Projected changes in Köppen-Trewartha climate zones under 1.5-4℃global warming targets over mid-high latitudes of Northern Asia using an ensemble of RegCM4 simulations

Mid-high latitude Northern Asia is one of the most vulnerable and sensitive areas to global warming,but relatively less studied *** used an ensemble of a regional climate model(RegCM4)projections to assess future changes in surface air temperature,precipitation and Köppen-Trewartha(K-T)climate types in Northern Asia under the 1.5-4℃global warming ***4 is driven by five CMIP5 global models over an East Asia domain at a grid spacing of 25 *** of the present day(1986-2005)simulations shows that the ensembles of RegCM4(ensR)and driving GCMs(ensG)reproduce the major characters of the observed temperature,precipitation and K-T climate zones reasonably *** and more realistic spatial detail is found in RegCM4 compared to the driving GCMs.A general warming and overall increases in precipitation are projected over the region,with these changes being more pronounced at higher warming *** projected warming by ensR shows different spatial patterns,and is in general lower,compared to ensG in most months of the year,while the percentage increases of precipitation are maximum during the cold *** future changes in K-T climate zones are characterized by a substantial expansion of Dc(temperature oceanic)and retreat of Ec(sub-arctic continental)over the region,reaching∼20%under the 4℃warming *** most notable change in climate types in ensR is found over Japan(∼60%),followed by Southern Siberia,Mongolia,and the Korean Peninsula(∼40%).The largest change in the K-T climate types is found when increasing from 2 to 3℃.The results will help to better assess the impacts of climate change and in implementation of appropriate adaptation measures over the region.

The first experimental investigation of the tungsten behavior in ELMy H-mode plasmas with co-/counter neutral beam injection(NBI)and unfavor-able/favorable B t was performed on *** was found to accumulate easily in ELMy H-mode plasma with co-NBI heating and unfavorable B ***,in this case the tungsten concentration can exceed 10^(-4),resulting in degradation of the plasma confinement and periodic H–L *** reduce the tungsten concentration in steady-state type-I ELMy H-mode operation,counter-NBI is applied to modify the density and temperature and brake the plasma toroidal *** applied counter-NBI decreases the PHZ+E_(r) inward pinch velocity and rever-ses the direction of neoclassical inward convection,thus decreasing the tungsten concentration from-7×10^(-5) to-2×10^(-5) in type-I ELMy H-mode plasma with favorable B_(t).A comparison of the effects of different B_(t) directions on the tungsten behavior also shows that favor-able B_(t) is beneficial for reducing the tungsten concentration in the core *** results imply that counter-NBI with favorable B_(t) can effectively prevent tungsten accu-mulation and expand the operating window for exploring steady-state type-I ELMy H-mode operation of EAST.

The core impurity confinement properties are experimentally investigated in the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak(EAST)plasma heated by lower hybrid wave(LHW)and electron cyclotron resonance heating(ECRH)(LHW+ECRH).It is shown that the impurity confinement time(τ_(imp))in the L-mode plasma jointly heated by LHW and ECRH is weakly dependent on electron density but strongly dependent on the heating power,thus it is shorter than that in LHW-only heated L-mode plasma with the similar plasma *** combined heating of LHW and ECRH can reduce the collisionality and indicates a more effective heating method for coreτimp reduction and normalized poloidal beta(βP)^(im)*** should be emphasized that in this highβ_P operation window the small ELM regime can be accessed,and an L-mode levelτ_(imp)(40 ms-80 ms)and highβ_N(~1.7)can be obtained *** means that this typical small ELMy H-mode regime has an advantage in avoiding the serious tungsten accumulation,and will be competitive in future long-pulse steady-state and high-performance operation with high-Z material plasma-facing components.

Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)function as key modulators in mammalian immunity,particularly due to their involvement in lncRNA-mediated competitive endogenous RNA(ceRNA)*** their recognized significance in mammals,research on lncRNAs in lower vertebrates remains *** the present study,we characterized the first immune-related lncRNA(pol-lnc78)in the teleost Japanese flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus).Results indicated that pol-lnc78 acted as a ceRNA for pol-miR-n199-3p to target the sterile alpha and armadillo motif-containing protein(SARM),the fifth discovered member of the Toll/interleukin 1(IL-1)receptor(TIR)adaptor *** ceRNA network regulated the antibacterial responses of flounder via the Toll-like receptor(TLR)signaling ***,SARM acted as a negative regulator and exacerbated bacterial infection by inhibiting the expression of inflammatory cytokines IL-1βand tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α).Pol-miR-n199-3p reduced SARM expression by specifically interacting with the 3’untranslated region(UTR),thereby promoting SARM-dependent inflammatory cytokine expression and protecting the host against bacterial ***,pol-lnc78 sponged pol-miR-n199-3p to ameliorate the inhibition of SARM *** infection,the negative regulators pol-lnc78 and SARM were significantly down-regulated,while pol-miR-n199-3p was significantly up-regulated,thus favoring host antibacterial *** findings provide novel insights into the mechanisms underlying fish immunity and open new horizons to better understand ceRNA crosstalk in lower vertebrates.

To generate dance that temporally and aesthetically matches the music is a challenging problem in three ***,the generated motion should be beats-aligned to the local musical ***,the global aesthetic style should be matched between motion and *** third,the generated motion should be diverse and *** address these challenges,we propose ReChoreoNet,which re-choreographs high-quality dance motion for a given piece of music.A data-driven learning strategy is proposed to efficiently correlate the temporal connections between music and motion in a progressively learned cross-modality embedding *** beats-aligned content motion will be subsequently used as autoregressive context and control signal to control a normalizing-flow model,which transfers the style of a prototype motion to the final generated *** addition,we present an aesthetically labelled music-dance repertoire(MDR)for both efficient learning of the cross-modality embedding,and understanding of the aesthetic connections between music and *** demonstrate that our repertoire-based framework is robustly extensible in both content and *** quantitative and qualitative experiments have been carried out to validate the efficiency of our proposed model.

Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF) is considered to be one of the most promising additive manufacturing technologies for producing components with geometries and high geometrical precision that are unattainable by traditional technologies. The superalloy exhibits exceptional mechanical and high-temperature performances,rendering it a prime candidate for advanced aero-engine applications. Despite the high demand for LPBF-manufactured superalloys, the superalloy is one of the materials manufactured difficultly by LPBF due to their large laser absorptivity fluctuation, poor molten pool stability and sharp temperature gradient. Hence, superalloys are characterized by severe pores, undesirable coarse columnar grains and poor mechanical properties. In this work, the effect of nano-Ti N particles on defects, molten pool characteristics and microstructure and performance of the composites were investigated. The 4.5 wt% Ti N/Haynes230 samples exhibited exceptional nanohardness and elastic modulus with maximum values reaching 5.53 GPa and 240.03 GPa, respectively. These superior mechanical properties were attributed to the combined effects of spatter and gas pore inhibition, grain refinement and duplex nanophases strengthening. Moreover, the stability of molten pool was enhanced, and spatter was effectively suppressed by adding nano-Ti N particles, while grain refinement and columnar to equiaxed transitions were promoted. Furthermore, the matrix exhibited a high dislocation density due to a significant hindrance of dislocation movement caused by massive nano-phases(e.g., Ti N and M23C6), resulting in the formation of extensive dislocation tangles and *** work offers novel insights into the role of nanoparticles reinforced superalloy composites by LPBF.

Introducing and stabilizing oxygen vacancies in oxide catalysts is considered to be a promising strategy for improving catalytic activity and ***,we quantitatively create oxygen vacancies in the lattice of porous single-crystallineβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)monoliths by reduction treatments and stabilize them through the long-range ordering of crystal lattice to enhance catalytic activity and *** combination analysis of time-of-flight neutron powder diffraction and extended x-ray absorption fine structure discloses that the preferential generation of oxygen vacancy tends to occur at the site of tetrahedral coordination oxygen ions(O_(Ⅲ)sites),which contributes to the formation of unsaturated Ga-O coordination in the monoclinic *** oxygen vacancies are randomly distributed in lattice even though some of them are present in the form of domain defect in the PSC Ga_(2)O_(3)monoliths after the reduction *** number of oxygen vacancies in the reduced monoliths gives 2.32×10^(13),2.87×10^(13),and 3.45×10^(13)mg^(-1)for the Ga_(2)O_(2.952),Ga_(2)O_(2.895),and Ga_(2)O_(2.880),*** therefore demonstrate the exceptionally high C_(2)H_(4)selectivity of~100%at the C_(2)H_(6)conversion of~37%for nonoxidative dehydrogenation of C_(2)H_(6)to C_(2)H_(4).We further demonstrate the excellent durability even at 620℃for 240 h of continuous operation.
