The Moon provides a unique environment for investigating nearby astrophysical events such as *** samples retain valuable information from these events,via detectable long-lived“fingerprint”radionuclides such as^(60)*** this work,we stepped up the development of an accelerator mass spectrometry(AMS)method for detecting^(60)Fe using the HI-13tandem accelerator at the China Institute of Atomic Energy(CIAE).Since interferences could not be sufficiently removed solely with the existing magnetic systems of the tandem accelerator and the following Q3D magnetic spectrograph,a Wien filter with a maximum voltage of±60 kV and a maximum magnetic field of 0.3 T was installed after the accelerator magnetic systems to lower the detection background for the low abundance nuclide^(60)Fe.A 1μm thick Si_(3)N_(4) foil was installed in front of the Q3D as an energy *** particle detection,a multi-anode gas ionization chamber was mounted at the center of the focal plane of the ***,an^(60)Fe sample with an abundance of 1.125×10^(-10)was used to test the new AMS *** results indicate that^(60)Fe can be clearly distinguished from the isobar^(60)*** sensitivity was assessed to be better than 4.3×10^(-14)based on blank sample measurements lasting 5.8 h,and the sensitivity could,in principle,be expected to be approximately 2.5×10^(-15)when the data were accumulated for 100 h,which is feasible for future lunar sample measurements because the main contaminants were sufficiently separated.

BACKGROUND Acute-on-chronic liver disease(AoCLD)accounts for the majority of patients hospitalized in the Department of hepatology or Infectious *** To explore the characterization of AoCLD to provide theoretical guidance for the accurate diagnosis and prognosis of *** Patients with AoCLD from the Chinese Acute-on-Chronic liver Failure(ACLF)study cohort were included in this *** clinical characteristics and outcomes,and the 90-d survival rate associated with each clinical type of AoCLD were analyzed,using the Kaplan-meier method and the log-rank *** A total of 3375 patients with AoCLD were enrolled,including 1679(49.7%)patients with liver cirrhosis acute decompensation(LC-AD),850(25.2%)patients with ACLF,577(17.1%)patients with chronic hepatitis acute exacer-bation(CHAE),and 269(8.0%)patients with liver cirrhosis active phase(LC-A).The most common cause of chronic liver disease(CLD)was HBV infection(71.4%).The most common precipitants of AoCLD was bacterial infection(22.8%).The 90-d mortality rates of each clinical subtype of AoCLD were 43.4%(232/535)for type-C ACLF,36.0%(36/100)for type-B ACLF,27.0%(58/215)for type-A ACLF,9.0%(151/1679)for LC-AD,3.0%(8/269)for LC-A,and 1.2%(7/577)for *** HBV infection is the main cause of CLD,and bacterial infection is the main precipitant of *** most common clinical type of AoCLD is *** diagnosis and timely intervention are needed to reduce the mortality of patients with LC-AD or ACLF.

There are billions of tiny scales on the butterfly wings, which array regularly as the tiles on the roof. Such tilts can form various colors of the wing and afford the species many abilities to survive and propagate. Morphological experiments on the wing scales of six butterfly species living in northeast of China were conducted. By the optics microscope; the form, geometry dimension and array of the scales were observed generally. By using scanning electron microscope （SEM）, the 2D scanning and measurement were carried out and the surface micro configurations of scales were observed. The dimension and microstructure characteristics of the cross section of single scale were achieved through transmission electron microscope （TEM）. Finally, by using 3D software, three 3D models were described and the 3D visual effect was achieved. This work can put forward a basic method for the future study on the morphology of biological microstructure.

Despite the fact that numerous infection-resistant surfaces have been developed to prevent bacterial colonization and biofilm formation, developing a stable, highly antibacterial and easily produced surface remains a technical challenge. As a crucial structural component of biofilm, extracellular DNA（eDNA） can facilitate initial bacterial adhesion, subsequent development, and final maturation. Inspired by the mechanistic pathways of natural enzymes（deoxyribonuclease）, here we report a novel antibacterial surface by employing cerium（Ce（Ⅳ）） ion to mimic theDNA-cleavage ability of natural enzymes. In this process, the coordination chemistry of plant polyphenols and metal ions was exploited to create an in situ metal-phenolic film on substrate surfaces. Tannic acid（TA） works as an essential scaffold and Ce（Ⅳ） ion acts as both a cross-linker and a destructor of eDNA. The Ce（Ⅳ）-TA modified surface exhibited highly enhanced bacteria repellency and biofilm inhibition when compared with those of pristine or Fe（Ⅲ）-TA modified samples. Moreover, the easily produced coatings showed high stability under physiological conditions and had nontoxicity to cells for prolonged periods of time. This as-prepared DNA-cleavage surface presents versatile and promising performances to combat biomaterial-associated infections.

