who were treated with primary ADT, 306 patients developed disease progression with a median follow-up of 28 months, Longer TTPN was associated with lower Log（PSAVAP）（P = 0.008） within all subgroup analyses （TTPN of 〈3 vs 3-17 months, P = 0.020; TTPN of 3-17 vs 〉17 months, P = 0.009; and TTPN of 〈3 vs 〉17 months, P = 0.001）. Upon multiple linear regression analyses, baseline PSA （regression coefficient 0.001, P = 0.045）, PSA nadir （regression coefficient 0.002, P = 0.040）, and TTPN （regression coefficient -0.030, P = 0.001） were the three factors that were significantly associated with Log（PSAVAP）. In conclusion, a longer TTPN was associated with lower Log（PSAVAP） in metastatic prostate cancer patients following primary ADT. TTPN cut-offs at 3 months and 17 months appeared to have prognostic significance in predicting Log（PSAVAP）. TTPN may serve as a good prognostic indicator in deciding the treatment strategy in patients with disease progression.

The high performance of an electrode relies largely on a scrupulous design of nanoarchitectures and smart hybridization of electroactive materials.A porous core-shell architecture in which one-dimensional cobalt oxide(Co_3O_4)nanowire cores are grown on nickel foam prior to the growth of layered double hydroxide(LDH)shells is *** precipitation and thermal treatment result in homogeneous forests of 70-nm diameter Co_3O_4 nanowire,which are wrapped in LDH-nanosheet-built porous covers through a liquid phase deposition *** to the unique core-shell architecture and the synergetic effects of Co_3O_4and NiAl-LDH,the obtained Co_3O_4@LDH electrode exhibits a capacitance of 1 133.3F/g at a current density of 2A/g and 688.8F/g at 20A/g(5.3F/cm^(2 )at 9.4mA/cm^(2 )and 3.2F/cm^(2 )at 94mA/cm^2),which are better than those of the individual Co_3O_***,the electrode shows excellent cycling performance with a retention rate of 90.4%after 3 000cycles at a current density of 20A/g.

Effects of Curing Conditions on Strength Development of High Strength Concrete

This paper presents the results of a series of studies on the influence of curing conditions on the strength development of high strength concrete. The 1-, 3-, 7-, 14- and 28-day strengths of four different mixes of Grade 75 similar to 80 concrete, with or without pulverized fuel ash and/or condensed silica fume, under five different curing regimes were investigated. It is revealed that the curing conditions have significant influence on both the short term and long term strength development of the concrete and that concrete mixes of the same grade but containing different mineral admixtures show distinct favour for a curing regime. These results will be helpful for evaluating suitable curing methods for high strength concrete with different mix proportions.

This study extends the investigation of quantum dissipative effects of a cosmological scalar field by taking into account cosmic expansion and ***,Drewes,Kang,and Kim calculated the effective action and quantum dissipative effects of a cosmological scalar field in a recent work,where analytical expressions for the effective potential and damping coefficient were presented using a simple scalar model with quartic interactions,and the work was conducted using Minkowski-space propagators in loop *** this work,we incorporate the Hubble expansion and contraction of the cosmic background and focus on the thermal dynamics of a scalar field in a regime where the effective potential changes *** that the Hubble parameter,H,attains a small but non-zero value,we carry out calculations to the first order in *** we set H=0,all results match those in flat ***,we must integrate over the resonances,which in turn leads to an amplification of the effects of a non-zero *** is an intriguing phenomenon,which cannot be uncovered in flat *** implications on particle creations in the early universe will be studied in a forthcoming study.
