Fabrication of Molecularly Imprinted Electrospun Nanofibers with Mono-amidoxime Functional Ligand for Efficient Decontamination of Toxic Organophosphates

There is an urgent imperative to discover practical and efficacious artificial catalysts for the expeditious decontamination of toxic organophosphates. Herein, we propose a novel molecularly imprinted approach utilizing electrospun fiber scaffolds. Specifically, an amidoxime-based functional polymer (PMAOX) has been synthesized, which contains amidoxime groups that can act as nucleophiles and ligands for the formation of catalytic active sites. This polymer was blended with polyacrylonitrile (PAN), a well-processable material, to prepare a nanofiber mat using electrospinning techniques. Then, the amidoxime side groups on fiber surface were further cross-linked after the molecular coordination of templates to complete the molecularly imprinting process. This approach can not only enhance the content of functional molecularly imprinted polymers without affecting structural stability, but also combines surface MI technology to fully expose and leverage the advantages of active sites. The as prepared molecularly imprinted electrospun nanofibers MIF-Zn-PMAOX/PAN-6/4 catalyzes the degradation of paraoxon with a half-life of 32 min, and MIF-Ag-PMAOX/PAN catalyzes the degradation of parathion with a half-life of 18 min. The maximum catalytic rate evidence rate enhancements nearly 3700-fold of the self-hydrolysis. Thus, the mono-amidoxime based molecularly imprinted fibers demonstrate the versatility and superiority as self-detoxifying for organophosphates.

The property theory of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has been practiced for thousands of years,playing a pivotal role in the clinical application of TCM. While advancements in energy metabolism,chemical composition analysis, machine learning, ion current modeling, and supercritical fluid technology have provided valuable insight into how aspects of TCM property theory may be measured, these studies only capture specific aspects of TCM property theory in isolation, overlooking the holistic perspective inherent in TCM. To systematically investigate the modern interpretation of the TCM property theory from multidimensional perspectives, we consulted the Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2020 edition) to compile a list of Chinese materia medica(CMM). Then, using the Latin names of each CMM and gut microbiota as keywords, we searched the PubMed database for relevant research on gut microbiota and CMM. The regulatory patterns of different herbs on gut microbiota were then summarized from the perspectives of the four natures, the five flavors and the meridian tropism. In terms of the four natures, we found that warm-natured medicines promoted the colonization of specific beneficial bacteria,while cold-natured medicines boosted populations of some beneficial bacteria while suppressing pathogenic bacteria. Analysis of the five flavors revealed that sweet-flavored and bitter-flavored CMMs positively influenced beneficial bacteria while inhibiting harmful bacteria. CMMs with different meridian tropism exhibited complex modulative patterns on gut microbiota, with Jueyin(Liver) and Taiyin(Lung) meridian CMMs generally exerting a stronger effect. The gut microbiota may be a biological indicator for characterizing the TCM property theory, which not only enhances our understanding of classic TCM theory but also contributes to its scientific advancement and application in healthcare.

With continuous hydrocarbon exploration extending to deeper basins,the deepest industrial oil accumulation was discovered below 8,200 m,revealing a new exploration ***,the extent to which oil exploration can be extended,and the prediction of the depth limit of oil accumulation(DLOA),are issues that have attracted significant attention in petroleum *** it is difficult to characterize the evolution of the physical properties of the marine carbonate reservoir with burial depth,and the deepest drilling still cannot reach the ***,the DLOA cannot be predicted by directly establishing the relationship between the ratio of drilling to the dry layer and the *** this study,by establishing the relationships between the porosity and the depth and dry layer ratio of the carbonate reservoir,the relationships between the depth and dry layer ratio were obtained *** depth corresponding to a dry layer ratio of 100%is the *** on this,a quantitative prediction model for the DLOA was finally *** results indicate that the porosity of the carbonate reservoir,Lower Ordovician in Tazhong area of Tarim Basin,tends to decrease with burial depth,and manifests as an overall low porosity reservoir in deep *** critical porosity of the DLOA was 1.8%,which is the critical geological condition corresponding to a 100%dry layer ratio encountered in the *** depth of the DLOA was 9,000 *** study provides a new method for DLOA prediction that is beneficial for a deeper understanding of oil accumulation,and is of great importance for scientific guidance on deep oil drilling.

