Clinical significance of multislice spiral CT scans in hepatic veins occlusion in Budd-Chiari syndrome

Background Budd-Chiari syndrome with hepatic vein occlusion （HVBCS） can induce severe portal hypertension and liver damage. We retrospectively analyzed hepatic CT features of HVBCS and evaluated the usefulness of triphasic enhancement of CT examinations and CT angiography （CTA） in its diagnosis. Methods Twenty-five cases with HVBCS, confirmed by digital subtraction angiography （DSA）, received a triphasic enhancement CT scan within one week before DSA. The CTA images of the relevant blood vessels were reconstructed with maximum intensity projection, volume rendering and oblique reformat techniques. Results Compared with DSA, the detection rate of transverse CT and CTA images for abnormal hepatic vein were 81.7% （58/71） and 95.8% （68/71）（X^2=7.044, P=-0.008）, for membranous obstruction were 47.4% （9/19） and 84.2% （16/19） respectively （X^2 =5.729, P=-0.017 ）, for segmental obstruction were 88.0% （22/25） and 100% （25/25） respectively （X^2=1.418, P=-0.234）. The detection rates for hepatic vein stenosis were 100% with each method. Diffuse hepatomegaly was found in all 6 cases in acute phase and 3 of 19 cases in chronic phase who had severe obstruction of three hepatic veins without patent intrahepatic collaterals. The other 16 cases in chronic phase had hepatatrophia to different extents related to the obstructed hepatic vein. All in acute phase and 15 in chronic phase presented typical patchy enhancement initially in caudate lobe and perihilar areas and enlarged with time delay. In all cases, parenchyma areas with atrophy, necrosis and congestion demonstrated lower and later enhancement. In all the parts, which had normal enhancement at least one patent outflow hepatic vein, accessory hepatic vein or collateral vessel was detected.Conclusion Dynamic enhancement CT examination by multislice spiral CT not only could improve the diagnosis of HVBCS by CTA technique, but also could noninvasively provide anatomical information and reveal damage to the hepatic parenchyma

城镇污水治理是打好打赢污染防治攻坚战的关键环节,目前我国污水收集问题仍然较为突出,“十四五”期间污水管网的建设、改造、修复仍需重点关注。文章纵观城镇污水处理的发展历程,指出了污水处理存在的主要问题。为跟上我国城市化进程及工业的发展,城镇污水处理厂提标改造提上日程。面对这样一个综合性极强的系统工程,建设、修复、优化污水污水收集管网成为了这项工作的重要基础。为进一步提升城镇污水收集处理效能,深入打好污染防治攻坚战,文章分析了提标改造工作中存在的问题,并提出了相应建议。

Aging is accompanied by the decline of organismal functions and a series of prominent hallmarks,including genetic and epigenetic *** aging-associated epigenetic changes include DNA methylation,histone modification,chromatin remodeling,non-coding RNA(ncRNA)regulation,and RNA modification,all of which participate in the regulation of the aging process,and hence contribute to aging-related ***,understanding the epigenetic mechanisms in aging will provide new avenues to develop strategies to delay ***,aging interventions based on manipulating epigenetic mechanisms have led to the alleviation of aging or the extension of the lifespan in animal *** molecule-based therapies and reprogramming strategies that enable epigenetic rejuvenation have been developed for ameliorating or reversing aging-related *** addition,adopting health-promoting activities,such as caloric restriction,exercise,and calibrating circadian rhythm,has been demonstrated to delay ***,various clinical trials for aging intervention are ongoing,providing more evidence of the safety and efficacy of these ***,we review recent work on the epigenetic regulation of aging and outline the advances in intervention strategies for aging and age-associated diseases.A better understanding of the critical roles of epigenetics in the aging process will lead to more clinical advances in the prevention of human aging and therapy of aging-related diseases.

Background Human metapneumovirus （hMPV） was discovered by scientists in the Netherlands as a novel respiratory virus in 2001 and had been found in children with acute respiratory tract infections （ARTI） in China. The objective of this study was to determine the importance of hMPV infection in children in Beijing and the genotypes of the circulating virus by the surveillance during a four-consecutive-year period.

Characterization and Expression Analysis of Medicago truncatula ROP GTPase Family during the Early Stage of Symbiosis

ROPs （Rho-related GTPases of plants） are small GTPases that are plant-specific signaling proteins. They act as molecular switches in a variety of developmental processes. In this study, seven cDNA clones coding for ROP GTPases have been isolated in Medicago truncatula, and conserved and divergent domains are identified in these predicted MtROP proteins. Phylogenetic analysis has indicated that MtROPs are distributed into groups II, III, IV but group I. MtROP genes are expressed in various tissues at different levels. A quantitative reverse transcription PCR analysis indicated that these MtROP genes have different expression profiles in the roots in response to infection with rhizobia. The expression of MtROP3, MtROP5 and MtROP6 are increased, as the expression of Nod factor or rhizobial-induced marker genes--NFP, Rip1 and Enod11; MtROPIO has showed enhanced expression at a certain post-inoculation time point. No significant changes in MtROP7 and MtROP9 expression have been detected and MtROP8 expression is dramatically decreased by about 80%-90%. Additionally, ROP promoter-GUS analysis has showed that MtROP3, MtROP5 and MtROP6 have elevated expression in transgenic root hairs after rhizobial inoculation. These results might suggest a role for some ROP GTPases in the regulation of early stages during rhizobial infection in symbiosis.

以胃癌术后倾倒综合征患者的临床特征为基础,立足“大气下陷”经典理论,阐述“大气下陷”在其发生、发展中的重要作用,提出脾胃戕损、中气亏虚为发病基础,中气亏虚、大气下陷为核心病机,痰瘀痹阻、癌毒伏郁为病进转折的病机演变规律。治疗强调正邪主次,侧重病机的不同,在益气升陷法的基础上加减变化,扶正以脾胃为核,兼顾他脏之变,择以疏肝潜阳之法,祛邪以解毒为要,另以利水消瘀之法,以达机圆法活,药证相合之效,以期为临床辨治提供新思路。

Optical applications of quantum dots in biological system

Cloning and characterization of a potato StAN11 gene involved in anthocyanin biosynthesis regulation

Anthocyanins are a class of products of plant secondary metabolism and are responsible for tubers color in potato. The biosynthesis of anthocyanins is a complex biological process, in which multiple genes are involved including structural genes and regulatory genes. In this study, StAN11, a WD4o-repeat gene, was cloned from potato cultivar Chieftain （Solanum tuberosum L.）. StAN11 （HQ5995o6） contained no intron and its open reading frame （ORF） was 1,o29 bp long, encoding a putative protein of 342 amino acids. In order to verify its role in anthocyanin biosynthesis, StAN11 was inserted behind the CaMV-35S promoter of pCMBIA1304 and the recombination vector was introduced into the potato cultivar Desiree plants by Agrobacterium-mediated transfor- mation. The color of transgenic tuber skin was significantly deepened, compared to the wild-type control, which was highly consistent with the accumulation of anthocyanin and expression of StAN11 in transgenic lines tuber skin. Further analysis on the expression of Flavonone-3-hydroxylase （F3H）,Dihydroflavonol reductase （DFR）, Anthocyanidin synthase （ANS）, and F1avonoid 3-O-glucosyl transferase （3GT） in transgenic plants revealed that only DFR was upregulated. This result suggested that StAN11 regulated anthocyanin biosynthesis in potato by controlling DFR expression and accumulation of anthocyanin could be increased through overexpression of .StAN11 in the tubers with the genetic background of anthocyanin biosynthesis.
