Nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium are essential nutrients for plant growth and development. However, their contents in soils are limited so that crop production needs to invest a lot for fertilizer supply. To explore the genetic potentialities of crops （or plants） for their nutrient utilization efficiency has been an important research task for many years, in fact, a number of evidences have revealed that plants, during their evolution, have developed many morphological, physiological, biochemical and molecular adaptation mechanisms for acquiring nitrate, phosphate and potassium under stress conditions. Recent discoveries of many transporters and channels for nitrate, phosphate and potassium uptake have opened up opportunities to study the molecular regulatory mechanisms for acquisition of these nutrients. This review aims to briefly discuss the genes and gene families for these transporters and channels, in addition, the functions and regulation of some important transporters and channels are particularly emphasized.

Assessment of tumor response to chemotherapy in patients with breast cancer using ^(18)F-FLT: a meta-analysis

Purpose： To determine the diagnostic performance of 3＇-deoxy-3＇-18F-fluorothymidine positron emission tomography/computed tomography（FLT PET/CT） and FLT PET for evaluating response to chemotherapy in patients with breast cancer.Methods： Databases such as Pub Med（MEDLINE included） and excerpta medica database（EMBASE）, were searched for relevant original articles. The included studies were assessed for methodological quality with quality assessment of diagnosis accuracy studies（QUADAS） score tool. Histopathological analysis and/or clinical and/or radiological follow-up for at least 6 months were used as the reference standard. The data were extracted by two reviewers independently to analyze the sensitivity, specificity, summary receiver operating characteristic（SROC） curve, area under the curve（AUC）, and heterogeneity.Results： The present study analyzed a total of 4 selected articles. The pool sensitivity was 0.773 [95% confidence interval（CI）： 0.594-0.900]. The pooled specificity was 0.685（95% CI： 0.479-0.849） on basis of FEM. The pooled LR^＋, LR^-, and DOR were 2.874（1.492-5.538）, 0.293（0.146-0.589）, and 14.891（3.238-68.475）, respectively. The AUC was 0.8636（±0.0655）, and the Q＊ index was 0.7942（±0.0636）.Conclusions： Our results indicate that 18^F-FLT PET/CT or PET is useful to predict chemotherapy response in breast cancer with reasonable sensitivity, specificity and DOR. However, future larger scale clinical trials will be needed to assess the regimen of 18^F-FLT PET/CT or PET in monitoring the response to chemotherapy in breast cancer patients.

The accurate modeling of depletion,intricately tied to the solution of the neutron transport equation,is crucial for the design,analysis,and licensing of nuclear reactors and their fuel *** paper introduces a novel multi-group Monte-Carlo depletion calculation ***-group cross-sections(MGXS)are derived from both 3D whole-core model and 2D fuel subassembly model using the continuous-energy Monte-Carlo *** calculations employ the multi-group Monte-Carlo method,accommodating both homogeneous and specific local heterogeneous *** proposed method has been validated against the MET-1000 metal-fueled fast reactors,using both the OECD/NEA benchmark and a new refueling benchmark introduced in this *** findings suggest that microscopic MGXS,produced via the Monte-Carlo method,are viable for fast reactor depletion ***,the locally heterogeneous model with angular-dependent MGXS offers robust predictions for core reactivity,control rod value,sodium void value,Doppler constants,power distribution,and concentration levels.

Potassium （K＋） is one of the essential macronutrients for plant growth and development. However, K＋ content in soils is usually limited so that the crop yields are restricted. Plants may adapt to K＋-deficient environment by adjusting their physiological and morphological status, indicating that plants may have evolved their sensing and signaling mechanisms in response to K＋-deficiency. This short review particularly discusses some components as possible sensors or signal transducers involved in plant sensing and signaling in response to K＋-deficiency, such as K＋ channels and transporters, H＋-ATPase, some cytoplasmic enzymes, etc. Possible involvement of Ca2＋ and ROS signals in plant responses to K＋-deficiency is also discussed.

Automatic guided vehicles are widely used in various types of warehouses including the automated container *** paper provides a decision framework for port managers to design and schedule automatic guided vehicle routing plans under time-varying traffic conditions.A large number of computational experiments on a grid graph are conducted to validate the efficiency of the proposed decision *** also proposed one efficient queueing rule in automatic guided vehicle routing *** the complexity of the problem is high,computational results show that our proposed decision framework can provide high quality solutions within a relatively short computation time.

The highly efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of NHC·VOCl_(3) containing symmetrical or unsymmetrical Nheterocyclic carbene(NHC) ligands by the transmetallation reaction of NHC·AgCl with VOCl_(3).The total isolated yield of VOCl_(3)[1,3-(2,4,6-Me_(3)C_(6)H_(2))_(2)(NCH=)_(2)C:](V4') reached 86% by transmetallation reaction,which is much higher than that(48%) by direct coordination *** methodology has also been used to synthesize the novel vanadium complexes containing unsymmetrical NHC ligands of VOCl_(3)[PhCH_(2)NCH=CHNR)C:](V5',R=2,4,6-Me_(3)C_(6)H_(2);V6',R=2,4-Me_(2)-6-Ph-C_(6)H_(2);V7',R=2,6-^(i)Pr_(2)-C_(6)H_(3)) with high yield,which could not be obtained by direct coordination *** catalytic activity and copolymerization ability would be improved by introducing unsymmetrical NHC ligands due to their less steric bulky *** vanadium complex V5' containing unsymmetrical NHC ligand exhibits higher catalytic activity(3.7×10^(5)g_(copolymer)·mol^(-1) of V·h^(-1)) than that of V4' containing symmetrical NHC ***,the higher propylene incorporation ratio(45.6 mol%) in the copolymers of ethylene with propylene could be obtained by using V5' than that(39.9%) by using V4'.The results would provide a highly efficient strategy for the synthesis of early transition metal complexes containing versitile NHC ligands,affording the catalyst with both high catalytic activity and copolymerization ability for the synthesis of high performance polyolefin elastomers.
