Potential preservative mechanisms of cardiac rehabilitation pathways on endothelial function in coronary heart disease

Cardiac rehabilitation,a comprehensive exercise-based lifestyle and medical management,is effective in decreasing morbidity and improving life quality in patients with coronary heart *** function,an irreplaceable indicator in coronary heart disease progression,is measured by various methods in traditional cardiac rehabilitation pathways,including medicinal treatment,aerobic training,and smoking ***,studies on the effect of some emerging cardiac rehabilitation programs on endothelial function are *** article briefly reviewed the endothelium-beneficial effects of different cardiac rehabilitation pathways,including exercise training,lifestyle modification and psychological intervention in patients with coronary heart disease,and related experimental models,and summarized both uncovered and potential cellular and molecular mechanisms of the beneficial roles of various cardiac rehabilitation pathways on endothelial *** exercise training and some lifestyle interventions,the enhanced bioavailability of nitric oxide,increased circulating endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs),and decreased oxidative stress are major contributors to preventing endothelial dysfunction in coronary heart ***,the preservation of endothelial-dependent hyperpolarizing factors and inflammatory suppression play *** the one hand,to develop more endothelium-protective rehabilitation methods in coronary heart disease,adequately designed and sized randomized multicenter clinical trials should be advanced using standardized cardiac rehabilitation programs and existing assessment *** the other hand,additional studies using suitable experimental models are warranted to elucidate the relationship between some new interventions and endothelial protection in both macro-and microvasculature.

BACKGROUND Thallium poisoning is rare and difficult to *** diagnosis and treatment of thallium-poisoned patients are essential to prevent morbidity and *** To evaluate the efficacy of treatments and outcomes of five patients with early diagnosis of acute thallium *** Five patients who consumed a thallium-contaminated meal were hospitalized in succession,and underwent clinical examinations such as blood tests and electromyography *** and blood tests confirmed the diagnosis of thallotoxicosis,revealing the occurrence of food *** patients underwent detoxification treatment,including hemoperfusion(HP)and treatment with Prussian blue(PB).A 24-mo follow-up was performed to evaluate the long-term outcomes on the patients after *** Initially,the patients presented with symptoms of acute thallium poisoning including hyperalgesia of the limbs and abdominalgia,which may differ from common peripheral *** symptoms such as hepatic damage and alopecia were observed in all the patients,which further confirmed the diagnosis of *** with chelating agents was ineffective,while HP and treatment with PB drastically decreased the thallium concentration in the urine and *** early diagnosis and intervention,four patients had a good prognosis and no permanent *** patient developed blindness and disability during the 24-mo follow-up *** Identification of incident cluster and characteristic symptoms is extremely important for early diagnosis of acute thallium *** plus PB is essential to improve the prognosis of thallium-poisoned patients.

Semiparametric Additive Hazards Model with Doubly Truncated Data

Doubly truncated data arise when the survival times of interest are observed only if they fall within certain random intervals. In this paper, we consider a semiparametric additive hazards model with doubly truncated data, and propose a weighted estimating equation approach to estimate the regression coefficients, where the weights are estimated both parametrically and nonparametrically. The asymptotic properties of the resulting estimators are established. Simulation studies demonstrate that the proposed estimators perform well in a finite sample. An application to Parkinson's disease data is provided.

Effects of different water levels on phytoplankton in the Harbin section of the Songhua River

The functional diversity index of a phytoplankton body has gradually become a new mean of measuring and *** explore the response of phytoplankton taxonomy and the functional diversity index to interannual environmental changes,a survey on the structure of the phytoplankton community and water physicochemical characteristics of the water was carried out at 28 sampling points in the Harbin section of the Songhua River for three consecutive years in every May from 2021 to *** taxonomy diversity index and the functional diversity index were ***,The relationship between the structure of the characteristics of the community and environmental factors was explored;secondly,we reveal the responses of taxonomic and functional diversity indices to different habitats between years;finally,we explore the main environmental factors that control the taxonomic and functional diversity indices of *** show that,initially,environmental factors in water changes caused by different water levels between years affected the composition of phytoplankton ***,by comparing the taxonomic diversity index and the functional diversity index on a time scale,we found that the taxonomic diversity index was more responsive to environmental ***,the main environmental factors on the phytoplankton taxonomic diversity index were dissolved oxygen,Taxonomic diversity index,and specific conductivity,and the main environmental factors that affected the functional diversity index were dissolved oxygen,turbidity,and water *** study reveals the important role of the taxonomic diversity index in river water quality evaluation,obtained new information on the relative precision of the taxonomic diversity index and the functional diversity index in the evaluation of ecological health of the water,and provided a reliable tool for monitoring river water quality based on aquatic organisms.