The authors consider a robust optimal reinsurance and investment problem in a risk model with two dependent classes of insurance business for an Ambiguity-Averse insurer(AAI). The insurer aims to minimize the goal-reaching probability that the value of the wealth process reaches a low barrier before a high goal. Using the stochastic control approach based on the Hamilton-JacobiBellman(HJB) equation, the authors derive the robust optimal reinsurance and investment strategies,as well as the corresponding value function. The authors conclude that the robust optimal investmentreinsurance strategy coincides with the one without model ambiguity, but the value function differs. As a consequence, ignoring model uncertainty leads to significant value function loss for the AAI. Besides,it is worth noting that if the insurer has only one business, the sum of the degenerated value function and the one of(Luo, et al., 2019) is equal to 1 both for ambiguity and ambiguity-neutral. Finally,numerical examples are given to illustrate our results.

High fish predation pressure can trigger"induced defense"in Daphnia species,resulting in phenotypic plasticity in morphology,behavior,or life-history *** molecular mechanisms of defense morphogenesis(e.g.,the tail spine and helmet)in Daphnia remain *** the pres-ent study,the tail spine,helmet,and body of Daphnia galeata under fish and non-fish kairomones conditions were collected for transcriptome analysis.A total of 24 candidate genes related to the morphological defense of *** were identified,including 2 trypsin,one cuticle protein,1 C1qDC protein,and 2 ferritin *** function of the Dagcut gene(*** cuticle protein gene)in relation to tail spine morphology was assessed using RNA interference(RNAi).Compared with the EgFP(Enhanced green fluorescent protein)treatment,after RNAi,the expression levels of the Dagcut gene(*** cuticle protein gene)showed a significant ***,the tail spines of the offspring pro-duced by *** after RNAi of the Dagcut gene appeared curved during the *** whole-mount in situ hybridization,a clear signal site was detected on the tail spine of *** before RNAi which disappeared after *** results suggest that the Dagcut gene may play an important role in tail spine formation of ***,and will provide a theoretical basis for studying the molecular mechanisms of the morpho-logical plasticityin cladocera inthefuture.

While the interaction between information and disease in static networks has been extensively investigated,many studies have ignored the characteristics of network *** this study,we construct a new two-layer coupling model to explore the interactions between information and *** upper layer describes the diffusion of disease-related information,and the lower layer represents the disease *** then use power-law distributions to examine the influence of asymmetric activity levels on dynamic propagation,revealing a mapping relationship characterizing the interconnected propagation of information and diseases among partial nodes within the ***,we derive the disease outbreak threshold by using the microscopic Markov-chain approach(MMCA).Finally,we perform extensive Monte Carlo(MC)numerical simulations to verify the accuracy of our theoretical *** findings indicate that the activity levels of individuals in the disease transmission layer have a more significant influence on disease transmission compared with the individual activity levels in the information diffusion ***,reducing the damping factor can delay disease outbreaks and suppress disease transmission,while improving individual quarantine measures can contribute positively to disease *** study provides valuable insights into policymakers for developing outbreak prevention and control strategies.

Entanglement in macroscopic systems, as a fundamental quantum resource, has been utilized to propel the advancement of quantum technology and probe the boundary between the quantum and classical realms. This study focuses on a unique hybrid quantum system comprising of an ensemble of silicon vacancy (SiV) centers coupled to phononic waveguides in diamond via strain interactions. By employing two sets of time-dependent, non-overlapping driving fields, we investigate the generation process and dynamic properties of macroscopic quantum entanglement, providing fresh insights into the behavior of such hybrid quantum systems. Furthermore, it paves the way for new possibilities in utilizing quantum entanglement as an information carrier in quantum information processing and quantum communication.
