This article discusses the recent study written by Koizumi et ***-associated liver disease(ALD)is a major cause of liver-related morbidity and mortality,which is driven by complex mechanisms,including lipid accumulation,apoptosis,and inflammatory responses exacerbated by gut barrier *** study explored the therapeutic potential of elafibranor,a dual peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptor alpha/delta *** clinical trials,elafibranor has shown promise for the treatment of other liver conditions;however,its effects on ALD remain *** authors’findings indicate that elafibranor significantly reduced liver fibrosis and enhanced gut barrier integrity in patients with *** positive effects of elafibranor are mediated through multiple *** promotes lipid metabolism,reduces oxidative stress,and inhibits inflammatory responses by restoring gut barrier ***,it improves hepatocyte function by enhancing autophagic and antioxidant capacity,and it mitigates inflammation by suppressing the lipopolysaccharide/toll-like receptor 4/nuclear factor kappa B signaling *** findings indicate that elafibranor has promising clinical *** addition,the study highlights elafibranor’s potential as a therapeutic agent for liver diseases,particularly *** article underscores the importance of understanding the mechanistic pathways underlying ALD and suggests directions for future research aimed at elucidating the benefits and limitations of elafibranor.

Either potential flow or viscous flow based model may be flawed for numerical wave *** two-way coupling of potential and viscous flow models with the domain decomposition utilizing respective strengths has been a trending research *** contrast to existing literatures in which closed source potential models were used,the widely used open source OceanWave3D,OpenFOAM-v2012 are used in the present *** innovative overlapping two-way coupling strategy is developed utilizing the ghost points in *** guarantee computational stability,a relaxation zone used both for outlet damping and data transfer is built over the overlapping region in *** free surface elevation in the relaxation zone is directly probed in OpenFOAM while the velocity potential is indirectly built upon its temporal variation which is calculated by the free surface boundary condition using the probed *** coupling is achieved based on the fourth-order Runge-Kutta(RK)*** two-and three-dimensional tests including linear,nonlinear,irregular,and multi-directional irregular waves,are *** effectiveness of the coupling procedure in bidirectional data transfer is fully demonstrated,and the model is validated to be accurate and efficient,thus providing a competitive alternative for ocean wave simulations.

An NLO hyperbranched polymer （HP1） derived from both ＂H＂-type and star-type chromophores was synthesized successfully for the first time with high yield via one-pot ＂A2 ＋ B3＂ Suzuki polymerization reaction. Isolation chromophore was also introduced to further improve its performance. Although under the test conditions, the films of HP1 could not be poled completely, it still demonstrated satisfactory macroscopic NLO effect with the second harmonic generation （SHG） coefficient d33 value of 36 pm/V.

A photocatalytic process was developed for intermolecular reductive coupling of aliphatic ketones with alkynes/alkenes to furnish tertiary alcohols. Mechanistic studies support that boron carbonitrides(BCN) promote the single electron reduction of unactivated aliphatic ketones to generate ketyl radicals with visible light irradiation, which then react with alkynes and alkenes to afford the allylic and aliphatic alcohols, respectively. The heterogeneous photocatalytic system is compatible with diverse substrates including pharmaceutical-related molecules(43 examples) with reusability and scale-up experiments, verifying the complementary synthetic utility of this method to the homogeneous catalysts.

Recently Background Imaging of Cosmic Extragalactic Polarization （B2） discovered the relic gravitational waves at 7.00- confi- dence level. However, the other cosmic microwave background （CMB） data, for example Planck data released in 2013 （P13）, prefer a much smaller amplitude of the primordial gravitational waves spectrum if a power-law spectrum of adiabatic scalar perturbations is assumed in the six-parameter ACDM cosmology. In this paper, we explore whether the wCDM model and the running spectral index can relax the tension between B2 and other CMB data. Specifically we found that a positive running of running of spectral index is preferred at 1.70- level from the combination of B2, P 13 and WMAP Polarization data.

This paper put forward a new-type vortex generator enhancing heat exchange of solar air-drier and air-heater on the gas side,and investigated the mechanism of heat transfer enhancement and drag reduction by the influence of vortex generators on the coherent structure of turbulent boundary *** flow and heat transfer characteristics of rectangle channel with bevel-cut half-elliptical column vortex generators were obtained using large eddy simulation(LES)and the hydromechanics software *** instantaneous properties of velocity,temperature and pressure in channel were *** coherent structure of turbulent boundary layer flow was showed,and the characteristic of vortex induced by inclined-cut semi-ellipse vortex generator and its influence on turbulent coherent structure were *** the effect mechanism of turbulent coherent structure on flow field,pressure field and temperature field was *** on the results,the heat transfer coefficient and drag reduction of the new vortex generator with different pitch angles were ***,the coherent effects of the increased wall heat transfer and the decreased skin friction do not satisfy the Reynolds *** turbulent coherent structure can be controlled through the geometry of the vortex generator,so the heat transfer and drag reduction can also be *** we can seek suitable form of vortex generator and structure parameters,in order to achieve the enhanced heat transfer and flow of drag reduction in the solar air-heater and solar air-drier.

In response to the goal of net-zero emissions proposed by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Chinese government has pledged that carbon emissions will peak by 2030, and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. However, the high carbon energy structure of traditional industries has aggravated environmental problems, such as greenhouse effect and air pollution. The goal of carbon neutrality will be difficult to achieve without the development of disruptive theories and technologies. The electrolytic zinc industry requires high-temperature roasting at ~1000 ℃, generating large amounts of greenhouse gases and SO_(2). High concentrations of sulfuric acid (200 g/L) are subsequently used for electrolysis, and each ton of zinc produced generates 50 kg of anode slime with lead content of up to 16%, as well as 0.35 m3 of wastewater containing zinc and lead. To solve these problems, an optical metallurgy method is proposed in this study. The proposed method uses laser-induced photoreduction to decompose ZnS and reduce metal ions to metal. Results indicate that Zn0 and S8 can be detected on the surface of ZnS at a specific wavelength and laser fluence. The generation mechanism of Zn0 is such that laser induces an electronic transition that breaks ionic bond in ZnS, resulting in its decomposition and photoreduction to Zn0 under an inert argon gas atmosphere. This method does not reduce other metals in the mineral since it does not use high-temperature roasting, providing a new way of producing high-purity metal without greenhouse gas emissions and heavy metal pollution caused by traditional zinc electrolysis.