Malicious Document Detection Based on GGE Visualization

With the development of anti-virus technology,malicious documents have gradually become the main pathway of Advanced Persistent Threat(APT)attacks,therefore,the development of effective malicious document classifiers has become particularly ***,detection methods based on document structure and behavioral features encounter challenges in feature engineering,these methods not only have limited accuracy,but also consume large resources,and usually can only detect documents in specific formats,which lacks versatility and *** address such problems,this paper proposes a novel malicious document detection method-visualizing documents as GGE images(Grayscale,Grayscale matrix,Entropy).The GGE method visualizes the original byte sequence of the malicious document as a grayscale image,the information entropy sequence of the document as an entropy image,and at the same time,the grayscale level co-occurrence matrix and the texture and spatial information stored in it are converted into grayscale matrix image,and fuses the three types of images to get the GGE color *** Convolutional Block Attention Module-EfficientNet-B0(CBAM-EfficientNet-B0)model is then used for classification,combining transfer learning and applying the pre-trained model on the ImageNet dataset to the feature extraction process of GGE *** shown in the experimental results,the GGE method has superior performance compared with other methods,which is suitable for detecting malicious documents in different formats,and achieves an accuracy of 99.44%and 97.39%on Portable Document Format(PDF)and office datasets,respectively,and consumes less time during the detection process,which can be effectively applied to the task of detecting malicious documents in real-time.

Neutron-induced gamma-ray imaging is a spectroscopic technique that uses characteristic gamma rays to infer the elemental distribution of an ***,this technique requires the use of large facilities to supply a high neutron flux and a time-consuming detection procedure involving direct collimating *** this study,a new method based on low neutron flux was proposed.A single-pixel gamma-ray detector combined with random pattern gamma-ray masks was used to measure the characteristic gamma rays emitted from the *** of the elemental distribution in the sample,comprising 30×30 pixels,were reconstructed using the maximum-likelihood expectation-maximization *** results demonstrate that the elemental imaging of the sample can be accurately determined using this *** proposed approach,which eliminates the need for high neutron flux and scanning measurements,can be used for in-field imaging applications.

Atomic-scale insights into microscopic mechanisms of grain boundary segregation in Al−Cu alloys

This study aims to clarify the mechanisms for the grain boundary(GB)segregation through investigating the absorption of excess solute atoms at GBs in Al−Cu alloys by using the hybrid molecular dynamics/Monte Carlo *** segregation mechanisms,substitutional and interstitial mechanisms,are *** intergranular defects,including dislocations,steps and vacancies,and the intervals in structural units are conductive to the prevalence of interstitial *** substitutional mechanism is favored by the highly ordered twin ***,the two mechanisms affect the GB structure *** is quantified that interstitial mechanism is less destructive to GB structure than substitutional one,and often leads to a segregation level being up to about 6 times higher than the *** findings contribute to atomic scale insights into the microscopic mechanisms about how solute atoms are absorbed by GB structures,and clarify the correlation among intergranular structures,segregation mechanisms and kinetics.

Different Acupuncture Therapies for Postherpetic Neuralgia:An Overview of Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis

Background: Postherpetic neuralgia(PHN) is the most common complication of herpes zoster infection and affects patients' quality of life. Acupuncture therapy is regarded as a competitive method of treatment for analgesia. Objective: To summarize evidence from systematic reviews(SRs) and evaluate the effectiveness and safety of different acupuncture therapies for treating PHN. Methods: Eight electronic databases were searched from their inception to August 5, 2022, including 4 international electronic databases(PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, and Web of Science) and 4 Chinese databases(Chinese Biomedical Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP Database and Wanfang Database).Methodological quality was assessed by A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews 2(AMSTAR 2).The Risk of Bias in Systematic Review(ROBIS) tool was used to assess the risk of bias in SRs. Evidence level was assessed by the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation(GRADE)approach. Results: Totally, 7 SRs were included, including 128 studies and 9,792 patients. In AMSTAR 2, most of the SRs were of low or critically low levels since they had more than 1 critical deficiency. In ROBIS, 1 SR(14.29%)was rated as high risk, and the other 6(85.71%) were rated as low risk. In the GRADE system, 9 outcomes(28.13%)were valued as high level, 5(15.63%) as moderate level, 1(3.13%) as low, and 17(53.13%) as very low. In the effectiveness of acupuncture therapy, the group "moxibustion vs. original medical treatment" [mean difference(MD)=–1.44, 95% confidence interval(CI): –1.80 to –1.08, I2=99%, P<0.00001] was of the highest heterogeneity and the group "bloodletting vs. original medical treatment"(MD=–2.80, 95% CI: –3.14 to –2.46, I2=0, P<0.00001)was of the lowest heterogeneity.
