Field cultivation experiments on white sesame(Sesamum indicum L.)seeds implanted with low-energy C ion showed that different dosages of C ion implantation pro-duce different biological *** plants in 6 different dosage groups with C ion density respectively at 1×10^(11),1×10^(12),1×10^(15),5×10^(15),1×10^(16),5×10^(16)ion/cm2 were superior to the control group in plant height,leaf number,stalk diameter and leaf ***,sesame plants in these groups flower and seed earlier than those in the control group,and single plant yield also *** all the groups,the 5×10^(15)ion/cm2 dosage group yielded the best effect,whereas the 1×10^(17)/cm^(2)dosage group showed an evident inhibitory effect of ion implantation on the germination and growth of the sesame seeds.

In this work,we explore the mappings from solar images taken in Hα(6563 A)by the Global Oscillation Network Group(GONG)on the ground to those observed in eight different wavelengths(94,131,171,193,211,304,335 and 1600 A)by SDO/AIA in *** mappings are built by training the conditional Generative Adversarial Networks(cGANs)on datasets with 500 paired images,which are[Hα,AIA94],[Hα,AIA131],[Hα,AIA171],[Hα,AIA193],[Hα,AIA211],[Hα,AIA304],[Hα,AIA335]and[Hα,AIA1600].We evaluate the eight trained cGANs models on validation and test datasets with 154-pair images and 327-pair images,*** model generated fake AIA images match the corresponding observed AIA images well on large-scale structures such as large active regions and *** the small-scale flare loops and filament threads are difficult to *** quantitative comparisons are carried out on the validation and test datasets to score the *** find that the model-generated images in 304 and 1600 A match the corresponding observed images *** exploration suggests that the cGANs are promising methods for mappings between ground-based Ha and space-based EUV/UV images,while some improvements are necessary.

The phosphorus slag（PS） can be used as a supplementary cementitious material due to its potential hydrating activity. However, its usage has been limited by its adverse effects, including prolonged setting and lowered early-stage strength. In this study, we achieved ultrafine granulation of PS using wetmilling（reducing d50 to as low as 2.02 μm） in order to increase its activity, and examined the physico-chemical properties of the resulting materials, including particle-size distribution, slurry pH, zeta potential, and activity index, as well as how their replacement level and granularity affect the setting time and mechanical performance of PS-cement mixture systems. The results suggested that as the granularity increases, there are significant boosts in the uniformity of particle sizes, slurry pH, and activity index, and the effects on cement paste, including setting times, and early-and late-stage strengths, are significantly mitigated. When d（50）=2.02 μm, the slurry becomes strongly alkaline（pH=12.16） compared to the initial d（50）=20.75 μm（pH=9.49）, and the activity is increased by 73%; when used at 40% replacement, the PS-cement mixture system can reach a 28 d compressive strength of 93.2 MPa, 36% higher than that of the pure cement control group.

Heavy metals are widely distributed contaminants in natural environments and their potential threats to human health have attracted worldwide concerns due to the food chain. Therefore, great efforts have been made to reduce them to a safe level in soil. Compared with the traditional methods, the method using plants to remove them has been accepted as a feasible and efficient way. Herein, the geochemical behavior of heavy metals and the restoration methods with phytoremediation were reviewed. In addition, issues on heavy metal speciation as well as its influencing factors, phytoremediation mechanism, phytoremediation effect and vegetation selection principle used for phytoremediation were discussed.

Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)has been a prevalence technique for breast cancer ***-aided detection and segmentation of lesions from MRIs plays a vital role for the MRI-based disease *** are two main issues of the existing breast lesion segmentation techniques:requir ing manual delineation of Regions of Interests(ROIs)as a step of initialization;and requiring a large amount of labeled images for model construction or parameter lear ning,while in real clinical or experimental settings,it is highly challenging to get suficient labeled *** resolve these issues,this work proposes a semi-supervised method for breast tumor segmentation based on super voxel *** image segmentation with advanced cluster techniques,we take a supervised learning step to classify the tumor and nontumor patches in order to automatically locate the tumor regions in an MRI To obtain the opt imal performance of tumor extraction,we take extensive experiments to learn par ameters for tumor segmentation and dassification,and design 225 classifiers corresponding to diferent parameter *** call the proposed method as Semi supervised Tumor Segmentation(SSTS),and apply it to both mass and nonmass *** results show better performance of SsTS compared with five state of-the art methods.

A solution polymerization method has been used to synthesize a polyacrylic-type superabsorbent polymer(SAP).The influence of various influential factors,such as the temperature,neutralization degree,cross-linking agent,and initiator,on the water absorption capacity of SAP has been *** results show that the absorption can display a non-monotonic behavior depending on the synthesis *** absorption can also change according to the pH,ion types and ion *** the pH value increases,the water absorption capacity decreases *** also decreases if the N^(a+)concentration becomes higher and becomes particularly low in solutions containing Mg^(2+).With the addition of SAP,the compressive strength of cement mortar decreases;the internal relative humidity can be maintained at 96%within 200 hours;and autogenous shrinkage can be reduced by nearly 69%.

Due to the low water-cement ratio of ultra-high-performance concrete(UHPC),fluidity and shrinkage cracking are key aspects determining the performance and durability of this type of *** this study,the effects of different types of cementitious materials,chemical shrinkage-reducing agents(SRA)and steel fiber(SF)were *** with M2-UHPC and M3-UHPC,M1-UHPC was found to have better fluidity and shrinkage cracking ***,different SRA incorporation methods,dosage and different SF types and aspect ratios were *** incorporation of SRA and SF led to a decrease in the fluidity of *** internal content of 1%(NSRA-1%),SRA external content of 1%(WSRA-1%),STS-0.22 and STE-0.7 decreased the fluidity of UHPC by 3.3%,8.3%,9.2%and 25%,***,SRA and SF improved the UHPC shrinkage cracking ***-1%and STE-0.7 reduced the shrinkage value of UHPC by 40%and 60%,respectively,and increased the crack resistance by 338%and 175%,*** addition,the addition of SF was observed to make the microstructure of UHPC more compact,and the compressive strength and flexural strength of 28 d were increased by 26.9%and 19.9%,respectively.

BACKGROUND Diverse presentations of dens invaginatus (DI) and root canal treatment with an immature open apex often pose challenges to dentists. Adequate treatment planning for DI is the main reason for successful approach, i.e., we should consider the shape and depth of the concave folding, the condition of the original pulp, and the growth stage of the root formation. CASE suMMARY A 9-year-old girl complained of severe pain of the right maxillary incisor (tooth 12) when chewing for two weeks. Following clinical and radiographic examinations, Oehlers type III DI of tooth 12, with an immature open apical foramen and a symptomatic periapical pathosis, was diagnosed. Cone-beam computed tomography verified the specific spatial and stereoscopic data regarding the communication between the main root canal and pseudo root canal of the involved tooth. After removing the source of infection, a mineral trioxide aggregate was selected to fill and seal the pseudo root canal;additionally, pulp capping of the main canal was performed through the interconnections between the root canals in the middle segment to preserve pulp vitality and enable continual root formation and eventual root apex closure. CONCLUSION We propose to conduct main root canal pulp capping for DI with communication between the main and pseudo root canals.