Objective In previous studies, we immunized mice with Ebola recombinant protein vaccine and gene vector vaccine. Both stimulated high levels of humoral immunity. In this work, we constructed a pseudovirus containing Ebola membrane proteins to verify whether the two immunization strategies can induce neutralizing antibodies in mice. Methods A pseudovirus containing an Ebola virus membrane protein based on the HIV-1 viral gene sequence was constructed and evaluated using a known neutralizing antibody. The titer of the neutralizing antibody in the sera of mice immunized with the recombinant protein and the gene vector vaccine was examined using a neutralization test. Results Ebola pseudovirus was successfully prepared and applied for neutralizing antibody detection. Immunological experiments showed that recombinant protein GP-Fc and gene vaccine pVR-modGP-Fc had good immunogenicity. The titer of the bound antibody in the serum after 8 weeks of immunization in mice was more than 1：105, and the recombinant protein induced greater humoral immunity. The results of the neutralization test based on the Ebola pseudovirus system demonstrated that both vaccines induced production of protective antibodies, while the gene vaccine induced a higher titer of neutralizing antibodies. Conclusion An Ebola pseudovirus detection system was successfully established and used to evaluate two Ebola vaccines. Both produced good immunogenicity. The findings lay the foundation for the development of new Ebola vaccines and screening for neutralizing monoclonal antibodies.

Yu Gan Long(YGL)is a Chinese traditional herbal formula which has been reported to attenuate liver fibrosis for many years and we have explored its anti-fibrotic mechanism through blocking transforming growth factor(TGF-β)in the previous *** the mechanisms associated with platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF)-BB remain *** this study,we further investigated the mechanism of YGL reducing carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-induced liver fibrosis in *** results showed that YGL suppressed CCl4-induced upregulation of collagen IV(Col IV),type HI precollagen(PCHI),hyaluronuc acid(HA)and laminin(LN),which are implicated in liver ***,YGL reduced theα-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)expression,which acts as the indicator of liver ***,YGL decreased the serum levels of hepatic stellate cell(HSC)mitogen PDGF-BB and inflammation cytokines,including TNF-α,IL-1β,*** involved in liver fibrosis,such as Ras,p-Raf-1,p-ERK1/2,p-JNK,p-P38,p-PI3K,p-AKT,p-JAKl,p-STAT3 were downregulated significantly after treatment with *** results indicated that YGL ameliorated CCl4-induced liver fibrosis by reducing inflammation cytokines production,and suppressing Ras/ERK,PI3K/AKT,and JAK1/STAT3 signaling pathways,which provided further evidence towards elucidation of the anti-fibrotic mechanism of YGL.

Background： helicohacterpylori （H. pylori） frequently colonizes the stomach. Gastroesophageal reflux disease （GERD） is a common and costly disease. But the relationship ofH. pylori and GERD is still unclear. This study aimed to explore the effect ofH. *** and its eradication on reflux esophagitis therapy. Methods： Patients diagnosed with reflux esophagitis by endoscopy were enrolled; based on rapid urease test and Warth-Starry stain, they were divided into H. pylori positive and negative groups. H. pylori positive patients were randomly given H. pylori eradication treatment for 10 days, then esomeprazole 20 mg bid for 46 days. The other patients received esomeprazole 20 mg bid therapy for 8 weeks. After treatment, three patient groups were obtained： H. pylori positive eradicated, H. pylori positive uneradicated, and H. pylori negative. Before and after therapy, reflux symptoms were scored and compared. healing rates were compared among groups. The x2 test and t-test were used, respectively, for enumeration and measurement data. Results： There were 176 H. pylori positive （with 92 eradication cases） and 180 negative cases. healing rates in the H. pylori positive eradicated and H. pylori positive uneradicated groups reached 80.4% and 79.8% （P = 0.911）, with reflux symptom scores of 0.22 and 0.14 （P = 0.588）. healing rates of esophagitis in the 14. pylori positive uneradicated and H. pylori negative groups were, respectively, 79.8% and 82.2% （P = 0.848）; reflux symptom scores were 0.14 and 0.21 （P = 0.546）. Conclusions： Based on esomeprazole therapy, H. pylori infection and eradication have no significant effect on reflux esophagitis therapy.
